Fleckpaw ran straight for the patrol towards the two cats, she was excited for this was her first ever patrol ever since she became an apprentice.
"OOOh so excited!", she said bouncing up an down, she made a mental image of what the herb is supposed to look like.
"Lets go! Lets go!"

The tom turned to look at a warrior approaching him, if he remembered correctly that was one of the ones he'd sent on a patrol. Ears twitching as they spoke, the stutter making it a little hard to figure out what she was saying at first. A mouse and a crow, so far so decent. Although the one getting lost in the burrows was a raise of concern.

"Perfect, thank you. Make sure you drop off your kill on the pile." he said, his tail flicking as a sign they could leave.

tinypine bounded over beside violetfreckle, little limbs skipping over a few strands of her own fur on the way over. she didn't like the way she was built! she was pretty sure some apprentices were taller than her.. she was short, that was certain. ``hey violet! how'ya doin'?`` she greeted happily, sitting and waiting for cougarshade beside violetfreckle. tucking her head, she groomed the fur on her chest, and the fur on her paws to keep her from slipping on her own pelt.

yawning, she tapped her tail among the peat beneath, claws flexing and kneading steadily. waiting wasn't her strong suit, but the patrol was slightly unexpected; so tinypine could wait a few. how ironic, she thought, tiny. her name.. tiny; her being the runt of her mother's litter. how cruel underlying things could mean; her mother only based her name off of her- ...size. she knew she wasn't gonna be able to catch much, but she hoped she wasn't gonna be a complete, deadbeat burden.

Well, by the looks of it, Batheart didn’t show up. With a sigh, she turned her head to look at Cherrypaw, offering her a smile. “Looks like it’s just you and me, hm? Perhaps Batheart will catch up with us later–well, I sure hope so, at the very least.”

She stood up, padding up to Cherrypaw’s side to which she brushed her fur up against the apprentice’s own. “It’ll be okay, I promise… Think of it as just a nice walk, like the very first walk we went on together, okay?”

Ah, perfect! Violetfreckle's eyes shone, pleased that the duo had both had good luck. She had noted the smaller cat struggling on their walk before -- Violetfreckle's rushed pace certainly hadn't helped, she thought to herself guiltily -- so she slowed down on the walk back, yawning around her prey a few times to feign weariness. Violetfreckle knew if she were in Tinypine's position, she wouldn't want pity and wouldn't ask for others to slow down. So she may as well help in her own way, right?

As the pair entered camp, Violetfreckle immediately sought out Spiderthroat and dropped the prey at his paws once he was found. "Tinypine and I went to Haggard Ruins. Cougarshade never bothered showing up. We brought back a squirrel and a pheasant," she gestured to her own prey, "And a dove and magpie." A small tail flick toward Tinypine's impressive haul. "Nothing of note to report."

The tom turned, oh good, another patrol had reported in...a little later than he would have liked but they reported none the less. Eyes narrowing as Cougarshade was mentioned. "Noted. Thank you, make sure to drop off your catches on the prey pile." he hummed. Looking around the Clearing for the mentioned Warrior.

Maybe a personal Patrol would be good for them.

Fernwillow padded back to camp with Redhawk and Daylightpaw at her heels, a cluster of borage in her mouth. She nodded politely to her team, appreciating the work they put into making the patrol a success. She made her way to Drizzlecloud, setting the borage at their paws. "Redhawk, Daylightpaw and I found four borage at the Smallpines. Nothing of note to report." She dipped her head respectfully at the medicine cat.

[Drizzlecloud has called for herb patrols, and if you’ve been mentioned, you’ve been placed on one of them! If you do not wish to be put on a patrol, please vm me and request to be replaced within three days of the patrols being organized. (If you want to be replaced, let me know before December 30th)

These patrols will be due by January 6th at 11:59 PM EST. If you need an extension, please let me know before then, however, you may ask for an extension up to three days after the due date (January 9th). If this is done, you may still be subject to very minor punishment (such as a scolding, as well as Drizzlecloud’s disappointment!).

Lack of communication whatsoever will result in a moderate punishment. Communication after the due date will result in a minor punishment. Communicating that you are not able to finish the patrol on time/asking for an extension will result in no punishments.

When it comes to replies, bumping someone after 48 hours with no response is acceptable, but after 72 hours you may skip their turn.

Patrol leaders, please remember to add your patrols to the patrol menu! If you do not know how, let me know, and I can add it for you.]

The cold, leaf-bare season had already proven to be difficult thus far. Their supplies were still low–considerably low, and it was deeply concerning. It was to be expected from this time of the year, though… Still, they had to try to get more. As much as they could. “Herb patrols!”


Patrol One: Juniper Berries and Sticks
[Mandatory Prompt: Don’t get too close to the border. If anyone does, scold ‘em!]

Juniper berries would be easy to find, even this time around, they were readily available in the dry areas of the forest–as long as you could find them. “Yarrowcrest [ @silver. ]?” Drizzlecloud called to the warrior softly. The tom and Sparrowfur had recently had kits, she hoped that they were still doing okay sleeping in the nursery after what had taken place there. “Could you lead a patrol for me? It’ll be easy, don’t worry. Take Lioncrest [ @Jayvines ] and Featherpaw [ @lesbianism ] with you.”

“I’ll be sending you three out to look for Juniper Berries–and big, sturdy sticks if you can find any! The berries themselves are usually a purplish-blue colour, and the bushes that they grow from have spiky green leaves. They grow in areas that are generally dry, so try to check Herondive Hollow for some. Be sure to keep well away from the border, please.”


Patrol Two: Marigold and Lavender
[Optional Prompt: Treading so close to the water, be careful you don’t fall!]

The last time that she sent a patrol out looking for marigold and lavender, it had kind of fallen apart. Hopefully the turnout would be better this time, though. “Redhawk [ @tallulah ], I’m sending you out again, cause you’re just so reliable.” Drizzlecloud flashed the molly a grin before she continued. “I’ll be sending you out to Cattail Pond this time, and you’ll be taking Drizzlenight [ @Cherry~ ] and Asterpaw [ @FrostyGalaxy ] with you.”

“You should be able to find both marigold and lavender there–although, I’m feeling that lavender might be a little bit difficult to find during these moons. Anyways, marigold is a yellow-orange petalled flower with lots and lots of petals. Lavender is also a flower–it grows in these little purple sprigs, and their scent is rather relaxing if you ask me! You’ll be able to find both of these growing near the water, so be sure to check there.”


Patrol Three: Comfrey and Cobwebs
[Mandatory Prompt: Best friendism on this patrol]

“Mudhound [ @Rani ], my friend, you’re with me! We’re headed out looking for comfrey and cobwebs–if we can find any of those. We’ll just be searching the general territory, as long as that’s alright with you.” Drizzlecloud smiled at the warrior, tail lashing behind her excitedly–which was probably as much excitement that anyone could ever see from the mellowed out molly.

“I’ll be here to guide you of course, but just in case, comfrey has these dangly purple-blue flowers, but we mainly want the big ol’ leaves and the roots that they’ve got.” Surely they’d be able to find something, at the very least, during their outing. She wouldn’t let them come back empty-handed, even if they couldn’t find any comfrey.

Ah, a patrol... It had been some time since he had been sent out on one. Going out into the territory had been a bit... Hard for him, as of late. But Drizzlecloud was counting on him. Seeing as how he was responsible for leading the other two out to the border... Nodding to the medicine cat, he offers a small smile and glances out upon the clearing to wait for his fellow patrol mates to join him. Lioncrest he had seen around but never gotten the chance to speak to. And then Featherpaw... Well, he can't place a name to the face of the apprentice but he was eager to meet them nonetheless.

Hearing his name called for a herb patrol, the large golden warrior padded out of the warrior's den with a purpose; locking eyes onto Yarrowcrest and silently sizing up the other tom as he approached. A young warrior... looked unsure in his role as patrol leader... didn't seem like competition at all. Large paws confidently strode up to the smaller cat and he took a seat next to him (only slightly encroaching on the other's space). Perhaps Drizzlecloud had selected Yarrowcrest to lead as a learning experience, but Lioncrest wasn't entirely convinced that if push came to shove near the Shadowclan border this cat would be of much help.

Oh well, the golden tom was more than capable of handling Dawnstar's cronies if they dared to cross boundaries.

Amber eyes slowly flicked around the camp, looking for the last member of their patrol so they could be on their way and finish their tasks. He needed to hunt after they returned, especially now that he had a large gaggle of mouths to feed in the nursery.

Featherpaw's ears pricked as her name was called, trotting over to see what she was needed for. Her tail twitched in excitement as Drizzlecloud continued. A herb patrol! Her very first patrol - not only as a ThunderClan cat, but ever! She couldn't wait to tell Cloudpaw at the next gathering.

They listened carefully to the medicine cat's description of juniper berries, so focused on memorising that the location took them completely by surprise. The ShadowClan border? Redhawk had mentioned it on her territory tour, but they hadn't actually visited. It would be strange to see it from the ThunderClan side, but other than that, they weren't quite sure how they felt about it. It will be nice to smell the pines again, they thought wistfully.

Once she was sure she had committed the appearance of the berries to memory, Featherpaw looked for her patrol mates. She'd been so focused on her training that she'd barely had time to interact with anyone but her mother and her mentor, so she wasn't quite sure of any of the warrior's names. Only two toms had gathered yet though, and surely a cat called Lion would be golden?

They took a deep breath to calm their nerves before approaching, hoping that their moon training in ThunderClan was more obvious in their scent than their kithood in ShadowClan.

"Hi! I'm Featherpaw," she mewed. She hesitated for a moment. Was it weird that she didn't recognise them...? "Are you Yarrowcrest and Lioncrest?"

Huh. Not exactly the best feeling in the world. He should be used to it but the condescending demeanor the older warrior all but flaunted at him had him casting an unsure glance to Drizzlecloud from across the clearing. Was he really fit to lead a patrol? He had before. A few times, actually. So he was more than capable. No, he was more so concerned with being in a leadership position over someone who very obviously desired it. After his gaze lingers on the herb cat for a moment or two, he stares over at Lioncrest with a faint air of irritation. Normally he didn't care for the opinions of others. It was no secret that he was a pacifist. Especially after what had happened at Cattail Pond. And it was obvious to himself that he was a coward. But for some reason this was rubbing him the wrong way.

And not to mention the guy didn't even care enough to offer any kind of greeting. He blinks slowly at him as he thinks on that fact, forcing his tongue quiet, until Featherpaw arrives. Blue hues fall upon her and he nods in response, once agitated stare softening a bit.

"Yarrowcrest would be me. If you're both ready to head out, we can make our way to Herondive Hollow and get started. It's too cold to spend too much time out there."

An herb patrol? Aster doesn't think he'd been called for any patrols yet, actually, so he's a little excited as he wanders over to where the medicine cat is giving instructions. Marigold and Lavender... dimly, he thinks he remembers his momma saying that one of her past litters had a Lavender in it and she'd had a pretty purple collar so... that must be the color of the flower. Marigold he'd never heard of before, so he'd have to rely on the other patrol members for that one. Easy enough! Hopefully.

Sorta excited to get started, he waits for the rest of the patrol; Redhawk (didn't Wolfpaw say she was a good one to go to if he ever needed help with anything?) and Drizzlenight. Aster didn't know either of them, but hopefully they'd be nice enough!

It was no surprise to hear her voice come from the medicine cats mouth. With a grin and a nod and a quick "You g-got it, Drizzlecloud!" Redhawk bounded over to where the cats were gathering with a sparkle in her eye. Drizzlenight and Asterpaw. She didn't know the former all that well but the latter was one of Bumblestar's apprentices, wasn't she? She was curious to see what she was like compared to Wolfpaw, the leader's other apprentice she had already met.

Slowing her entry as she spotted said apprentice near where all the cats were gathering, Redhawk flashed her a kind smile. "You ready t-to track down some p-plants?" she asked with a purr, already excited to get this patrol under way. She was a little nervous about taking an apprentice so close to what had once been tainted land - and would see to it that these herbs were tested before being brought back - but she wouldn't let it show.

Yayyyyyy!!!!!
The waggle-butt was shared between the two cats as Mudhounds body itself shook with the force of their tail wagging. Back and forth they rocked nodding wildly to every addition Drizzlecloud made with a giant grin on their muzzle. Patrol with a friend! That was basically a giant hang out session and Drizzle-chum then and long overdue!



"That sounds great!" The tripod desperately tried to get their wagging under control so they werent being constantly rocked off their single back paw, stumbling a bit. "Im sure well get comfrey with you there but if not Im an expert at finding cobwebs! Every bush I go in seems to have some, we can just pick it off my pelt!"
That was basically true, it was a real lucky thing that Mudhound had little to no fear of bugs because the amount of spiderwebs they tended to encounter was astronomical.


Now, at this point simply too excited to remain still, the maine coon mix bounced in place, happily chanting "Lets go, lets go, lets go!" Like an over excited dog promised walkies.



This was gonna be the best bonding patrol ever.

Drizzlenight's ears perked as his name was called for an herb patrol. It had been a long time since he'd been told to go on patrol, so he was glad for the opportunity. Especially when the location they were being sent to was announced- Cattail Pond. The dark warrior gave a single flex of his claws. Wouldn't it be just perfect if the guppies just so happened to try to take that pond back while we're there?

The only downside to that thought was that they had an apprentice going with them. Drizzlenight wasn't a particularly strong fan of an apprentice being sent to what sort of was still contentious territory; if something were to happen, they'd be relatively useless. Apprentices were better suited to the safer parts of the territory, where they could always be effective and efficient.

Nonetheless, he wasn't about to start an argument over it like he had mushrooms in between his ears instead of a brain. He wasn't familiar at all with either Redhawk or Asterpaw, but judging by the way Drizzlecloud spoke of Redhawk she seemed at least capable. Drizzlenight made his way over to where the pair were waiting, giving a curt nod to Redhawk to show that he was ready to leave.

A self-assured aura settled onto his shoulders as Yarrowcrest became visibly uncomfortable with his presence. His assumption seemed correct; he had no competition here. As Featherpaw approached he softened slightly, and dipped his head slightly towards the apprentice.

"And I would be Lioncrest," he rumbled, standing up with a swish of his tail and turning to await the designated leader of their patrol's movement. "I am more than ready to begin. Let us complete this task with efficiency and haste."

Amber eyes flicked back towards Yarrowcrest, and one brow raised slightly as he awaited the go ahead. He would not break protocol and take over leading this patrol (he had a modicum of decent respect for the medicine that had assigned this task), but that would certainly not prevent him from passing judgement on the performance of his fellow warriors.

Ah. Patrols. Training for him himself to get used to bossing others around with out them trying to murk him within seconds. He's pretty sure he hit a record, now it's 4 seconds rather than 2. His training was almost complete. Soon. Soon he will achieve a whole 10 seconds. Double digits. Dream big.

"Alright. When I call your name make your way forwards. Patrols are goin out." he announced. Taking a moment to glaze over who was out and about at the moment. Whether they were walking past, or just lounging, he doesn't care he'll steal them.

"First up. Wildtwist ( @Bean ), take your Apprentice Leafpaw ( @Leafy ) as well as Lioncrest ( @Jayvines ) on a hunting patrol. You'll be headed towardsThe Thunderglade, keep an eye on those Rabbit Chasers. Don't start anythin though, if they're aggressive just stay on our side of the border. Last thing we need is someone else framin us for another Apprentice death. While you're there remark the borders n make sure nothin's moved." he sniffed. Eyes narrowing towards Wildtwist. The Hornets have been quiet...too quiet truthfully. This would be quite the decent test to make sure they're on top of it. One of them at least.

"Bumblestar( @dino. ). I'll steal you for this one. You'll take a patrol to Smallpines. Huntin Patrol." he stated, holding no space in his instructions for confusion. Hopefully she'd realize what he's doing. Intimidation tactic. So they know they're watchin. "Figure you wouldn't mind Wolfpaw ( @BEAR. ) and Mudhound ( @Rani ) joinin you. I'd suggest a bit of border lookin as well, makin sure our borders haven't moved." nothing like the fox summoner going with. A dolt, but they had some meat on their bones, a decent meat shield. With a Wolfpaw for the trouble. Flawless.

"Eggbite ( @Ladiebugg ) , you'll take a patrol to Herondive Hollow. It'll be you, Fawnsplash ( @celeste ) and Featherpaw ( @lesbianism ). Hunt what you can, check the borders as well. Don't be stupid if I hear that any of you crossed the borders or antagonized I'll kill you myself." words he meant every word of. Idiots costed the clan he'd been there to witness that firsthand. He wasn't having Any. of it.

"Lastly. I'll be taking Fernwillow ( @Micanomancy ) , Redhawk ( @tallulah ) and Yarrowcrest ( @silver. ) with me to Haggard Ruins." perfect. That was a decent number of patrols. Knocking out both the borders as well as food. It was getting colder and colder and he didn't want to deal with a low prey pile.

"If you do not. Respond to your patrols. Nor check in. I will make sure you keep overnight watch on the coldest night, with Apprentice Duties the next few moons. Act like the Warriors you are and report in I should not have to specify this.

With that. You're all dismissed. Get Goin."

Ears perking as her name was called for another patrol - she had lost track of how many this was now - Redhawk grinned and padded over. She was feeling much more confident in her place as a ThunderClan warrior given that she had been on every last batch of patrols since she had been back it seemed. Red paws approached Spiderthroat and she dipped her head in greeting. "Glad t-to be on another patrol!" she greeted the tom as she stood, waiting for their patrolmates to join.

Large ears perked up to attention as the call of Thunderclan's deputy summoned him to action. Arching his back into a large stretch as he rose from his seated position outside the nursery, Lioncrest gave a lengthy yawn before padding over and giving Spiderthroat a terse nod. He might not approve of the blasé attitude that the deputy seemed drenched to the bone in most of the time, but he could certainly respect the candidness in which he gave his orders. Succinct, straight to the point, and no room for failure.

Settling onto his haunches, the large golden tom awaited the arrival of his patrolmates. If they did not show promptly, he'd make his way out on his own, but it would certainly be preferable to have more cats to catch sufficient prey.

Ah. Patrols. Training for him himself to get used to bossing others around with out them trying to murk him within seconds. He's pretty sure he hit a record, now it's 4 seconds rather than 2. His training was almost complete. Soon. Soon he will achieve a whole 10 seconds. Double digits. Dream big.

You'll be headed towardsThe Thunderglade, keep an eye on those Rabbit Chasers. Don't start anythin though, if they're aggressive just stay on our side of the border. Last thing we need is someone else framin us for another Apprentice death. While you're there remark the borders n make sure nothin's moved." he sniffed. Eyes narrowing towards Wildtwist. The Hornets have been quiet...too quiet truthfully. This would be quite the decent test to make sure they're on top of it. One of them at least.

"Bumblestar( @dino. ). I'll steal you for this one. You'll take a patrol to Smallpines. Huntin Patrol." he stated, holding no space in his instructions for confusion. Hopefully she'd realize what he's doing. Intimidation tactic. So they know they're watchin. "Figure you wouldn't mind Wolfpaw ( @BEAR. ) and Mudhound ( @Rani ) joinin you. I'd suggest a bit of border lookin as well, makin sure our borders haven't moved." nothing like the fox summoner going with. A dolt, but they had some meat on their bones, a decent meat shield. With a Wolfpaw for the trouble. Flawless.

"Eggbite ( @Ladiebugg ) , you'll take a patrol to Herondive Hollow. It'll be you, Fawnsplash ( @celeste ) and Featherpaw ( @lesbianism ). Hunt what you can, check the borders as well. Don't be stupid if I hear that any of you crossed the borders or antagonized I'll kill you myself." words he meant every word of. Idiots costed the clan he'd been there to witness that firsthand. He wasn't having Any. of it.

"Lastly. I'll be taking Fernwillow ( @Micanomancy ) , Redhawk ( @tallulah ) and Yarrowcrest ( @silver. ) with me to Haggard Ruins." perfect. That was a decent number of patrols. Knocking out both the borders as well as food. It was getting colder and colder and he didn't want to deal with a low prey pile.

"If you do not. Respond to your patrols. Nor check in. I will make sure you keep overnight watch on the coldest night, with Apprentice Duties the next few moons. Act like the Warriors you are and report in I should not have to specify this.

With that. You're all dismissed. Get Goin."

Fernwillow paid close attention to the names being called for patrols, hoping she would get assigned to one as well. She heard familiar names every so often, but one stuck out to her, in the patrol before her own was called. Featherpaw was off on a hunting patrol to Herondive Hollow. The silver tabby felt a little apprehension about Featherpaw going towards the ShadowClan border, knowing there was a chance she would get emotionally overstimulated. She quickly padded over to the small cat, tapping her tail on their shoulders. "Remember the hunting techniques I taught you." After a pause, she dipped her head closer and spoke very quietly. "Be smart. Don't give ShadowClan warriors, or Spiderthroat, a reason to flay your ears." With a warm nod, she returned to the main group and sought out her patrolmates.

Fernwillow came to stand by Spiderthroat, offering a nod to signal she was ready.

The tripod was prancing around at the call for patrolling despite border patrols generally being a hated task, simply ecstatic at the chance to have good family walkies. Sure Wolfpaw still didnt like them and sure, it was the riverclan border which was tense lately (though to be honest that was all of thunderclans borders at the moment) but it was family walkies!

So yes, there was a salute to Spider-dude over the assignment then happy prancing and dancing in place as the tripod waiting for their sister and kinda nephew to gather.

Featherpaw pricked her ears as Spiderthroat started to assign patrols. Hunting and border patrols combined? Well, she supposed dealing with them both at once saved on time, even if it was a little different than what she was used to.
Still, what was with her luck? Assigned to two patrols on the ShadowClan border in a row? She would think it were some sort of test if any of these cats actually knew she'd come from there.

Featherpaw nodded at Fernwillow's words, tail twitching nervously. "I'll be okay," they mewed, touching their nose to their mentor's as goodbye, then glanced around, looking for her patrolmates.

She hadn't spoken to either of the cats before, so she called out to them. "Eggbite? Fawnsplash?"

Being assigned to a patrol was great news - until Wolfpaw heard Mudhound's name. He couldn't say he appreciated being stuck with that one, but he kept his expression guarded as he awaited Bumba. She'd make this worthwhile, at least.

Noticing that his patrol mates have already gathered, the young warrior makes his way over to the group quickly, a bit nervous to be the final one to arrive. He says nothing but blue hues betray his silence. He hadn't spoken to the deputy once-- going on a patrol with him was bound to be uncomfortable. What was with all these patrols he was being sent on lately, anyway? No matter. It was a welcome distraction. Nodding to each of his patrol mates with an anxious smile, his gaze falls upon Spiderthroat.

"Sorry for the delay. Ready when you are."

Leafpaw perked when she heard her name called along with her mentor's name and some other cat. She couldn't recall if she'd interacted with Lioncrest before but she could tell he was at least dependable. She would at least get a chance to hopefully go out and do the patrol this time, unlike the last. The siamese was unsure about her mentor at the moment, not having seen a lick of him since their last training session and the failed patrol. "Hello" she gave a casual greeting when she came trotting over to the giant ginger warrior.

The young warrior's ears pricked as Spiderthroat called for patrols, and she moved over, wanting to be prepared if she got put on one. So.. they were going on a hunting patrol to the borders? That was odd, but she decided to just go with it, because doing two things in one patrol was practical right? Alright, she was with Featherpaw and Eggbite. That's.. an unusual name, she thought for a moment, before making her way over to Featherpaw and giving her a small smile.

"Hi," she mewed with a friendly dip of her head. "Guess we're just waiting for Eggbite now.

On the walk back to camp her fur had pretty much dried off - thanks to the shortness of it - and Redhawk didn't look like a drowned rat as much anymore. Figuring that Drizzlenight and Asterpaw would be able to drop off the herbs they had collected, Red instead sought out the medicine cat and padded over.

"C-Cattail Pond was a sss-success! We ff-found quite a ff-few herbs for y-you; I hope t-they're helpful!" ...She should probably address her damp fur. "I, uh, m-may have fff-fallen in - but d-d-don't worry! I'm o-okay." A grin spread across her face as if to reassure the medicine cat. With that, Redhawk waited to see if the medicine cat had anything else for her to do. If not, she would go drop these herbs off and curl up in her nest to warm the rest of the way up.

Ooo, patrol. Bumblestar had done a solo outing a few days back but it'd been a while since she'd been called for something. "You got it." Mudhound and Wolfpaw, Smallpines combo patrol. This might be interesting. "Let's head out. Hopefully the slugs've been behaving recently." Otherwise a certain RiverClan leader would be getting claws in her throat.

Heading back to camp with Lioncrest and Featherpaw in tow, Yarrowcrest makes his way to the medicine cat den to drop off his findings before padding his way over to Drizzlecloud. Offering her a dip of his head and a smile, he begins his report.

"Herb patrol was successful. We got everything you asked for-- in excess, if you ask me. Nothing out of the ordinary in that area, either, from what I could see and smell. Let me know if you need anything else of me."

Featherpaw trotted behind Yarrowcrest, placing down her sticks and juniper branch. First patrol ever, done and dusted! And she hadn't even had any issues, despite the fact that she'd been sent to Herondive Hollow. No Cloudpaw, no Valleystrike, no trouble!

They stayed quiet as Yarrowcrest reported back, listening carefully for when they were a warrior and leading their own patrols.

Apparently Lioncrest was far more suited to lead this patrol than Wildtwist; the tom had showed up late, stated that they should leave, and then promptly... not led them to their destination. Clearly the golden tom needed to take initiative here. Returning Leafpaw's greeting with a polite nod, Lioncrest waited for several moments before rising to his paws with a huff and a glance towards their stalling patrol leader.

"I will lead the way since you are clearly struggling to remember our assigned task," he rumbled, giving the other warrior a stern look before heading out the camp entrance. "Come. Let us not waste any further time; we are loosing daylight."

Featherpaw followed Fawnsplash back to camp, mind busy with thoughts of what she was supposed to do about what she'd seen. Maybe I'll ask Fernwillow what to do... She hadn't seen her mother around lately, and besides, her mentor seemed like more of an impartial judge than the cat who had half-clan kits...

Eggbite was their patrol leader and they hadn't seen her since they darted off to try hunt, but Fawnsplash was still the warrior here - they'd wait for them to report back to Spiderthroat. It wasn't like they had any prey to report anyway...

The young warrior began making her way back to camp, annoyed by the fact that they were assigned to a hunting patrol in a place where it was pretty much impossible to hunt. When they arrived at the patrol place, she made her way over to Spiderthroat, offering an encouraging smille to Featherpaw who appeared to be bothered by something.

Anyways - back to the report. "We went to Herondive Hollow and marked the border. I'm unsure where Eggbite went, but it appears she just ran off somewhere and didn't follow us home. About the hunting - all there was was crickets, we searched the whole area but there wasn't a single animal lingering around. Herondive isn't the best place for hunting," she mewed.
