He raised his eyebrows. “I have a cabin in the middle of the woods. I don’t fair well with society and it’s demands.” He told a half truth. “Just walking back from a hunt. Didn’t catch anything though.” He lied. “Why don’t you explore in the day? That’s when others like to come out.”

Sky looked away. "I don't like people. And in the day people are out. They scare away the animals. " She said. Though, she knew he wasn't telling the whole truth. "I don't have anywhere to go anyways. I don't have a home." The words came out emotionless. She looked back up at Damian.

Damian nodded. “I can understand.” When she spoke the rest his expression barely changed. He only raised an eyebrow. “You sleep in the woods then..?” He asked.

Sky expression didn't change. "Sometimes. Though, I have another way..." She said. She didn't dare tell him the other thing. It was against the law and she didn't want to get caught. "I'm getting my own house soon. It will be in the woods. I should be getting it tomorrow. " She looked at the time "or today.".

The man shrugged. ‘It’s a wonder your still alive missy. I can smell your blood from miles away. It’s so different...’ His interest was peaked however when she mentioned a house in the woods. “Really? You do know the folk lore that surrounds this place correct? And with people going missing...it’s not safe for a girl such as you.” He paused. “You look young as well. I guess you could own a house in the woods at such a young age...do you even know how to protect yourself?” He asked half joking half serious.

Skyler's expression changed. "I can protect myself?! I'm not helpless you know? " She yelled, her anger taking control. "I've been in many dangerous situations, and made it out ok. So I'm pretty sure I can protect myseelf." She said. She also had a sword with her, just in case.

”I did not mean to offend you miss-“ he started. “I’m just a concerned civilian.” There was a mix of irritation and amusement in his tone, and in the shimmer of his eyes. His eyes flickered to her sword but his expression did not change.

Sky looked up at him coldly. "I think I should go." Was all she said. I don't have time for people like him. she thought.

Damian nodded. “As do i. The forest at night is no place for people at night.” He said before spinning on his heals chuckling, then disappearing into the darkness. Both figuratively and literally.

Skyler's hostile eyes watched him. She looked at The sky, which was pinkish. He stopped me from going to the woods! she thought. She headed toward an office.

After she got her paperwork she went toward her new home. She walked inside noticing something's that needed fixing. She got a hammer and began to work on the outside of the house. She accidentally cut herself, causing her to bleed.

An unsettling atmosphere filled the house since she walked in. It was as if something unnatural was watching her from the shadows, stalking her and observing her every move. However, when she shed blood an unmistakable growl came from the dark corner of the house, close towards the basement door..
