Dawnkit giggled a bit, grooming her friends pelt so they both looked presentable to the deputy “let me guess, he thought he could swim it and prove that Sootflare should take him on as his apprentice?” She mrrowed in laughter. “He has a lot of spirit, I’ll give him that!”

Duskkit laughed, shaking his pelt. "That's exactly why he did it!" He smiled, glad to have his friend back. "He can be pretty annoying though. At least he got a little taste of reality."

Lionstar quirked his brow questionably at the timid queen. "Is having kits the only reason you want to join our Clan?" To Emberfang, he dismissed him with a flick of his tail. "You're good to go. I'll take it from here."

Koistream was shaken to say the least as he stumbled into the clearing, disregarding his few small catches by the prey pile as his bi-coloured eyes searched the clearing for some form of authority figure. "Lionstar!" He called out, heart still pounding from his 'hunting patrol' in the Sleepy Thicket.

"What's going on?" Lionstar hadn't missed the urgency in his brother's voice, and he was curious to see what had Koistream shaken up so much. ".. are there more kits?" Was Sleepy Thicket producing them?!

Oh Starclan, he wished he had found kittens... but only if they still had their head on. "Something over there is... bone chilling," Koistream dropped the tone of his voice as he grew to a halt before Lionstar, "Headless bird... Uneaten, lying there with its body a few inches away. There was mushrooms too but the whole time I felt like someone was watching us," Koistream gulped.

Grizzlybug let out a deep laugh and purred at Sootflare, “you know me! Can’t get enough of the little fluffs. Though I think they’re all trying to collect me! Soon I’ll have little cats pulling me apart out of jealousy- it seems I’m a kid magnet. Must be the fluff!” Grizz shrugged as though he really believed it and continued, “this is Ringpaw! We bumped into each other today in sleepy thicket and she let me know she’s already one of us. Must’ve gone missing. I’ll leave it to her to tell her story though.” It wasn’t like Grizzlybug could tell a story he hadn’t been told himself. He wanted to properly greet Sootflare, though, since he liked to consider every cat his friend and he and Sootflare had been seeing an awful lot of each other lately what with the soil growing kids that needed to be taken to camp. So, Grizzlybug offered a friendly smile and a cheeky wink and purred, “by the way, how’s my favorite Riverclan deputy today?”

Dawnkit smiled “well you should go to the swimming! I’ll be waiting for you in the nursery with a fish to share and one day you can teach me how to swim too!” She smiled sweetly, gently licking her friend’s forehead “good luck!” @wolfnight

“I’m-m not sure... what else can I do? Shade sat with her tail on her paws. “I’ve helped a lot of she-cats with their kits before... would that be any help??” she asks.

Duskkit smiled at his friend. "I'll be sure to tell you all about it!" He purred, giving Dawnkit a nuzzle, then shook his short pelt. He raced after the other cats leaving the camp, ready to go swimming.

"Was it the spirit?" Lionstar was mildly amused by the thought. "Good old Headless-star, running across the thicket and decapitating any animal that comes across his path!" He flicked his tail to lightly bap Koistream with it. "Relax, I'm sure it was nothing more than the legend spooking you. The bird.. was probably killed by something planning on eating it, and it was startled by something and ran off. I wouldn't stress too much about it."

"Of course it would be." Lionstar was thoughtful, eyeing up the swollen female. "But I was asking you.. if your pregnancy was the only reason you wanted to join the Clan. I understand the need to be safe, but.. I also expect loyalty to the Clan. Can you give me that?"

He scoffed at Lionstars words, shaking his head. "Say what you like but you'll be regretting dismissing this when it's a cat whose headless covered in mushrooms!" Koistream huffed out his words. Headless-star? Who the hell is that? The young tom shook his head, stalking away.
