Birchkit watched in patient silence as the other kit composed himself, his own greeting a soft and unsure mew. It was apparent that he'd never explored past the nursery before, but the same could be said for the little dark tabby. Granted, he was more confident in other ways than socialising, but the outside world was still big and foreboding to a cat so small. His deep green eyes were still trained on the other kit, unblinking as he tried to figure out who this was. He hadn't met many of the others, under the assumption that he'd be able to meet them when he was an apprentice... So he may as well stay with his mother for as long as he could. At least his littermates would join him in training.

"Pebblekit? Hi Pebblekit," he chirped in his squeaky voice, glad to see that the lighter kit was calming down. The small tom glanced at him in confusion as curiosity flashed in Pebblekit's eyes, though understood once the question was asked. "Mm... I stay near Darkmoon.." he explained, wondering if that would be embarrassing to admit. He did love his mother, and each of his littermates were always his first pick in who got his attention. "You wouldn't see me. She's big and fluffy, so I can hide in her fur!" He conceded in trying to hide how family-oriented he was, deciding it would be pointless. He did still rely on his mother, after all. The brown tabby tilted his head slightly as Pebblekit lurched towards him, wondering what he was trying to do. It wasn't a challenge, was it? Birchkit had only ever roughhoused with his siblings, and even then they'd curl up together, afterwards. Unsure how to react, he blinked rapidly, fluffy fur puffing out in the slightest. Though at the smaller kit's question, he relaxed and dropped back down onto his haunches. "No, never! I've never been out here. Have you?" It was a silly question, in a way. He'd seen the fear in the little cat's posture as he'd left the nursery.

Pebblekit seemed far more relaxed than when Birchkit had originally found him. Perhaps all it had took was a friendly meow, or possibly another kit like himself out and about, but regardless, Pebblekit was feeling more and more comfortable by the second. At mention of Birchkit staying near his mother, Darkmoon, the small kit nodded in understanding. "I stay by my mama, Softflower, too. It's nice and warm in her nest!" He mewled quite fondly, the love for his own mother clearly reflected in his hazel eyes. Pebblekit was very close with his mother, well, considering he didn't know who his father was. For all he knew, his father could be a Starclan cat! Needless to say, it was easy for him to empathize with Birchkit in that regard. Although... he felt like he had heard his mother mention the name 'Darkmoon' before! It's not important... he thought to himself before returning his attention back to his new friend. The kitten's eyes went wide as saucers, though a bit of disbelief was evident. "What?!" Pebblekit couldn't believe that the other kitten had never left the nursery before! He looked so confident and sure of himself! Though, anyone would look that way to Pebblekit in his current state.

"You've never been outside the nursery?" Intrigue pricked at his tiny paws, tail curled up into the air with interest. The tuxedo kitten shook his head, a warm smile on his maw. "It looks like you've been out before! You look so brave!" Pebblekit meowed excitedly, even more reassured by the fact that the other was in the same predicament. The same couldn't be said for him... He knew he'd looked like a newborn kit wailing for its mother when he first came out. Come to think of it, only a few minutes should have gone by! I've been out for so long! Pebblekit mused to himself. "No," his voice was curt, but polite, "I've never been out either. It's scary out here..." The kitten lowered his gaze to his paws, his more shy nature overcoming him. He wished he could seem as braze as Birchkit had. "I was scared someone would step on my tail." Pebblekit falsely admitted. It had been clear as day that Birchkit had seen the whole thing.

The fluffy tom giggled at his explanation, glad to see that this kit loved his mother just as much as he did. He wondered how Pebblekit's life had been so far, if he'd faced a similar situation to the dark tabby. Of course, there was no way he'd no for sure... Unless he asked, though he didn't want to pry too far into the lighter kit's life. "Really, never!" he responded, wondering why the tom was so taken aback by his response. Was it strange to believe? He was only 3 moons old, so why would Pebblekit be surprised that he'd never been outside of the nursery before? Maybe he thinks I'm taking it well, the dark-brown kit thought as Pebblekit blabbered in surprise. He wasn't too frightened, knowing he could trust that his clanmates would be mindful of him. It helped to know that another kit had left the nursery, too.

"Oh... I do?" he queried with a curious expression, ears pricked at the tom's explanation. So that was it... I guess that makes sense. He smiled at the claim, taking it as a compliment. "Never... Well now you have," he purred glancing at the tuxedo kit. At the mention of having his tail stepped on, the small tabby thought to himself for a moment. "I don't think that'll happen." Maybe he could owe his bravery to his trust, and maybe his naivety. He simply expected that good things would happen, as long as you followed the rules. Pebblekit seemed more aware of risk, though it was something Birchkit had never really focused on.

Swanlake was ready for this battle. Still why should this happen? She asked herself. But battling with her former clan is better then battling aginst Thunderclan. She was practicing battle moves in the clearing hoping that dhe would be fine in the battle. Thunderclan does not have a med.cat so Heatherfur will have to work hard. She thought as she praticed the front paw swipe.

All the hustle and bustle around camp was getting Sunstream excited. Of course, it wasn't a good kind of excited, more like a major unease. Maybe there was something he could do to take his mind off of current events. Talking to another cat maybe? The tom glanced around camp, seeing familiar pelts all over but none that he particularly wanted to talk to at the moment. He wasn't really feeling like himself. His thoughts wandered to his kits, wondering where they were. No doubt out with their mentors about now training. The golden-and-white tom didn't want to disturb them. He let out a sigh then flopped on the ground with a small poof of dirt around him, his head in his paws. He was bored but he knew he should stick around camp in case something interesting happened. Or in case he was needed.

Ghostpaw walked out of the apprentice den,excited to train with Grovepaw and Pikepaw. He sensed tension in the air almost as soon as he entered the clearing though.There had been a lot of tension recently because of the other clans,but this was more than usual. Was the battle really approaching now?at first he got worried,but then an idea crossed his mind. If i can fight hard enough,maybe i can become a warrior sooner!,he thought to himself.He looked around for Pikepaw,wanting to tell both of his siblings about his idea before the battle.

Pikepaw was curled up near the fresh kill pile her eyes narrowed. She watched her brother walk out of the apprentice's den.She'd sit up to see what he was doing,but she then turned her head away from him. She wasn't super happy after the argument not that long ago with one of her siblings. Pikepaw remembered about a battle? That was going to happen. A-A battle?! No not now!She thought about the battle. She didn't want to fight since she knew something bad might happen to her or one of her siblings. Pikepaw was a pacifist person and sometimes refused to fight even though she was training to fight she still didn't want to. She took a deep breath and waited for Ghostpaw to notice her and then try to find Grovepaw afterwards.
