Drizzlecloud was out to do check-ups again. At this point it felt like she only ever left her den when she had to send out patrols or when she wanted to check-in on her clanmates, just in case some of them never came to see her with their ailments. Initially she had been heading to the nursery, and then she would be going to the elders den–she paused just outside of the warriors den when she smelled… Oh, yikes, was that the smell of infection?

For the moment, her goal had changed, and instead of trotting her way across camp, she ducked into the mouth of the warriors den. The first thing she saw was the familiar pelt of Sharpclaw–and upon further inspection, she noted the nasty shoulder wound that he sported.

“Sharpclaw,” Usually, she would have begun scolding the tom right off the bat–like she did with Foxstep when he had been in rough shape and hadn’t lugged himself to her den. This was different, though. Sharpclaw was a grown warrior, sure, but she couldn’t help but be gentle with him.

“No amount of sleep is going to treat your wounds, you know.” Her words were accompanied by a flick on his head with her tail-tip–a semi playfull action as well as an attention grabber just in case he was in a deep sleep.
