Re: Sleepy Thicket
“Alright,” said Heroneye in a low voice. “Do you think you can get that bird over there?” She flicked her tail towards the bird in question. ( @Snowyfeathr ; @Yoshdo ) |
Re: Sleepy Thicket
"Ok" she whispered. She quietly padded over towards the 'stabby bird'. Padding a long the edges of the area. She made here around to a sizable distance away. She then walked slowly within clear sight of the bird and flopped onto the ground, her back exposed and waved her tail for non threatening attention. The bird paused and stared for a moment and suddenly it flew straight towards her. (Shrikes get larger prey impaled on a branch to attract mates) As soon as she felt the bird on her back she flipped herself over. After a minute she gave it a bite to the neck fully killing it. She quickly murmured thanks and after snagging the bird's own kill she padded back over. She knew it probably wasn't the traditional way to hunt but it did the job right. "Is that good?",she asked hopefully.

Heroneye watched Rainingpaw with curiosity. It took a rather unusual bird to fly directly into a cat like that, after all. “Well, if it works, it works, I suppose.” Heroneye herself got to work after that, and she’d soon caught a bird of her own. “Alright,” she said to Rainingpaw. “Are you ready to head back to Hollytail?” ( @Snowyfeathr ; @Yoshdo ) |

With that, Heroneye went with Rainingpaw to meet back up with Hollytail. It was not long before they arrived at the predetermined place with their prey. ( @Snowyfeathr ; @Yoshdo ) |
Re: Sleepy Thicket
The medicine cat was quick to spot a yellow flower a bit further away. perfect, they were flat headed and perfect. she grabbed two of them, then returned to their meeting place. Mistyshard scanned the territory, finally letting her one eye land on a plant similar to borage. As she headed over she noticed that the first few flowers were wilted, which made her wrinkle her nose. After looking a bit deeper, she managed to find two good ones and brought them back to where she'd left her dandelions. She dropped them for a quick moment to announce they were going back; they were already running late as is. |

Berrypaw kept her nose to the dirt, searching for... what was that other one called again? Borange? No... B-something... anyway, she was determined to find it, rehearsing Mistyshard's description in her head. Her ears perked up, however, when she heard Mistyshard's call. "Oh... okay!" She shouted back, quickly starting to trot over. Her bright green eyes kept scanning the ground as she neared until...! [Roll: 19 | Success] Aha! Those leaves and flowers that Mistyshard had described were right there on the way! Picking off two good parts, Berrypaw made sure to collect her dandelion as well as came over to the medicine cat. "I'm here!" She mewed, proudly holding out her finds. [+2 borage] |

Re: Sleepy Thicket
It had been quite a while since Fadingsun had visited any of the landmarks specifically; he usually stuck to the territory on his solo patrols. This excursion lead him to Sleepy Thicket. He'd never been one to believe much in the tales and myths of this place, but it did still give him the heebie-jeebies.
There was a certain darkness to this place, and not just in the physical sense. It didn't help that it seemed like he was all alone; it gave the place an even eerier level of quiet. The leader padded around slowly, looking for signs of trouble while also hoping not to find it. The sooner he could get out of this place, the better. [ open! ] |
