small spiky-furred black tabby with striking icy blue eyes. has a huge fluffy tail & a few scars in the shapes of bite-marks across its ankles; notch in left ear. speaks in a rough & low tone of voice and smells strongly of mint & pine.

̗̀➛ It had been a while since the warrior had bothered to take its unruly fur. In all honesty, it was destined to always be sticking up in awkward places but .. Gutsgnaw was attempting to keep up face on some level. Goopywhisker had (and always would) left teeth reeling after .. that. For a while, it had felt as if the abyss was controlling its movements. Mind stuck in that haze.

And while the feline couldn't pretend it was perfectly fine, it could take care of its fur. So, that's what it was doing. Rough tongue dragging over his fur, every so often licking bat's teeth and dragging it over the top of bat's head. Once it was somewhat satisfied with its thick and spiky fur, it started to undo the braid within its cheek fur. It had been a while to the point it was becoming far too furzy. Gutsgnaw enjoyed the asymmetrical look but neatness was a must. Luckily, the warrior was swift as ever to rebraid it with the vines.

Its mind always went quiet when weaving. Perhaps that is why Gutsgnaw didn't hear Rookfire approach. At the sound of his voice, it flinched slightly back in shock. Blink. Blink. Oh wow, it had forgot that cats could actually just try to talk teeth. Like it wasn't existing in its own little foggy world. While small talk was something it utterly loathed, black and grey tom wasn't .. not welcomed.

"Ayo, " It replied, blinking slowly as... Rookfire complimented it. On its name. Honestly, teeth always got a little strange look but it had looong since accepted it. Still, a compliment was always .. nice.. bat supposed. "...Thanks. Supposed I needed a unique suffix to match the prefix, y'know?" Bite snorted, chuckling quietly.

Its teeth wrapped around its legs, an awkward silence briefly dropping in between. This might be the first time they actually talked together and it wasn't related to training. Feeling a slightly inclined to keep the conversation going after Rookfire offered an olive branch the first thing that came to mind was: "S'rry you got uh, demoted 'n stuff for kickin' too much ass at the whole medicine thing. Dunno why everyone decided to start listenin' to rotting corpses over common sense. 'Sides everyone knows you run yourself ragged tryin' to do good, abyss knows you saved my ass durin' my apprenticeship, " The words fall out awkwardly, hindleg lifting to itch behind its ear as a nervous gesture. That situation still had it baffled.

Quick to decide Gutsgnaw didn't like offering ... whatever this was, it was quick to add in a different subject. "Yo, want me to add a braid in your tail? Think's it the only place where your fur is long enough, but it looks cool 'n you can take it out easily if not, " Squirrelrise had seemed to like the whole.. braid. Maybe Rookfire would too.
