She was just eyeing what's been happening in the clearing, and? Not much. And considering she can't just waltz out of camp by herself, she doesn't have much to pass free time. Good thing she wasn't too bored with watching other cats doing their own things in the clearing; not exactly a 'minding-her-own-business' type of thing to do, but it wasn't she was actually actively stalking and spying on these cats. DarkPaw sat stiffly outside the medicine cat’s den, tail curled neatly around his paws. The night air was cool, and the camp was quiet aside from the occasional rustling of leaves and the distant hoot of an owl. His ears twitched at every small noise, but he forced himself to stay still. |

Hickorykit looked from the dirt back to the apprentice's gaze, back and forth, looking dizzy. She pouted and scored the ground with her claws. The topic was too intense to think about. Mud was wet and uncontrolled, unstable, but dirt was tense and controlled, stable beyond anything. It was the ground she walked on, but could so quickly be affected by external forces. Her clawing became pouty stomps onto the ground bellow, meshing the grass into the dusty dirt. Hickorykit looks back up, remembering she's in another cat's presence, easing off her dirt-attack to sit back down and clear her throat. "There should be... be some moss, not too far." She points next to a den, a small smile tugging at her serious face. It looked like she was fighting the friendliness and attachment flooding her thoughts. Muddypaw was really nice, and nicer than other cats. Everyone was always so burly and passive-aggressive. It made her blood boil cold and icy. "I use it... use it sometimes wh.. when the grass stains my paws." She smiles in response, trying to encourage Hickorykit not to fight the joy, the kindness she was trying to spread. "Oh, really? That might be a good idea!" She purred. "I dunno if it will be enough to clean us both off entirely, but it'll be good to get that bit of mud off your nose!" She smiled, padding over to the moss and gently picking it up in her jaws. She went back and crouched down to be on the kit's level, wiping the dusty stains off her nose. ✦ |
