Hollowpaw won't pretend to fully understand the situation. He won't pretend that grief for his lost sister doesn't still hang over him sometimes, too. So he doesn't make a comment as the three go back and forth, even as they waste whatever precious time they have left to actually win this stupid competition. Hollowpaw's beginning to think Spiderthroat doesn't really care about wining. He's averted his gaze for most of the conversation, deliberately giving the trio space to feel like maybe this conversation was more privet than it really was, but at the mention of his name he turns back around.

"We'll be quick about it," he says with a yawn, trying to ignore the fact that the statement makes it sound like he cares about the other's feelings when he does not. No caring about others here! The last cat he cared about was his sister and look how that turned out! Never again!

As the patrols began to trickle in Spiderthroat did his best to look somewhat stern. Tail gently wrapping in front of his paws as they began to trickle in. This time around, they came in a more staggered manner. He was very pleased with it. He didn't care about punctuality as long as it got done.

Ravenfire Patrol

The calico nodded as Ravenfire spoke first. He'd happily take silence. No news is good news. Gently the tom looked around for prey, if there was none he wouldn't and doesn't mind. Truthfully he sent them out to make sure the other Clan was behaving.

Sharp eyes landed on Silverleopard, brow quirking. "Well. Did you learn anything about how to properly talk to your Apprentice, and how to teach them without acting like a kit yourself?" he asked. Hopefully the point got through to the she-cat.

"If you understood. And truly understood, than you all are dismissed. If you caught any prey please place it in the patrol pile. Based off catch alone the other Hunting patrol has won by a landslide." a snort.

He was on overnight guard duty. He didn't bring them all to that place to hunt, anyways.

That. Was new. The older tom couldn't help but chortle at the statement. "On him?" he chuffed. Looking over the warrior to look his son over quickly. So far, it seemed like all limbs were attached. His grin widening as the idiot trotted in late with the smelly thing flip flopping in his mouth.

"Good work. Feel free to drop it off in the prey pile." he hummed.

Stepping closer to Hornetpaw, he did a more thurough look over. "It is a fish brat. Edible by the looks of it too so just drop it off in the pile." he snorted. "I'm sure no badgers or foxes would wanna eat you because of your stench too." a flick of the tail. A gentle push aimed towards Hornetpaw towards the Prey pile if it landed.

Next up was Bumblestar's wife. Ah good. Everything was well and within order he would happily take all this lack of news...other than that fish. That was hilarious. A curt nod from the calico, ear flicking as he heard the apprentices bicker. Maybe three on one patrol was a bit of a stretch.

One of the brats being his own. "Kids." he stated gruffly, looking at the thre-oop. Looking at the two, one was walking away. "Get along." a simple statement with a hidden threat behind it. He was aging with each second. How the warriors and hornet put up with it, he'd never know.

"Good work." he said, a swift dismissal.

Dandelionmane Patrol

Here came the final patrol. With a good haul too. Wonderful. As they got closer Spiderthroat dipped his head. "All very good catches. Goes without sayin but you lot won the competition." a pause as he made sure to keep eye contact with Dandelionmane, a sharp grin "Just barely missin 3 day in a row overnight watches."

His grin dissapearing, replaced with that of a 'oh good job' look at Neetlepaw. "Good job. Keep at it, this will provide for the clan nicely...as long as there ain't any picky eaters." a snort.

Usually Spiderthroat was the one to handle patrols, but Bumblestar was feeling worse and worse about not getting very much done, and it had been a while since she had been able to head something like this... he wouldn't mind if she took the reigns just this once, surely. And if he did, well, he could stuff it, because she was doing it anyways.

The sun wasn't quite up yet. Golden light had begun to grace the camp, but most of it remained shrouded by clouds, and frost still made the clearing sparkle as she pushed her way through the lichen curtain and took up the spot beneath the Stormcrest, fur fluffed against the cold. Despite the morning's chill, she knew it would be somewhat warmer by sun-high; new-leaf was beginning to creep up on them, and not a moment too soon.

ALL PATROLS ARE DUE BACK BY MARCH 12TH!

"Rise 'n shine!" Her barked echoed across the clearing, loud enough to wake any cats sleeping in camp - there would be no excuse for "I didn't hear my assignment" this time. "Sendin' out patrols, so listen up!"

Patrol Prompt: The ice is cracking again, and danger lurks beneath the surface. Crap- watch the teeth!
"M//ountaintalon [ @dino. ], take Batmist [ @beau ] and Alpinemoon to Smallpines. RiverClan's been... quiet, so i don't think we'll have much issue, but it's best to double-check."

Optional Prompt: Did... did that squirrel just slip off the log and fall into the ravine?
"Mintwhisper [ @Seamrog ]! You, Ravenfire [ @Idiotic.Bean101 ], 'n Brindlepaw are headin' to Herondive Hollow. Careful of the tree-bridge, only cross if you think it's safe."

Optional Prompt: A dead rabbit lies just beyond the scent boundary, covered in flies. Is it worth it to bury it so it doesn't attract predators, or should it be left as WindClan's problem?
"Carrioncaller [ @Neptune. ], lead Milkbee [ @Star ] 'n Lynxpaw [ @Ian ] to the Thunderglade. Don't cause problems with WindClan if you see 'em, I'd like to remain on decent terms for a little while longer."

With all border patrols organized, she could jump into hunting next.

Optional Prompt: The frozen branches sound almost like bird-song when they clink together... how beautiful.

Optional Prompt: There are a few plants that look useable around the pond's edge. Maybe Wolfhawk and Hollowpaw will know what they are?
"Sprucejumper [ @Alchemist Kitsune ], I want you, Sunpaw [ @Kix ], Boulderspots [ @Purely_K2 ], 'n Fawnshadow [ @giscoolest ] to head to Cattail Pond. See if you can find anything there."

Optional Prompt: The very air still feels heavy. ...Does anyone else feel eyes on the back of their necks?
"Sunstreak [ @Songtail ]! You, Smokepaw [ @Splashcloud ], 'n Rowanlark [ @lio ] head over to Sunkissed Creek. Make sure nothing's taken up residence there, too." Prey would surely be back by now, because the sick camp had been empty for so long... she just wanted to make sure no predators had decided to make a come-back.

His leader's voice roused Mountaintalon from dreamless sleep, and he lifted his head, ears turning irritably. A Smallpines patrol... he felt his gut clench and growled at the feeling. Ah, the universe was finally playing jokes on him. He hadn't been back to the border since that fateful day.

He exited the warriors' den and moved to sit by the camp's entrance in order to wait for his patrolmates. An early start meant he would be mostly silent.

Burnedbark's ears swiveled in surprise when he heard his name. Not because he heard his name called for a patrol, that was fairly routine. What surprised him moreso was that he was called to lead a patrol. Well, I have been a warrior for a few moons now. Give or take. So that did make sense...but it was still so surreal. His first time as patrol lead, and with a much older warrior in the patrol too. Burnedbark rose to his paws, padding over to Nightwhisper. He may not act very social, but Burned was fairly familiar with faces by now. Particularly of his denmates, he saw them every night after all. "Still waiting on Silverleopard and Dawnpaw then." He mewed, amber eyes scanning the area for the other warrior and apprentice.

Bumblestar's voice wakes Lynxpaw from his sleep. He's about to go back to sleep when he hears his name and realizes that she's calling him for a patrol. The apprentice shoots up and out of the den, barely taking the time to shake the scraps of moss out of his pelt as he hares into the clearing. It is Lynxpaw's first patrol, and he's excited! Now he just needs to wait for Carrioncaller and Milkbee to show up, and they can go!

Alpinemoon was already awake when the patrol assigner yelled through the Clearing. She was slightly sleepy and cold but she had to push through the discomfort. Alpinemoon entered the Clearing and waited for her patrolmates.
