"Are you sure you listened?He killed his last mate and kits,and your going to be next if you stick around with him.I can get rid of him.I can make you safe." She insisted,her voice rising with every word.Her fur was starting to stand on end,her yellow eyes filled with rage.

Coldwind kept his eyes closed,but he was tempted to leap out and kill Raventalon on the spot.He stayed silent though,not wanting to ruin the plan.

"I'll be there when he kills his next victim, and I know when he's going to do it to.I heard him talking it over with one of his friends.He was going to do it in three days.Unless you don't want to see." She said in a almost whisper."And I think,it might have even been you.I can save you."

" but how? I mean how will you get rid of him? Sorry I'm still confused ..... I've never had any one try to kill me before " she meowed and looked down this was getting a bit tricky she looked as though she was a kit learning how to hunt for the first time she was that clueless . Leafhide lashed his tail back and forth in waiting. It felt like he had been waiting for ages with this agonizing paw injury. Stupid Batface, he thought scornfully. If he had just listened then I wouldn't be in this mess. Leafhide had been hunting with the black tom, chatting idly until Batface suggested they eat the prey before it gets to camp. It was already getting cold out from the coming leaf-bare, so Leafhide refused and demanded they take them back to camp. That had earned him a scratch on the face. Of course, Leafhide retaliated. His attacker didn't come out unscathed. Unfortunately, Batface had gotten ahold of his paw. And now he had a deep hole in his pad. Grumbling Leafhide scanned the clearing for the ginger medicine cat. "Where is that old fleabag?" he muttered under his breath.

Shinefang had been in his den all day tending to other cats. All he wanted was to go out and get a little sunshine on his old pelt, but before he could so much as stretch, he saw a tom sitting outside the medicine den favoring his paw as he sat there looking irritated. Sighing, the medicine cat padded over. "You. Leafhide, right? What's the matter with your paw?" The old tom sat directly in front of the younger cat and reached out with his own paw to get a better look.

"I'll kill him you mouse brain!" She hissed in annoyance,and then rembered she was trying to convince her step daughter.She sighed and sat down,letting her fur lie flat."This is a kill or be killed situation." She said,calm once again.

As if on cue, Leafhide heard the old medicine cat speak. Had he heard him insult him? Leafhide frowned and narrowed his eyes. What did he care? He was just an elder in his eyes. "Isn't it obvious?" Leafhide offered his injured paw and watched Shinefang carefully, eyes wary. Leafhide flicked an ear in the direction of his scratch, and turned his head slightly. There was a cut, not deep, but still welling up with blood.

Coldwind stepped out of the den."You could try,but I think you will be dead before you can make the first blow." He said.Raventalon stared at them in suprise,then her fur bristled and she hissed at both of them,tail lashing."You played me for a fool!That will be your last mistake!Right when your alone!" She practically yowled,her claws digging into the ground.
