Darcy blinked. 32 moons. So 7 moons younger than she was, therefore a child compared to her. Not that she was old. Because she wasn't. When he looked at the poppy flower she brought, she smiled tightly, scrunching her face up. ''Might as well.'' She murmured. ''Now let's go, mr romance. Hopefully we don't get eaten by any foxes while we're out, that'd be a real shame.'' Standing up, leaving him to carry the flower, she swept out of the clearing, ready to go find him some desperate cat so she got left alone.

(( Percy ))

* He mewed after her. *
" I wasn't kidding ya know. "
* He pointed at the poppy flower. *
" I was thinking of giving it to ya. "

Darcy froze, eye widening, and turned to face him. He was going to turn out just like Joni. Cats like him always did. He was going to act like he loved her then the moment she pumped out kittens, he was going to leave her all alone, in leaf-bare, with newborn kits and no way to provide for them. ''But... but I just gave it to you. Plus, I don't even know your name.'' She stammered slightly, tail trembling, and shuffled her paws. Damn.

" Aw sorry. I'm Percy and you? "
* He genuinely looked happy for once. *
" Sorry I hate it when I forget my manners. "

Don't break him, Darcy. Don't. The expecting she-cat padded back into the clearing as he introduced himself. Percy. Darcy and Percy. Percy and Darcy. Their names sounded alike. The molly blinked her emerald hues, ''I'm Darcy.'' Sitting down next to the three voles she had caught that morning, she selected one and tossed it pityingly at him, then proceeded to devour another. Pregnancy was no joke, she forgot about being hungry all the time.

* He looked down at the mouse Darcy threw to him. He looked up at her as she devoured her pieces. He tossed it back. *
" With little ones on the way ya gonna need all the food you need. "
* He sat down and started grooming himself. *

The golden tabby looked up as he tossed it back. ''If you insist.'' She mumbled, grabbing it up and ripping chunks off. Glancing at the sky, she rose to her paws. ''While you're cleaning yourself, I'm going to go out and look for some more prey. If I get eaten by something, don't miss me too much.'' Joking about her own mortality was Darcy's go-to way of humor. Nothing to be done about that.

* He shook his head. *
" Why should ye go out when ya with little ones. I'll go and found some. "
* He trotted off. After awhile he came back with two rabbits and three voles. *
" Here we go. "
* He mewed dropping them down. *

But while Percy was out hunting, Darcy decided to go out on a walk. After all, she still had a while before she got too chubby, might as well live these days to the fullest. The molly was walking when she heard a rustle behind her in the bushes. Ugh, it must be Percy. She turned, narrowing her eyes out in the undergrowth. ''Percy, stop being a creep and come out here.'' She snapped, but then took in a breath. ''If that's even you.'' Whatever it was, it sucked at stalking. It was most likely Percy. She had known the tomcat for mere hours and she was already annoyed and interested by him.

* He looked around the clearing. *
" Um Darcy? Where are you? "
* He was getting worried. He started to yowl her name. *
" DARCY!!! "
