ShadowClan Apprentices' Den

Upon hearing the loud thump coming from the apprentice den, Dawnstar's ears twitched and she headed to investigate it. It didn't take long nor was it hard to figure out who had fallen. Young Risingpaw was sprawled out in uncomfortable positions. A mere long stare confirmed that she was not breathing. The clan leader was beyond concerned since she had just seen the apprentice at the recent meeting, she looked healthy and fit.

The deceased she-cat before her looked like she had struggled to breathe, her maw wide open along with her eyes. Whatever happened to her it had been sudden and completely unexpected. Dawnstar's ears swerved to outside the den where she could hear a commotion. A violently hissing, Dawnstar scooped up Risingpaw's still-warm body and made her way out to the clearing.

Lynxshade eyed a sleepy Thornpaw with scorn in her eyes. She still didn't like the young tom's way of talking to the warriors, and she needed to address that. Shadowclan seemed to lack respect toward the oldest ones. "You were the one who first complained about not making any work, if I remember correctly?" She said casually, scratching her chin with her hind leg. "Do not put elders into this."

After another scornful look, she softened her gaze and flicked her tail to invite Thornpaw to follow him. This would be her real day as a mentor, and she wanted to start in the right way. Without saying anything she headed toward the camp entrance and only turned her gaze back once to check whether he was following her.
As she dove into the thorn tunnel, she told him: "Today we're hunting."

WillowPaw tucked herself in an unclaimed moss bed, it was her first time sleeping in the apprentices den. She wondered if she'd have her first lesson tomorrow with her mentor DeerPounce, or if he would maybe let her get used to being an apprentice first. She was excited, she had guessed she would've been terrified of being an apprentice, and then be petrified in fear for eternity when she became a warrior. WillowPaw was pretty sure being a warrior meant blood, murder, possibly betrayal, more blood and more murder. Not the most welcoming thing, if you asked her. Maybe being an apprentice wasn't that bad, she was the Timid kind, after all. She yawned and laid her head down on her paws, she was still quite worried about apprenticeship. She drifted to sleep after awhile (Maybe a Wee bit more than awhile), sleep was a good thing, in her opinion, mostly because she would probably die if it didn't exist. She had a good snooze that night, despite her excitement.

Seedpaw stretched as she awoke, opening her mouth in a yawn like some sort of eldritch horror before blepping.

Cryingelk lay in a small, moss and bracken nest. His tail lay out, flicking softly as he shut his eyes and slept.

Yellowpaw slid into the apprentice den, glaring at one of the 'bigger than average apprentices.' Yellowpaw was annoyed at how many idiots with warrior names were taking up his den. He supposed it was Dawnstar's fault, but they could at least try to leave room for the cats who should've been sleeping there.

He definitely couldn't complain to Dawnstar about something like that, because the warriors technically did suck at there job. Wait, then it technically their fault they were there.

Yellowpaw took the route to his nest farthest from any warriors (apprentices, he guessed). He was hoping this was apparent to them so they would do something so that they could LEAVE.

Yellowpaw loafed comfortably in his bed, and though the bite of leafbare was weaker in the den than outside of it, it was still pretty cold. Winter was definitely not Yellowpaw's favorite season. He didn't have long fur, and prey basically evaporated. The only thing good about the warriors (and/or kits or apprentices) was that they were extra people to warm up the den.

"Hey, do you think the warrior-apprentices are obnoxious, or it that just me?" He whispered to the closest real apprentice.

Annoying. Incredibly inconvenient. Jaw clenched tight, his front paws cover both his eyes to protect them from the light of the morning. For some odd reason it made his ever lasting headache so much worse. As if the sunlight alone was blasting through his skull and making it throb painfully for no good reason. It hurts! It hurts and he's sick of it hurting! Why was his head in so much pain lately, anyway? A powerful creature such as he could survive pushing through the constant suffering but it wasn't exactly pleasant.

Turning over in his nest to face away from the light of the den entrance, he hisses softly to himself, eyes still squeezed tightly shut. It was bad today and hopefully it passed soon.
