The deaf warrior followed after the patrol, short and stubby tail lashing back and forth. There was that prickle of frustration because watching Frostbite nod in agreement to something, something .. Asterdance was simply reminded, a bit harshly, they were an afterthought inside their clanmates' head. They had been trying to improve on being an .. advocate for themself but with Sparrowstar gone, they felt as if they had tumbled back ten steps. Especially considering now that they were out in the territory, their limbs felt weak with nervousness. Not for the outsiders, Asterdance could handle them. Expect that was the thing that worried them.

What they were capable of.

Even if a cat wasn't.. good, they didn't.. ever want to take a life. It didn't matter, the bobtail felt as if they had to do this. So, they attempted to follow after Spikystalker, mimicking his movements even though they did not have a lick of clue what they were doing. These outsiders hurt Houndspirit and Bumblebreak (they didn't care if they didn't use claws, it still mattered) - two warriors that they had grew up with.
..
They weren't just letting that go. Not when there were children, either. They would not fall victim to cruel claws.

Sootfur padded carefully near the lead of the group, silently wondering if Asterdance could manage such a mission out of camp without hearing any sounds. Will he scent a trail before us? He felt the urge to move quicker, walk faster. If they didn't hurry up, something terrible could happen to young, innocent kits. Poor Houndspirit...
He looked behind him to check briefly on the rest of the patrol, looking for any hint on their faces. Had they found something? He was already with his mouth open, inhaling fresh air into his glands for the familiar tang of Thunderclan. Of milk.

It was almost as if her claws would end up permanently unsheathed after this, with how far Cinderpaw had them extended. Her gait threatened to break into a bound at any moment, only resisting the temptation to go quicker by telling herself how stupid it would be if she left the rest of her patrol in the dust.

...It would be stupid. Something she was slowly being less convinced of that now that she thought more about it. Still, she fought within herself to let the rest of these cats prove themselves. She couldn't be the only one anymore, the only one who would rend a kit-killer with her claws. The only one who would care if their bodies lined their border.

Right?

"Red stones... she mentioned red stones, on the twolegplaces." Cinderpaw wracked her mind as they trodded towards the monotonous lines of twoleg dens. There were only so many that had these red stones, right? This had to be easy. This needed to be easy. For them. She opened her jaws wide to scent the air. "Is anyone smelling any of the scents that were on Houndpaw's body?"

It almost was like she was begging them for a lead.
