Why exactly that was, he didn't know - but every day was special, at least to Hawkflight. I might get to see part of Riverclan's territory today! I've never been there, I'm so excited. Or Shadowclan, I heard the cats there are pretty ferocious. I wonder what their territory looks like.
He glanced towards the fresh-kill pile, but decided that he wasn't too hungry. He usually didn't eat before going out, instead waiting to feast after he returned to camp. Fresh-kill tasted so much better when he was really hungry and he had just done a full day of work and exploring. Instead, he decided to spend the early morning giving himself a quick wash while ideas for the day whirled inside his head.

Whorltwist walked out from the warriors den, and he kept breathing in, trying to navigate like his mentor taught him. But the scent of fresh kill hit his nose. Distracted, he wandered off and bumped into a nearby warrior. Hawkflight. "Whoops, sorry mate. You al'ight?" he asked, an Australian accent coming out strong from his voice. His misty, scarred eyes looked in the warrior's direction. His tail flicked behind him, purrs flowing from his maw as he hoped this wasn't a grumpy warrior. He knew how touchy warriors like that could be. He then cleared his throat and smiled. "Good mornin', by the way." he said with a friendly chuckle.

Hawkflight stumbled forward as a cat bumped into him from behind. He whipped his head back, not angry, but curious to see who had accidently assaulted him. It was Whorltwist, the blind warrior. He hadn't ever really talked to the cat before, but he had heard that, despite his disability, he was striving to become as useful as any warrior. Hawkflight respected that and was even impressed that such a cat could have such a spirit.
Hawkflight smiled back, before realizing that he couldn't see him, so he twitched his tail in greeting and realized that he couldn't see that either. Mentally shaking himself, he resigned to simply speaking back. "Hello! I'm alright thanks, just a little stumble. And good morning to you as well! The air is fresh and the sky is bright...a perfect morning, wouldn't you say?"
And then he realized, again, that Whorltwist couldn't see the bright sky. His whiskers twitched in annoyance at himself. Idiot, be more respectful.

Re: ThunderClan Leader's Den
The bright new-leaf sun shone down upon ThunderClan’s camp, warming up the atmosphere. Stormstrike was sitting down by himself in a rather quiet corner of the camp clearing. Although he was a very friendly cat, he wasn’t the most social. He was one of those cats that preferred to stick with the ones they already knew. He was willing to talk to other cats, but wasn’t the type to walk up to someone and start up a conversation. He let others come to him if they required a conversation of some sort.
The warrior let out a soft sigh as he tucked his paws beneath him, closing his eyes as he let the sun warm up his thin pelt. This was the life. Relaxing, enjoying what nature had to offer. It wasn’t very often that the tom could find a time like this to just let go and relax. He was either talking to his friends, on a patrol or doing something else that required lots of energy. It was a rare occasion that he managed to relax like this, but he always made the best of his time. The camp was currently quieter than usual, as most cats were out on patrol or hunting. Still, Stormstrike blocked out whatever noise he could and only let the sound of birds chirping in the distance break his peace.
The tom continued to relax like this for a few minutes before he decided he needed to do something else. As much as he loved to have time like this, he wanted to socialise, strangely enough. With that, he slowly rose to his paws, grunting as he did so. Once he was up, he looked around for some cat to that could do with a nice chat. He couldn’t spot anyone, but the image of a particular she-cat clicked in his mind. Snowstar. Stormstrike was quite sure he’d seen her walking into the Leader’s den earlier. Perhaps he should check there? Yes, he would. The tom shook out his paws before walking in the direction of the den.
“Snowstar?” He asked softly, peeking his head through the entrance of the den. His voice was quieter than usual, and almost cautious, as if he were scared something would lash out at him. Well, that was somewhat accurate. Ever since news of her expectant kits, Snowstar had been snappier than usual. Stormstrike was playing his part by growing up and taking in whatever she had to throw at him kindly, but even so if managed to tear him slightly. He was, after all, a tad bit sensitive. While the siamese was snappy, Stormstrike was overjoyed, and he was pretty sure that she was too, even if his mate didn’t show it.
Pushing his thoughts to the back of his mind, he entered the den, pale blues eyes searching for the figure of the young leader.

Snowstar stirred in her nest when she heard her name being called softly, the familiar voice reaching her ears. The Siamese cracked her ice blue eyes open and moved her head up a bit to look at her mate, and relief immediately flooded her gaze. Even if she was snappy all the time, even toward Stormstrike, she attempted to curb her temper around him, knowing how sensitive he could be. Besides, she wasnt feeling particularly snappy at the moment, although she knew that could change in a matter of seconds, too. The young leader pushed herself up to sit up, fixing her mate with soft blue eyes. All she had to do was stay calm for Stormstrike right now.
"Hey, Stormy." Her voice was slightly hoarse, as she'd been sleeping. The young she-cat shifted in her nest, allowing her jaws to gape in a small yawn before shaking her head, blinking back the sleepiness in her eyes.

He chuckled at his words of a nice morning. "Well, by your words, mate, I would believe so it is a fine morning." he said, tail flicking kindly with his purr. He felt a slight wave of self-annoyance from Hawkflight, and he wanted to lighten the mood. "So, you're, uh, Hawkflight, right? Your voice sounds vaguely familiar." he said, giving a short of funny hint in his voice. "Say, I was about to go for some hunting today, care to join me?" he asked, his face friendly and his voice kind. For such a young cat like him, he had quite the voice. It was stern, had a hint of deepness to it, and his accent didn't help.
With a flick of his tail he sniffed his way to the freshkill and grabbed a plump mouse. He then ate half and nuzzled the other half towards Hawkflight. "Want some?" he asked. He was the one to have a snack-sized portion of food before he went anywhere, so he was filled enough to last him until after his morning hunt or stroll.

Naomi slid out of the nursery into the clearing, glancing behind her to see a sleepy pinekit trying to follow her out." I'll be back soon, get back to your nest little one" She murmured nudging the she-kit back into the nursery before heading across the clearing over to Burning Forest. I know I said I'd hunt with him but Pinekit wants me to stay, I just have to hope we don't spend too much time hunting

"Is Pinekit going to be OK while we are gone?" Burning forest asked, watching Pinekit."We cam stay in camp today if you want."
It shouldn't take near as long as yesterday. If we try to actually catch something and not play around. But what if Pinekit tries to get out?

"I honestly don't know, She should be fine if we don't take too long" Naomi sighed, glancing back over at the Nursery " She doesn't get like this that often and when she does I never know why and It kinda worries me." Why does she get like this...and why today?
