Evan stared down at Tanya, ears perking up with curiosity as he stared at her. "Oh," he muttered. "I'm - Um, I'm, I'm Evan. Th- That's Jeremy," He nodded toward Jeremy, who had his gaze fixed firmly on the ground as they padded along, not even looking up when he was introduced. It probably seemed a bit rude, but he really wasn't paying much attention to anything at the moment, zoning out as he often did.

"How you feeling?" Connor asked after a moment when Kion opened his eyes again, seeming alot calmer. Wary amber eyes fixed on the tiger, and it was silent for a long time before Connor decided to speak up again. "You're welcome, by the way, Goldie."

There was a hint of a smile, barely noticeable, as Kion's ears twitched faintly at the nickname. "Thanks." But there was no sarcasm, real, genuine gratitude in his tone as he pushed himself to stand up, shaking out his fur. "And do not call me that."

"I think I've earned the right to call you whatever I want," Connor decided, cocking his head to the side and raising an eyebrow. "Who knows, that panic attack could've made you pass out. Then some vultures could've come along and picked you apart. Hell, maybe I just saved your life, Goldie." His expression was unusually serene as he spoke, and his tone gave no indication that he was even remotely teasing. The only sign that he was joking was the faint, subtle twitching of his whiskers.

Kion snorted slightly, watching him carefully. "Oh, sure. My savior. My knight in shining stripes. My hero. I am forever in your debt. However shall I repay you?" He replied mockingly, ignoring the sigh from Kivuli, who was still offering no input so far.

Connor's expression was practically stone at this point, though the quivering of his whiskers gave away his amusement. It was rare for him to find anything funny lately, but this cub sure was testing that. He was... Different from the others in his group. "Not sure if you can. How do you repay someone who just saved your life?"

"Maybe I should save your life now." Kion replied, tilting his head. "Then we'd be even, hm?"

"Right. So I'll just go off and have a near-death experience and allow you to swoop in and save the day."

"Good plan, I'm right behind you."

Connor's mask finally broke, a small smirk tugging at his lips. "I'm Connor." He said after a moment, reaching a paw out. "So what's your name, Goldie?"

"Nice to meet you, Connor." Kion even surprised himself by the fact that he didn't flinch, reaching out without any hesitation to take the tiger's paw. "The name's Kion."

"Nice to meet you both!" Tanya chirped cheerfully, padding alongside them with a bit of a spring in her step. "What do you guys like to do? I like chasing butterflies, cause they're so slow but it's really hard to catch em! Pretending to hunt with my big sister Kiara is fun too, but I don't like her friend Zuri cause she's kinda stuck up." Tanya babbled, obviously not liking the awkward silence that had settled over the group.

Evan stared at her through unreadable blue eyes as she spoke, seeming to relax more and more as the cub went on. "O- Oh. I - I like chasing butterflies, too. Um, but I let them go, so they don't, uh, die." He stared at the little cub for a moment. "S- So you have a sister, huh?" He asked with a slightly nervous smile. He was never that social, but he was already beginning to warm up to the cub.

Jeremy snapped out of his trance long enough to mumble a greeting, walking silently and glancing at Evan from time to time to ensure that he was doing okay.

"Yep! I have two big brothers- Kion and Kopa- and two big sisters- Kila and Kiara." Tanya skipped along happily. "What about you? Do you have any sisters or brothers?" She asked, focusing her intense amber gaze on Evan with interest.

Evan smiled slightly as Tanya spoke. "Th- That sounds nice..." He murmured, though he would admit that having that many siblings sounded overwhelming. Perhaps it was fun for the young cub, though. At her question, his ears perked. "W- Well, um, no... Not really? Um, I'm in this group with my friends and, uh, they're... Not really like my siblings, though, um..." His gaze flickered to Jeremy. "Me and Jeremy are closer, I guess that we're, uh, kind of like brothers? We grew up together, but we're not really... Uh, related... But..."

Jeremy silently flicked his tail at Evan's shoulder, a small smile appearing on his face.

"Wow, you have lots of friends?" Tanya gasped, her eyes lighting up. "I don't have any. Unless siblings can be your friends." She added as an afterthought, before looking back at Evan. "Can we be friends?" She asked, the much younger cub looking rather eager.

"I think siblings can be your friends," Evan said quietly, taking in a shaky breath and perking his ears. He blinked when Tanya asked if they could be friends. "Oh - S- Sure, of course!" He replied quickly, a soft purr rising in his chest.

“Awesome!” Tanya cheered, her fur fluffing up ever so slightly with excitement. She bounced alongside Nala and Jeremy with a thoughtful expression in her large amber eyes, silent for once. “So what do friends do?” She asked, blinking up at Evan. “Kion and Bunga play Baobab Ball a lot, and Kiara spends her time gossiping and walking around with her friends.” Tanya reflected.
