The voice didn't reply.
It appeared that Magma was in a ravine. The only way out seemed to be through a tunnel on the far end.

Magma waited a moment before looking at the tunnel. He looked around for any other way to go but it looked like the only way was the tunnel. He took a deep breath before going into the tunnel.

As soon as Magma reached the 'light', the floor vanished from underneath him. The light was from a hole in the ceiling above. Below him, a deep chasm gaped open. And now he was falling fast.
