Re: ShadowClan Clearing
MORNINGPAW Shadowclan Apprentice ~ 6 moons ~ Purrks: Agatha Kitty [inactive] Morningpaw chuckled at Wildkit's last comment. "Maybe one day. But not today, so don't get your hopes up, Wildkit. See you around." The mottled tabby slunk off, whiskers twitching. He had a feeling he'd see that ridiculous kit again. Didn't know why. He just seemed like the type to hunt you down for a conversation. @namen_roodles (also, hi, you're back! when should the next interaction between the two be, do you think?) |
Re: ShadowClan Clearing
SILENTMUTTER Shadowclan Warrior ~ 30 moons ~ Purrks: None Silentmutter heaved himself to his paws and ducked through the entrance to the Elders Den, emerging outside in the clearing. His massive frame was hard to miss, especially when the cream and tabby tom straightened, rising to his full height now that there was no roof above him. He sat down again near the edge of the clearing, waiting for his father. "Have you been to see Whisperingkit?" He asked quietly, flicking his tail in the direction of the Nursery, where his daughter would be. His heterochromatic gaze flicked around the clearing, going from cat to cat. He eventually turned back to Mudburr, and twitched his ears rather awkwardly. Why was talking so hard, and why was talking to his father even harder? @CloudlessEve (Whisperingkit) |
Re: ShadowClan Clearing
The tom's shoulder's rolled above his head as he slunk out, giving a fair amount of clearance between him and the roof. His brown tail left the entrance last, leaving the branches forming the entrance as untouched as if he had never left. He took a moment to observe the muddy clearing, before following his son to the edge of it, taking a seat by his side. "Not yet." Mudburr replied softly, following Silentmutter's tail to the nursery entrance. He couldn't see the inside from this angle, but he would be lying if he said he didn't know about Whisperingkit yet. The tom had his sources; queens questioning, warriors talking, and kits squealing, but his observation was reinforced by habit. A clanmate wouldn't care to remember their chatting, but this kind of observation and record-keeping had always been his responsibility. It was like breathing to him now, in more ways than one. "Did you choose the name Whisperingkit?" He asked, starting the conversation for once. Mudburr was genuinely interested, but his apathetic flair served no benefit, making his voice come off as otherwise. . |

SILENTMUTTER Shadowclan Warrior ~ 30 moons ~ Purrks: None The massive tom blinked, allowing a hint of affection to creep into his heterochromatic gaze. "I had a say in it. Whispering was the one I liked the most." He murmured, shuffling his large cream-and-brown-tabby paws. "Do you like it?" He asked hesitantly, eyes turning downwards slightly, to meet his fathers gaze. Mudburr's expression remained much the same, but then, had Silentmutter expected anything else? @Cloverspring @CloudlessEve |
Re: ShadowClan Clearing
The elder's pupils were already facing his son when he turned around. They remained thin and unflinching, despite meeting Silentmutter's gaze. It was not meant for intimidation, nor was it confidence, but joy certainly didn't seem to appear. Mudburr let silence fill the air, then answered. "It's fitting." He mewed calmly. It was approval. But he never betrayed what he felt, not even to his own son. This wasn't because he didn't care, but because he didn't want to be responsible for making Silentmutter the way he was. Only Shadowclan as a group could raise him correctly, for he trusted the clan with his life, and his son's, along with Whisperingkit's too now. But maybe, as well, there was something deeper in the elder that had disapproved of his own being when Silentmutter was born. With all the knowledge that Mudburr had gathered about other cats, he had become frighteningly aware of his own self. He remembered how that felt. He spent many moments staring into the wet pools out in the edge of the territory, mute at the reflection of his own appearance. Admitting to this revelation of his own being would have gone against everything he had been taught to be. He had chosen this path, for Shadowclan, and he was bound to it... he was. Yet, when Silentmutter was born he was given another choice to make, and in that moment he found himself... unable to change. He remained disciplined to a leader of the past, but was able to abide by this dead code to give his son a different fate. Mudburr knew that if he was representative of Shadowclan's past leadership, then Silentmutter would be representative of its current, raised by the clan. Silentmutter probably had less time with Mudburr than other kits because of this, but looking at his son now he knew he made the right choice. His eyes thoughtfully lingered on his son, softening briefly, before turning to face the nursery again. His gentle voice broke the silence. "Will she be taking any kit lessons?" The elder shifted his thoughts away from himself, moving onto other things. He wondered if he would meet his granddaughter while teaching one of his own kit lessons. (step 1: denial of self lol) |
Re: ShadowClan Clearing
SILENTMUTTER Shadowclan Warrior ~ 30 moons ~ Purrks: None Silentmutter thought for a moment. "...Yes." He whispered eventually. "I'll get her into something." The large tom wanted to let his daughter pick what she wanted to do; However, the warrior would still choose at least one class for Whisperingkit. And then it was a matter of parenting... Mudburr was his father, and a good one at that. Silentmutter knew that. But perhaps he wasn't always.. there. He hoped to be a more constant presence in Whisperingkit's life than Mudburr ever was in his. That lifestyle had made him strong. Silent knew that. Didn't mean it didn't hurt though. Flicking his long, cream colored tail, the patched tabby stared into the distance for a second, blue and green eyes unfocused, lost in memories of his own kithood. Then he snapped back into the present, and met his father's gaze evenly once more. "How have you been? Anything you want to tell me?" He muttered quietly, twitching one of his ears. @Cloverspring (Maybe he decides to tell Silent about his kittypet mother? Idk, do what u want lol, it's good) |

https://warriorcatsonline.com/forums...ictureid=65353 https://warriorcatsonline.com/forums...ictureid=65449 He/Him - 21 Moons - ShadowClan Blackjaw stumbled out of the warriors den after hiding the honeysuckle. The tom padded to the fresh-kill pile to grab a mouse, before walking to an empty spot and sitting down. The mouse lay in front of him, and the tom took a bite. He was famished, after days of little eating and intense overthinking and a sick feeling in his gut. He hoped that he could eat more today, since his mind had settled slightly. @namen_roodles |
