Maplefur jumped up and smiled excitedly. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" She opened her mouth, already trying to scent any nearby prey. "This time, I'll make a clean catch," she meowed, remembering her sloppy attempt when hunting a bird during their first hunt together. "I hope we find a rabbit... Or a vole," she meowed, licking her lips.

"Haha, yeah." Amberstorm laughed and climbed up a nearby tree. "Hey, i can scent a few voles from up here..." He signaled to his mate to follow him as he climbed from treetop to treetop.

Maplefur followed Amberstorm. "Hey, your fur is the same color of some of these leaves," she commented as she neared him. The calico opened her mouth, trying to pinpoint the voles her mate had scented.

"Yeah, well it won't always help though. most seasons im just relying on the number of leaves." He continued towards the scent "It should be easier to scent it now..."

Maplefur nodded. Her own fur didn't exactly help too much, though her black splotches sometimes helped her blend in. The smell of vole drifted to her, teasingly close. "Alright, when you find it, you can catch it and I'll watch what you do."

"Okay." Soon Amberstorm had located the vole and sawed off a loose twig from the tree. He hooked it with his paw before it fell and threw it across the clearing. The vole naturally ran the other direction... and when it did he dropped down ontop of it. "And that's how its done" He finally finished it off and buried it under a small pile of dirt.

Maplefur nodded, impressed with how easily he had caught it. "Alright, I'll try it with the next prey we find." Hopefully it's not a bird, I have a feeling this wouldn't really work well with them.

"Alright!" Amberstorm climbed back up the tree to meet her. "Can you scent the next one? I know it seems link an apprentice question but its different to scent things up here..."

(She can ask about how to catch birds any time XD)

"Of course I can!" Maplefur huffed indignantly. She opened her mouth, pelt heating up a bit as she realized she was having difficulties with the different scents. She didn't say anything to Amberstorm, instead focusing more on the scents wafting to her. I think I smell mouse... "I smell a mouse," She meowed confidently, while she still wasn't positive if she actually did or not.

Amberstorm decided to try the scent "Its a bit old... but not to old. Lets go follow it." He lead her through the trees, since it would still be difficult to jump around the trees. "Once we get there im not going to give you any tips. so be warned"
