Swallowkit stayed where she was for a moment, her eyes on the ground. Eventually she padded around so she was at Cinderhive's side opposite from Dawnkit. Curling up so her face was hidden, she sighed heavily. She tried to nap, and when that didn't work, she did her best to pretend to be napping. It was very hard.

Marigoldkit lay comfortably in her (perhaps a bit too small for her size) moss bed. Her paws kneaded gratefully at the soft surface, her sides rising up and down like calm waves.

It was probably the best sleep she'd ever ever had. She already felt moons strong than she had felt before.

As much as she didn't want to, she wrenched her heavy eyes open and looked at the nursery around her. She glanced hopefully at her paws. She was delighted to see that some pearl white fur had managed to manifest.

Optimistic from her previous victory, she craned her neck to look at her backside as well. Maybe, just maybe she'd start looking like herself again just as much as feeling like herself.

Fortunately for her, it seemed that her pelt had clawed it's way back to her skin. Excitement sprang through Marigoldkit, her lips curling into a giddy smile.

Finally, things were getting back to normal.

Hopefully she'd meet Mousekit again, she quite liked the kit. Sure, he was a good size smaller than her and a bit bad at conversation, but he was sweet. To be honest, she was just as bad.

Her stomach growled desperately and clawed at her insides.

Oh right. She was hungry. Of course she was hungry.

But she already knew she couldn't survive two heartbeats outside of the warm milk scented den. She'd freeze!

Marigoldkit snorted in frustration. Okay... Time to think.

A soft smile came to Honeystep's face when Mousekit got embarrassed having been 'caught' sleeping in. It didn't matter if a kit slept in even if they were a little older. They were still a kit and they needed all the rest they could get. Oh, she wish she slept more when she was younger. Nowadays things were so tiring! "If you'd like to help me with changing the beds I will not say no. Its something you will be doing when you become an apprentice, this will be a good time to learn how to do it properly." She spoke softly and sweetly as she prepared more moss for a bed.

Honeystep nodded her head when she was asked about the gift. "You look lovely with the crow feather. It catches the light nicely and shines some blues and greens. Subtle but beautiful." Honeystep said before she adjusted the feather to be just right in Mousekit's fur. She looked like a nice and proper young kit. Then a little worry dance across Honeystep's mind when she thought about if the other kit would get jealous of Mousekit. An eye on this would be a good idea.
