Coping with death by use of sand [PRIVATE]

Another day of eternity, pff, Starclan can get quite old when you die family and friendless.
That was the case for Runningpaw.
He had died as a young apprentice, killed brutally by a rouge for “being to close to her territory” pfft, so what?
So... what?
As he was hunting for some food (though he didn’t need to eat) he smelled the kind-of familiar scent of Riverclan.
Hmm, looked like a new deadie.
Runningpaw abandoned his hunt and walked over to the new arrival, she was coming to, and she was probably going to have a lot of questions, so he sat down in front of her and waited.

Ravenpaw opened her eyes. It was different here! Where was she?! All she remembered was finding Fishspeckle and then a badger. She looked around, and jumped when she saw a cat. At first, her mouth couldn't form words. And that unusual speechlessness only got worse when she realized the cat had stars tangled in his fur! And when she looked down, there were a little bit of them in her pelt, too! And when she could finally speak again, all she said was, "Huh?" @Willowfern

He stared at the she-cat, wondering how she had died, perhaps drowning? No, Riverclan cats could swim. Who knew. Only her.
And perhaps, a witness or two.

"St-" Ravenpaw couldn't even finish the word. "St-" She couldn't. What was he talking about? "StarClan?!" she blurted out. "Wh- What?" She had no idea what to say. What was she doing in StarClan? Maybe the badger sent her there to have a dream, and to apologize to her? And that's when she remembered. "I forgot to give the badger sand!" She ran off in a random direction to fix her mistake. The badger had to be that way. @Willowfern

“What-?” Runningpaw stood there dumbfounded until he registered what she said, running after her was quite easy since he knew almost every inch of the land, and he quickly overcame her and blocked her way.
“What are you talking about? Giving a badger sand? Badgers don’t eat sand, at least, that’s what I know.”

Ravenpaw rolled her eyes. What was this cat, an idiot? "Of course badgers don't eat sand! The badger was angry, so I was trying to give it sand so it would be happy! Nobody eats sand!" Well, actually, she hadn't tasted sand yet. It might taste good! She'd have to remember that for later: find some SAND and EAT IT! Or, why not do it now? She ran again to find sand! Saaaaaaaannnnnnnnndddddddd! @Willowfern

Runningpaw pounded after the molly, frustration fueling him. He pounced on top of her, bowling her over and attempted to pin her down,
“Why would you give a badger sand? Badgers hate cats and- Ooooh.” He stepped back, “You were killed by a badger then...” He gave her a sympathetic look, “There are no badgers in Starclan.” He sat down, his white tail curled around his paws, “What’s your name?”

"Whoa!" Ravenpaw was knocked over again, and this time, Runningpaw was on top of her. She looked up. "I think that's what happened, because the badger was attacking me, and then I was here!" Then she stopped as she came to a new realization, not hearing when Runningpaw said there weren't any badgers in StarClan. "I'm DEAD?!?!?!" @Willowfern

“Yes, you are dead,” Runningpaw’s eyes softened, “I’m sorry, you look about the same age as I was when I died,” He shuffled his paws, “I can attempt answer any questions you may have.”

Ravenpaw, still on her back on the ground, just sat there. And sat there. With her mouth partly open. And then she spoke. "Sand?" It was the only word she could form. Sand was awesome! But she was... She was.... "Dead?" And then something else hit her. "Appleseed?" She'd killed her mentor on accident in a training session, and that meant they had to be there. And then something else hit her. "Fishspeckle?" She hoped he was okay! And all of this was probably the most rational thinking she'd ever done in her life. @Willowfern
