Re: Cattail Pond

Despite not being able to swim, Springleap found herself at Cattail Pond. Her tortoiseshell coat shimmered in the early morning sunshine, she had successfully wobbled and hobbled without falling into the body of water. Sure, kits were taught how to swim here, but since she was missing a front leg the warrior found it difficult to swim. She'd been practicing to propel with her tail when swimming, sadly Springleap seemed to not be able to grasp it.

Taking a seat near the pond, she glanced around. Spotting a familiar pelt in the distance, she flicked her tail at the cat. "Hi Duckbounce!" Springleap chirped happily in hopes that the other felien would come and join her near the pond.

"Uh.. Hi? Am I d-disturbing you?" she asked awkwardly.

"Eh? Oh! Hello there... Lotusheart right?" he greeted the large she-cat as he slowly sat up and stretched. "You aren't disturbing me at all. You can join me here if you want. Honestly, I was hoping to get some company sooner or later. It was kind of getting a tad too lonely for me." continued Creekflow as he offered her an easy grin. He sat up straighter and patted the place next to him with a paw.

"You come here often? It's a nice place to relax and catch some fish, or just watch them swim around like I was doing. Helps clear my head and stuff. I think too much and, well, this is one of the ways I can slow my mind down enough to take a breather, ya know?" he said as he looked down at the scaly creatures darting around in the water while awaiting her response.

Lotusheart smiled at the pond. She quite enjoyed fishing and swimming, despite her long fur. She was awkwardly big on land, but she could easily float in the pond, like a lotus.
"Yeah, this place is nice. I often fish here. It's not as exciting as the river but it has good fish. Its also great for me to train my apprentice, or to get away from everyone." she mewed quietly. She was quite awkward around new cays and often needed alone time. She stared at the water, catching glimpses of mouth-watering, yummy fish.

(Sorry for late reply)

Silentpaw trekked the path that lead him to his usual place of the Cattail Pond to see if he wanted to fish or do something with alone time. He looked around quickly before thinking the coast was clear before peering at the edge of the bank to watch the fish swim past him. His green eyes was fixed onto watching the fish do things which was pretty fun for him that he didn't notice Beanpaw nearby.

The siamese dipped one fluffy paw into the water, feeling the temperature. Hmm, not too bad. He was about to stick his other paw in when! Out of nowhere, another cat walked by! It had been so quiet, and he had been so focused in feeling the water, that the cat had scared him! And he jumped! ...right into the pond. Of course, the unexpected presence of water on his baws made them buckle. Then, he was falling head over paws into the water with a startled noise and a SPLOOSH!

the molly had just been aimlessly wandering about. she often came to the pond to recollect some nostalgia from apprenticeship. she always thought about her apprenticeship times, still. her mentor had been so nice and patient for putting up with her—she was the reason she was who she is today. duckbounce had just come to the edge of the water to glance down at her reflection when she heard her name be called.

she quickly cocked her head towards the voice. springleap! the molly immediately got up and trotted over to the other she-cat. she greeted her with the bubbly smile of hers and started: "hello, how are you? what brings you here?" while she waited for springleap to respond to her questions, she brought up her paw to lick clean of some dirt that had been stuck on her beans. (I'm late to reply as well ahaha, no worries!)

Silentpaw stumbled at the sound of his clanmate crashing into the water. He felt stupid for assuming that the scent of Riverclan was just from some cat who was there earlier. It was a shame that he secretly called himself more of a hunter than a fighter when he jumped too fast to conclusions for scenting prey and other things. Uh oh, were they okay? The tabby gulped hoping that they weren't drowning in the pond before checking on them.

"Yy-you oo-okay?" he mewed hoping to see them alive. What would he have to say if he had to drag back someone's body because he didn't realize that they were there or something.

Halfpaw followed Silverpool and Almondpaw. She wasn't sure who else was here, deciding to follow with and get swimming lessons. She missed out on getting them as a kit.
Not really hearing the instructions as they approached, she waded in, a dark little paw coming up to splash the water surface, imitating catching a fish.
This felt nice.
She let the water lap at her fur, feeling it drag and pull at her fur and making it heavy with water.
As nice as this was, she was here to learn, so she turned back to the others.
"What now?"

Oh, another apprentice. Cool! Maybe this would help her chances of getting an apprentice of her own. With renewed energy, she continued on, "Good, guys. Keep running in the water, and focus on pulling the water back with your paws." She backed up a little. "See if you can make it to me."
