"Usually, but since today is your first day, I'll get it for you. You deserve to rest for a little bit. Besides, it doesn't hurt me to do something nice for you, does it?" she purred. "I'm going to go check in with Halfgaze then I'll bring you some food." she trotted off towards the Clan deputy without waiting for an answer.

A few minutes later, Nightshade poked her head in the apprentice den. She spotted Haypaw and trotted over to her. She dropped the vole in her jaws at the apprentices' feet. She smiled. "I brought you some food, like I promised."
