Frogbelly sniffed at Ivorypaw's wound tentatively, then crouched low as he could for Lilywing, bracing himself and pushing up when the apprentice was securely resting on his shoulders. He gave the other warrior a bod, motioned for her to keep Ivorypaw steady, then turned toward camp.
By the time they had arrived, the grey-blue warrior was panting heavily, but at least they had made it there fast. "Petalstar!" He hollered to his clan-leader, "Ivorypaw was hurt." He started for the medicine den.

Lilywing trotted alongside Frogbelly worriedly. Ivorypaw was barely awake as they entered the den. Lilywing helped her apprentice off of Frogbelly's shoulders and into on of the nests. We shouldn't have had him distract the fox, the she-cat thought. They should probably have another patrol check to make sure the fox was off their territory. "I apologize, Petalstar, it's my fault he got hurt," Lilywing mewed, tail flicking. "We spotted a fox on our patrol, and I told Ivorypaw to distract it while Frogbelly and I snuck up behind it..."

"We managed to get it good, and chase it away, though," Frogbelly added, just as the medicine cat came over, carrying a bundle of herbs in his jaws. Frogbelly stood back and watched him work. He wasn't particularly worried that the apprentice wouldn't make it; there was a lot of blood, but Ivorypaw was strong.
