"There's always so much drama, over the same thing, moon after moon," the she-cat gives a distasteful click of the tongue. At Eldershade's question though, Plumstorm hesitates. It would be better to continue this nonchalant, airy attitude.

She chuckles, shrugging. "We lend a paw a few times and they think we're there for them whenever, for whatever. Well, we just reminded them that our generosity was never free. We took a bit of their territory and gave 'em a stern reminder with our claws, rather than anything gentler with our words."

High Rank Announcement [#hrannouncement]

~WOLFFANG ~

RiverClan scent rolled over him and his nose twitched. Honestly, fish smelled disgusting. It was hard to imagine them having to live like that. Swimming in water, getting their fur wet, always eating fish... the thought would've made him nearly gag. But now he couldn't. His mind was still dark with rage for what he had witnessed and his mind swirled with thoughts and worry about his mauled sister. Twilightstar seemed stressed enough, and even though Wolffang deeply respected her and thought that her guidance was helpful, she also wasn't perfect. She was too easily pushed around. So they needed a strong deputy who could help them.

He thought back to himself as a younger warrior. How arrogant and self-absorbed he'd been, dedicated to his Clan but also snarky and wanting to have some... what was it? Fun? That didn't seem right. His open scorn, how he either took things too seriously or not seriously at all. It was weird to think of his old self, but he couldn't stop himself. How would his old self have acted as deputy? But I had been my old self until Twilightstar made the announcement. If only things could go back to how they once were, where he could be true to himself and focus all his attention on hatred for ShadowClan.

But now he knew the weight of responsibility, what it was like to at least form some bonds with other cats, and he was still struggling with his own morals. But at this Gathering, with his enemies around him, this was no time to dwell on that. Wolffang shoved it all aside and instead focused on what was going on around him. RiverClan was here. Where was Splashleap? She wasn't too bad, he had to admit. It was hard for him to make friends in other Clans, but at least she showed some respect. And wasn't a complete featherbrain.

As if answering his unspoken question, he saw the brown-and-white she-cat approaching. She seemed to treat him with respect, and by the way she glanced at him, Wolffang had a feeling that he might at least look powerful, or intimidating, whatever to her. Splashleap was good at keeping a calm face. Wolffang used to flaunt his good looks, but he didn't as much. Instead, he was proud of them for making him look fierce and giving him an edge in battle. Unlike most WindClan cats, who were small and skinny, Wolffang was large and well-muscled. Sure, he was lean around the stomach, but otherwise he was broad and sturdy.

He dipped his head in return at the simple greeting. "Hello, Splashleap. The prey's running just fine." One large, notched ear twitched as he vaguely remembered that joke she had made in the past. "How are the fish in RiverClan?" Wolffang refrained from making some comments about how disgusting fish were and that RiverClan must be mad to actually swim to catch their prey. He still hated the thought of water closing over his head.

Suddenly, a foul smell encased him, even worse than the fish of RiverClan. Wolffang recognized it instantly, and despite the peace he knew must be kept at the Gathering, his thick gray fur began to bristle. ShadowClan. The five maimed bodies flashed in his mind and he knew that once again there would be tension and hostility, especially between him and Finchwhisker. ThunderClan was the last thing on his mind as he glared at Dawnstar, his tail-tip twitching furiously and a haze of vengeance in his mind.

I can't do anything now. Not at this Gathering. Even I know when to keep the peace, he thought. However, if Dawnstar tries to ward off any accusations... settle the other Clans... I'm not going to hesitate to step up and tell them exactly what she did. As much as Wolffang respected Twilightstar, she had a tendency to bend down at times to cats from other Clans and not fully take charge. At least, that's what it looked like to him.

But where was Finchwhisker? The brown-and-white tabby wasn't anywhere to be seen. A flash of hope rose within Wolffang. Was he dead? Had the patrol killed him? That would be lucky for him. He could only hope that Dawnstar wouldn't choose someone worse, although that was likely.

"Looks like Finchwhisker isn't here," he commented, his voice still lowered and underlaid with rage. "It'll just be us until ThunderClan comes. If they even have a deputy." They hadn't had one before, but surely they should now. It had been plenty of time.

What sort of clan loyalty could they hold anyway toward their pathetic clans?

He looked to Dawnstar, sensing for any hints as to her desires for this gathering. He craved a war. Would she allow one to start tonight? If a filthy bunny made a wrong move he wouldn't hold back. He kept his eyes tracking from side to side, waiting for a cat to make a move.

Goldenstep padded through the crowds of cats. Her eyes fell on Elmshadow looking on edge. She picked up her pace and padded up beside him. She let her fur brush against his and nudged his cheek. "If something were to happen, you'd be the first to know," she purred. "Why don't you relax a bit?"

She found a spot among the Shadowclan cats and sat with Elmshadow, twisting her bushy tail around him and over his stubbed tail.

Fiercefire padded up, a little late, to the gathering. He hoped no one had noticed. He had missed Dawnstars call and had tried to catch up with the group (open)

The voice mewed inside his mind, bugging him as usual.
Im not, I just don't trust them to keep the peace...
he responded, not out loud ofc, he wasn't about to revil his deepest

[Open to anyone but her might be a little cold towards WC cats ^^]

-Creekdash - WC -

Creekdash was getting bored with this gathering, tensions were a bit high that was for sure with ShadowClan but he was bored. Sighing, he gazed around the grounds spotting another tom. He seemed older but whatever.
Padding over Creekdash was a clear WindClan cat. His sleek body was perfect for running the moors. He hadn't been paying much attention to scents, he had kept to himself the last few gathers so Creekdash was mostly thinking about what to say. "Hey there, I'm Creekdash, mind if I sit?" The tom's voice was welcoming at the moment but it might not be that way soon...

Eldershade laughed low in her throat. "Stern reminder," she meowed, almost admiringly. "I'll be sure to remember the kind of treatment to expect if we end up in RiverClan's debt. Or you in ShadowClan's."

She stretched, flicking her stub of a tail. "Are you upset that we're falling into our Clan stereotypes?" she meowed, referring to Plumstorm's earlier comment. "It sounds like our Clans are more alike than different... although I'm a little surprised." She grinned, casually insulting. "I didn't think your leader had the guts for that."

@Wings
Yes, I do! I very mush mind it! Shadestorm grunted,
it was neither a welcome nor a denial. He didn't like the
idea the Windclanner sitting beside him but it was a gathering
and he wasn't gonna give Dawnstar any change to punish him,
every thing he did mattered.
"How are things in Windclan?" he mewed. He didn't
give two mouse-tails about how the cat was but he was trying
to be at least some what polite.

(OK maybe one rp because I already miss this place)

Elderflare wandered along with the rest of Windclan. He had no real reason to come to the gathering, but wanted to support his leader against Shadowclan. The recent reveal of the four dead left him slightly steamed that Shadowclan got off scot free, but what can you do when you are not built for that fighting. If Elder was rude, he would say it openly, but since he wasn't he kept it to himself that Windclan was almost too merciful. Shadowclan was unafraid of Consequences, mainly because they and all the rest knew, the only one that could give them their chops and listen to them would be Windclan, and Starclan knows, they are not strong enough to do so. He was lost in his own thought after a while.

(Open for a cat to break him out of his stupor!)

(YESS!! So much longer than usual!)

Was it true? Mistypaw couldn't be sure, because rumors spread around camp so fastly, and not all of them were true. She wasn't sure how she was supposed to respond to Daisypaw. For a moment, her amber and copper eyes looked at the ShadowClan apprentices eyes. They were... beautiful, mixed of so many colours.

Forcing herself to look away from the wide variety of colours, Mistypaw's eyes landed on Daisypaw's cream stripes as she made up something to say. "Do... You like gatherings?," she asked akwardly. Ugh, this was so embarassing!

@Beetlenose

Daisypaw shrugged, ”there okay… I guess I just don’t believe in truces.”
