She/her - ShadowClan - Apprentice
[Apparently yes, it's an actual word.]

A bit of relief lifted some unseen weight from her shoulders. Just a basic spar? This didn't sound awful at all.
The small apprentice got into a 'fighting stance', not very different than a kit about to start a playfight.
Even though both Morningpaw and Shiverpaw were about the same age, the size different was crystal-clear. Shiverpaw still hasn't really outgrown her kittenish height.
Still, a good start, sort of. Ready, poised and actually protecting vital organs from attacks such as a belly rake.
Shiverpaw awaited for Morningpaw's attack or taunt, preferring to defend herself before it starts.
[Shiverpaw has disadvantage of small size, so if you want Morningpaw might use that to his advantage.]

MORNINGPAW
Shadowclan Apprentice ~ 6 moons ~ Purrks: Agatha Kitty [active]

Morningpaw readied himself, slowly circling Shiverpaw, amber eyes trained on her face, reading the expressions that flitted across it. Maybe after this he could help her with some training... Knowing he had the size advantage in this fight, the larger apprentice twitched his tail... And leaped towards her, paws extended. He swept a paw towards her right side, but then feinted at the last second and hit her left shoulder instead. He was going slower than normal, letting Shiver get a grip on things. Whether or not it hit her, he jumped over the apprentice in a flash of speed and stayed behind her, trying to confuse her slightly.

(Got it! He probably will, since he needs to work out what to do when he's not smaller than his opponent, because now he can't slip under them.)

She/her - ShadowClan - Apprentice.

Morningpaw's attack was succesful, Shiverpaw flinched at the swat on her scrawny, bony shoulder.
She whipped her head around, and turned her whole body in a quick leap. Small she may be, but what she lacked of size, she had in agility and nimbleness.
The she-cat's yellow gaze zeroed on the other apprentice as she rammed straight towards his direction, aiming a headbutt on his left flank.
An unconventional move, but momentum might be on her side. And besides, unconventional meant unpredictable, didn't it?

Relief. An expression of abject relief spread across his face and some sort of grieving pain lifted from the mere knowledge that Rookfire understood and was willing to help. Smiling weakly the tom bobbed his head, a sort of wobbly nod bow meowing a "Thank you so much Rookfire. I really appreciate it." before he honed in to pay attention to the lesson.

Faintly all the herbs were familiar and hearing them now he was pretty sure several had been used on some of his bumps and scrapes. "None on poppies, Ive had a couple before but Mama said Im weird because it doesnt dull any pain because I never seem to feel the pain to begin with so it just makes me sleepy." The tom shrugged, his weird relationship with pain was a mystery he'd never figured out nor was he going to any time soon. "Actually..." his head cocked, thinking on something. "Nothing blooms in the winter and poppyseeds sound important, do they keep and are stored through winter or do you have to go without or use an alternative instead?"

rookfires whisker brows furrowed at the bleedingpaws reply, curiosity sparking deep in his chest, tail flicking absentmindedly as he briefly mulled over the statement. a potential patient being resistent to poppy seeds could pose issues later on. though, since bleedingpaw said he couldnt really feel pain in the first place. "..interesting." he replied simply. no sense of pain could either make for a very strong warrior or a absolute disaster. they had no aches holding them back, but would suffer the consequences of pushing themselves too far. running themselves into the ground would surely happen sooner or later in case exhaustion didnt set in or another stopped them. he would have to keep a close eye on bleedingpaw, perhaps offer some sort of support in case the now apprentice found himself in battle one day.
"my..teacher.." if the hostile tom could even be called that was a lot more ah keen on putting healing warriors to sleep by administering three poppy seeds for warriors. i dont really do that unless theyre in a lot of pain, i like my patients responsive." the medic added, dumping more information on bleedingpaw instead of engaging in this newly revealed information any more.

"we dry them in bulk, a couple of flowerheads at once, especially around now when the last of them bloom. i havent served as a medicine cat for long enough to say this with certainty, but i recon with proper preperation we can get through late leaf fall and leafbare with the stocks gathered and dried beforehand." he confirmed. "there are some alternatives, none that particularly like leafbare though."

MORNINGPAW
Shadowclan Apprentice ~ 6 moons ~ Purrks: Agatha Kitty [active]

Morningpaw felt a shimmer of satisfaction as his hit landed. When she turned around and ran full speed at him though, he hesitated a fraction of a second before bracing his body, so she hit him side on. When Shiverpaw's body weight slammed into him, however, he only went back about a pawstep or two. "Nice move," The tabby apprentice said to the speckled one. "But you forgot I'm bigger than you." With that, he rammed himself into Shiverpaw's exposed body, throwing most (not all) of his weight behind it. Regardless of what happens, he attempts to pin her down with his paws while she's in a vulnerable position.

She/her - ShadowClan - Apprentice.

Air was knocked out of Shiverpaw's chest as she was crushed by Morningpaw's weight over her small physique.
Her hind paws kicked against the tabby's underbelly, the freckled molly attempting to break free, unsure if it would be effective but sure her kicks weren't as kittenish as they seemed, those claws did felt spiky.

[Sorry for short reply, I'm a bit busy here.]

Morningpaw grunted when he felt Shiverpaw's legs rake at his underbelly. He frowned slightly when he felt the claws though. Jumping off of Shiver nimbly, the dark apprentice circled the smaller molly. A small bit of blood dripped off his stomach. "Well done Shiver." He said, grinning. "You drew a tiny pinprick of blood, but good." She had managed to stab the tiniest hole, which dripped a few times before stopping. Morningpaw leaped at Shiverpaw again, tried to hit her with his left paw, but then turned slightly and smacked her middle with a kick of his hind legs. The apprentice nimbly caught her, whether or not the hit landed, and attempted to jump on Shiverpaw.

@Watson. (All good! Also, if you want him to not bleed, you can just ignore that part)

Ok that made a lot of sense, a warrior could tell you what was wrong more awake and proper planning played a bigger role then knowing some secret alternative herb. Was a shame though, it'd be nice if all of the important herbs had some sort of cold weather variant that (even if was less effective) was available in winter months.

He was kind of curious about who Rookfires teacher was that prompted that tone.

"Ok so thats poppy. Chervil and borage next right?"

Okay now she had to move forward slowly fishpaw moved forward trying to keep balance and shifting her weight with each step she took. She was fairly steady and with each atep was getting a better hand of it then the last. After stalking about a tail and a half lengths away fishpaw made her way back still crouched.

Mudslide blinked, admittedly impressed. She ran a tongue over her muzzle before she padded over to Fishpaw and sat infront of her, giving her apprentice a nod. It wasn't half bad, not nearly as bad as it could've been. With a stance like that, sneaking up on prey should be easy. Hopefully Mudslide didn't have her work cut out for her.

The oriental shorthair then unsheathed her claws and tapped the glinting spears along various points on her body. Throat, head, stomach, shoulder. "Prey n' battle." Of course, it depended on the prey. If Fishpaw was squaring up with a turkey (Mudslide was sure she would, Fishpaw was a maniac of a cat), then it'd be better to aim at other parts when compared to a rabbit or a mouse.

Mudslide then backed up, offering no other pointers or objectives. Mudslide wasn't going to talk her way through this lesson, a lesson that was more action based if anything. She tilted her head slightly, her mind blanking. If all she needed was stealth, they were done here. Its not like she could go out of camp, she probably couldn't just take an apprentice with her, she'd have to drag a warrior along. Mudslide loosely considered Roachflare....
