At the second attempt of pushing him over, he squawked a little, irritated, and shuffled out of the way from the blow but luckily wasn’t knocked into the dirt. ”I don’t think you can say that when you’ve been the one pestering me. You’re a warrior, you’re free to leave this camp at any time.” That was punctuated by Fawnkit sticking his tongue out at Lionstorm, brown doe eyes squeezing closed for a brief moment before reopening. Pointedly, he replied, “It’s hard to know my place when some warriors are terrible role models.” At this point, he was considering the possibility that he genuinely did have an attitude problem since he was sassing Lionstorm, but as far as he was concerned, the warrior deserved every bit of shade thrown his direction.

"You're a kit," Lionstorm sneered. "You're at the bottom of the food chain, and honestly? If I were in charge of this stupid Clan, you'd be the last to eat. Elders and kits like you don't deserve to eat before cats who actually provide for this Clan." This time, he wasn't being 'gentle' like before, and he moved to trample over Fawnkit, intending on stomping on the kit to make him squeak out in pain. He wanted this kit to hurt, and he was frustrated the kit had been evading his efforts to push him back into the snow. "Who, your parents? They obviously haven't taught you any manners."

When Lionstorm basically trampled him in what seemed to be a fit of rage, Fawnkit made a surprised noise and attempted to shield himself from the attacks with battering paws, an effort to fend off Lionstorm from further aggression. He wriggled away from the warrior to put distance betweem them, staring with distrust in his eyes since this went against everything he'd believed warriors were for: providing for and protecting the Clan. Hurting their own ranks wasn't a part of that, though he supposed he could've been nicer- Lionstorm could've too, however. Fawnkit didn't answer his question, didn't say anything more, because he didn't want to restart the physical abuse that he seemed prone to if pushed enough.

Lionstorm snarled angrily at the kit as he wiggled away, contemplating unsheathing his claws and leaving some scars the kit could remember him by. "What," he mocked him. "Are you going to cry now? Can't handle being roughed up? I'm surprised all that weight didn't absorb the blows." He took a step toward him, eyes narrowing as his gaze drifted over his smaller body. "Are you hurt, kit?" They didn't have a medicine cat, so the kit needed to toughen up if he was going to complain about how he got stomped on. Lionstorm would do far worse to him if he survived to apprenticeship.

"No, I'm..." Fawnkit started and peered down at himself, the blaze of white fur coating his chest. "I think I'm okay." Lionstorm's attempts at hurting him had been semi-successful, likely leaving a few bruises from how he ached in select spots, but it wasn't anything more serious than what he might get playing moss ball with a kit bigger than him. Straightening up and glad to feel an absence of pain, Fawnkit returned the step with one of his own, uncertain if Lionstorm would attempt to attack him again but this time ready for the onslaught of trampling. Tentatively, under his breath, he meowed, "Maybe, uh-- you might have too much confidence in your ability to actually hurt me.." but didn't know if he would hear that, now sort of hoping it slipped passed his ears.

Lionstorm didn't miss what he said, and it only enraged the golden tabby further. "What was that?" he hissed, lunging forward with the intent of tackling the kit, pining him down so he could stomp down on his bulgy stomach. He wasn't too confident to hurt a stupid kit, he'd show him. He'd make him squeal for forgiveness, regret being the insolent brat he was, apologize to Lionstorm for all his wrongdoings. "I'm going to make you hurt. Let's see you become an apprentice when Fallenstar sees you crying out in pain."

Fawnkit wasn't prepared for THAT scale of an attack and squeaked as he was pummeled to the ground by Lionstorm's larger form; stomping, rolling, that didn't compare to this, and he'd not realized his comment would elicit such a violent reaction considering they were in full view of the camp. Terrified, huge eyes were glued onto Lionstorm, but they shrunk to pinpricks when a sudden blow landed on his stomach. It forced the breath from his lungs, and caused Fawnkit to curl inward involuntarily, his body trying to recover from the harsh blow. Pride forgotten, Fawnkit squealed and cried in pain and from the awful thought that Lionstorm could continue to hurt him. Already, it was causing him to gasp between mewls and shudder through breaths since he couldn't seem to refill the air lost, shivering wildly with tremors that wracked his frame.

The sharp squeal caused satisfaction to flood through Lionstorm's veins, muzzle twisting back victoriously as he glared down at his victim. Fawnkit seemed defeated, put in his place, but he wasn't done with him yet. No, this kit had caused him too much trouble, and he had every intent to make him squeak more, to make him squirm and plead for sweet release.

What plans he had were disrupted by a heavy force knocking into him, sending him crashing into the ground near Fawnkit, the blow leaving him winded momentarily. A familiar calico form moved protectively between them, standing guard by the kit to prevent Lionstorm from tormenting him further.

"Lionstorm," the voice of his adoptive father was a snarl. "What is wrong with you, attacking a kit? Get out of my sight." There was an edge to his words, an implication he wasn't in a mood for arguments, but Lionstorm wasn't going to back down. He moved to get to his paws, lips curling as he attempted to approach the kit, only to be knocked down again by Firehawk, this time harder, and trying to get back up again actually hurt. "I said go. You are not to go near this kit again, do you understand me?"

Lionstorm shot the kit a dirty look, making a mental note to visit him again when his father wasn't around. What was Firehawk going to do, rat him out to Fallenstar? He didn't believe the older warrior had the guts. "Fine." It was short, bitter, angry, and he wasn't sincere in the slightest. He wasn't going to stay away, not now. Not ever.

He slinked away with a slight limp to his steps, sparing a glance backwards to see Firehawk turn back toward Fawnkit, nudging him gently on his side.

"Are you alright?" Firehawk's voice was gentle, losing the fierceness it previously held. "Can you stand? I can escort you back to your parents if you'd like."

Fawnkit initially didn't react to the larger warrior's interruption directly but was relieved when the pressure holding him down had been removed, not that it helped his breathing situation. He was still whining and crying while he tried to get a decent inhale into his system, but it wasn't working with his diaphragm refusing to cooperate after being stomped upon.

Opening his eyes hesitantly, he didn't see Lionstorm in his line of sight until he glanced around and noticed the warrior stalking off angrily. In his place was a calico tom, an unfamiliar one at that, and Fawnkit peered at him with uncertainty twinging his gaze. Although the interaction didn't suggest he'd approved of Lionstorm's actions, his ability to trust his fellow clanmates had been shaken given the recent encounter. Warriors weren't as noble and nice as he'd once believed them to be.

However, this particular warrior didn't seem violent and filled with rage as Lionstorm had been, nor was he treating him with blatant disrespect. Fawnkit limply rolled onto his side as he was nudged, lingering there as he continued to shake in a terrified heap of kitten fluff. "Yeah," he said softly but didn't want to elaborate, or mention that everything hurt now. Lionstorm was right, he couldn't be a baby if he was going to be a warrior eventually. At the offer of bringing him to his parents, Fawnkit burned with shame and humiliation, forcing his body to his feet despite the internal protests. "No-- I mean, thank you, but I'll pass." And he walked away with his head lowered, eyes trained on the ground.
