Swallowkit gave mewl of sleepy protest, leaning into her mother's fur and away from her sibling's antics. She kicked back half-heartedly with a hind leg, then turned away and curled up, not ready yet to wake up.

Dawnkit pounced on Swallowkit, knocking him over despite her small size. Nibbling on his ear, she squealed. Get up Swallowkit! We could play clans! I’ll let you be leader! She leaped back off, tho continued to smack him until he got up.

Honeystep walked into the nursery with a fresh bundle of moss. There was a sweet scent of honey that always clung to this shecat but she would never tell her secrets on how she did it. The first bed she went up to had a little kit in it. Mousekit. "Hello there darling." She said softly and sweetly like a butterfly fluttering on the wind.

Mousekit sleepily blinked one eye open, waking up to the strange smell of... honey? In winter? He glanced up to the sight of a young orange and black she-cat, looking back at him with a kind smile. Honeystep. That was her name. "Mnghm... is that... moss?" He meowed, rising to his paws with a slight wobble to the side. He was still kind of asleep. "Thas' good. My bed hasn't been... fluffy enough lately...", he yawned, looking at the bundle of moss she was holding expectantly. Or did she bring it in for some other reason?

Swallowkit rolled over and kicked at Dawnkit. "You never let me sleeep," she griped. [B]"I would want to play clans if I wasn't already playing sleep." Even as she said this, she got to her feet and shook out her kit-soft fur.

"Well, if I'm the leader that means you have to do what I tell you," Swallowkit pointed out. "So I'm PUTTING YOU IN EXILE!" She said the last part in a very important way, her head held high and her tiny chest puffed out to look Big and Important. That's what she gets for not letting her leader sleep!

Oh dear. It looked like she had accidentally woken up one of the kittens but they didn't seem to have been put in a sour mood. Honeystep was thankful for this, yet if it was the other case she would have tried her best to cheer the kitten back up again.

The warrior dropped the bundle of moss so she could speak. "I'll be replacing the moss entirely. Looks like its been worn out, almost as flat as the ground and we can't have that." Honeystep said softly to Mousekit as she carefully changed the kitten's bedding. She took a few crow feathers out of her pelt and placed them right in the bed. To play with or to admire, whatever Mousekit decided was good. "Have you been sleeping all day sweety?"

"What? No. I was sleeping the, um, normal amount," Mousekit mewed shiftily while looking a little embarrassed. It was probably for the best Honeystep had woken him up, Mousekit couldn't be caught napping all day! He needed to be a responsible member of Shadowclan society! "Do you need help replacing the bedding? If it's just you, it'll take a long time." Well, he didn't know Honeystep that well. Maybe she was actually very skilled at quickly making beds... he shouldn't assume.

Mousekit then noticed the crow feathers she had placed in his nest, glinting softly in the sunlight. "Oh. Are those... for me?" It looked like she had a few more in her fur. He'd seen a few cats accessorizing like that before, but he wasn't quite sure what to do with these... should he wear them too? They were nice to look at, but on his black pelt they might just be invisible.
