For once in his relatively short life Houndkit was not covered in mud. Not a speck! Instead, he was covered in snow from head to paws. Admittedly, this was not his preference. Nonono, the snow was cold and melted against his fur and made him colder and it just didn't give the same sort of compression. Unfortunately, it was hiding all the mud away so he made due. Groggily, Houndkit popped up from the snow at the mention of his Mama. He was used to being called parasites but was pretty sure the golden bengal was talking to .. him? He squinted his golden eyes, immediate distrust bubbling up. His left paw twitched, tensing up for a few seconds before relaxing. He liked the idea of lessons... but he didn't know this buster! What if he was a WEIRDO?

Well, Grottokit had already showed up. Maybe he knew somethin' Hound didn't. Maybe. Probably not, but.. on the off chance this stranger could actually teach them something worth while he didn't want his brother getting all the secrets!!!

Hesitantly, Houndkit arose from his snow pile and skittered over to Bleedingpaw and Grottokit. Of course, with a combination of miscalculating where he was placing his overly large paws and running a little bit too fast towards them he skidded and face-planted back into the snow. A defeated squeak escaped him before he sat straight up, red nose twitching at the coldness. Blurgh.

Houndkit stared aggressively at Bleedingpaw, keeping silent while he shuffled behind Grottokit. "Who .. who dat..?" He inquired in a hushed tone of voice, ears slightly pulled back. He hadn't really been bothering to try and learn the names of the wildcats. Mama and his siblings mattered. That's it.
