"But it's so tasty!" Butterflykit responds, scowling at her littermate. Beekit and Butterflykit are inseparable, though Beekit always seems to be the responsible one. @Beanz |

Heroneye was guarding the nursery, as the Lionhearts took turns doing. After the hawk incidents, things had been pretty uneventful there lately, and she expected that to remain the case for some time. Not that she was complaining, of course; if hawks could show up in camp like that out of nowhere, nothing seemed out of the question. Not then, and not now. Still, though, that didn't mean that Heroneye's attention didn't begin to slip a bit as time went on, monotonous and giving the appearance of being incapable of change. She found herself yawning passively, casting a sideways glance over her shoulder at the nursery behind her. But then, she saw something that quickly knocked her out of whatever dreamworld she was just in: a kit with an unidentified mushroom in her mouth. She stared at the scene for a few heartbeats before rising to her paws, rushing over to the kit. Maybe it was harmless, especially since she'd spit it out, but if a kit died while she was supposed to be ensuring their safety... She saw the mushroom on the nursery floor as she came nearer, a clear indication that her eyes had indeed not been playing tricks on her. "Noone will be having any bites," she said to the kit who had wanted to try some of the mushroom, which would do StarClan only knew what to him. "You can't eat something if you don't know what it will do; it could kill you," Heroneye said quickly, the usual veil of euphemism she took on around kits disappearing in her panic. "Come with me to the medicine cat den, to make sure you didn't just have poison in your mouth." Her tone wasn't angry, just nervous and decisive. At this, she hooked the mushroom with her claw. First to bring in with her to the medicine den and maybe have it identified, and also to prevent any kits from grabbing it. (i hope you don't mind me jumping in, having heroneye intervene because they'd probably die if they ate random mushrooms like this :sob: ) ( @inanna - Beekit, Butterflykit ; @newo - Riftkit ) |

Frozenkit opened his eyes, waking from his sleep. He turned his head, then his fur bristled as the maggot-filled fish came into his sight. Frozenkit settled back into his nest, only to realize that he wasn't sleepy. He watched as the other kits talked about the fish, and his eyes turned to the entrance.
Would it be bad if I go outside for a bit? I've never been there... Frozenkit glanced around to make sure no one was looking, and he slipped out into the clearing. ============================================== :penguinballoon: |

She had always wanted to help out in the nursery, but as a warrior who had recently returned from spending time as an outsider, as well as just being plain large and intimidating in size, she worried that her presence in the nursery might be seen as a negative. Today was finally the day she was going to try it though. After a full moon of service hunting, helping apprentices with their training, and just doing good service to the clan, she felt like she had earned this. Something just for her. Easing her worries by thinking of a Song that fit the mood. It was a beautiful day, with a clear sky despite the layer of snow on the ground. The crunching of said snow announcing her entrance to the nursery, followed by the noises that would invariably be made by kits either curious or afraid of her appearance. The sound of other warriors passing by in the clearing distant and muted in the white landscape as Junipersong looked around the nursery. She did her best to not be so imposing. Being a large Maine Coon, she was easily twice the size of most other cats, and her numerous scars didn't really help either. However, the genuine affection she had in her eyes, and the purr of a song in her throat helped cut through some of the initial unease that a kit might feel at her presence. Once she settled down, she had an aura about her that wasn't dissimilar to some queens. Waiting patiently to see if any of the kits were brave enough to come up and say hello to her, wanting them to take things at their own pace. If all of them were too scared of her, she would just have to accecpt that and leave for now. // (Soundscape by me. Quick post for activity NettleSnout Her belly swollen and her paws aching she knew the delivery was soon. She let out a soft huff, should she ask her sister to join her for her kitting? Fear silently nawing on her knowing her sister was heavy with her own kits and didn’t want to bother the poor queen but at the same time this was her first kitting and she didn’t want to go in alone. She shook her head and curled up once more, her tail laying in her soft pink nose as she thought that she’d ask her sister to just make an appearance for her comfort and to soothe her troubles. |
