Whisperingkit blinked in surprise as she was suddenly bombarded by questions. She sat up instinctively, taken off guard, and stared at Streamkit as she struggled to know where to even start. "S-Sure...I don't mind p-playing." She mewed softly in return, ears drooping timidly. "I-I wasn't really doing anything before." She added, scooting back to create more space for them to bat the ball back and forth.

Whisperingkit batted the moss ball towards Streamkit, aiming for it to go right to him, but it fell a little short. "O-Oh sorry!" She mewed. She hadn't wanted to accidentally hit her denmate in the face, so she had held back her toss.

"I-I'm not scared!" Whisperingkit mewed mutinously, narrowing her eyes as though to prove her point. But it wasn't a face she could make for long. If only she could stop stuttering, that would solve a lot of issues. Like cats thinking she was scared all the time. Whisperingkit shook her head as the other kit batted the ball back to her. "We don't have to. T-This is fun!" She purred, batting the ball back. This time, with a little more force. "I'm Whisperingkit." She mewed softly, blinking kindly at the other kit. She couldn't recall if she'd introduced herself earlier.

Whisperingkit's face made a pouting expression, ear flicking irritably as he laughed at her. But she said nothing. "Y-You think so?" She hadn't really thought of her name being cool, it carried too much weight. "My father's name...was Riverwhisper. My mother n-named me after him." She explained. "S-So I guess kinda." She added with a slight chuckle. Even if her mother hadn't meant it to be that way, she supposed she was named for a ghost.

She caught the moss ball easily and smiled excitedly, batting it back to Streamkit. She was getting better at it! "I-I like your name too." She mewed. Streamkit was a very RiverClan sounding name, but there was also a...strength to it. It was a good name.

Whisperingkit felt heat rush under her pelt. She'd never...really thought of it like that before. "I-I like that." She mewed, blinking at Streamkit gratefully. Usually, she could only focus on the pressure of carrying her father's name and legacy. Was her path truly her own? She probably gave that more thought than most kits. "I think y-your name is a s-strong name!" She protested, catching the moss ball again. Streams are flexible and can turn into powerful forces of nature. She believed what she said. Gaze flickering around, Whisperingkit picked up the moss ball and climbed to a higher point, trying to make the game more challenging. Whiskers twitching with excitement. "H-How about this then?" She challenged, giving the moss ball a stronger strike.
