the young molly shook her head "I-I C-Can't..."

Pinestorm chuckled. "Of course you can talk- you did just now. Any cat can talk... well unless they're deaf or something, but even then they can normally say at least something." His eyes scrunched as he thought more in depth, something he typically didn't do. The tom was beginning to be less flirty, and more just friendly in the conversation. He didn't realize this yet as he turned his attention back on Wrenfeather.

"So over there are kits and a cat," she meowed, pointing at them. "But that cat is the kits' mother." She finished, moving on to explaining what a mother is. She turned her gaze back on Littlekit, watching to see if she could understand what the warrior was trying to tell her.

Littlekit took a good, long look at the cat Tuftbreeze had motioned towards. She looked at all the little wriggling kits sleeping near her tummy, the queen's tail wrapped around her ward protectively out of habit. The queen sent a kind, encouraging smile Littlekit's way.
She replayed Tuftbreeze's words in her mind - or, at least the words she could understand.
'Cat is the kit mother, cat is the kit mother...' So, what Littlekit was gathering was that, a mother must be a small cat's - a kit's - caretaker, or something like that. But these cat's had all taken care of Littlekit at some point, so were they all her mother? Tuftbreeze was taking care of her, so was Tuftbreeze her mother as well?
"Erm..." Littlekit mentally gathered her words for a moment. "All cat's are Littlekit's mother?" She asked tentatively, shifting her wandering gaze back to Tuftbreeze.
