Somehow Pikekit had managed to wrangle a cricket, and oh boy did that mean he was about to have some fun. He sprinted into the nursery, cricket wiggling inside his mouth as he began to act out a rather dramatic scene in front of his mother. Eyes bulging, paws grabbing at his own throat, perfect. Just like he was choking, then collapse. His body went limp as he dramatically fell to the floor of the nursery.

Hiding best he could the grin and laughter, when mother opened up his mouth out would burst the cricket to give her a fright. He’d spent a week planning it, finding the little bug in the reeds in the clearing and carefully containing it. If he was honest it was beginning to tickle his tongue.

Frigidkit had just been trying to pounce on a pebble in the clearing for the past..two minutes or so? He couldn’t get it right!!! He kept slipping and slipping and slipping! He needs papa Rowan to teach him!!!!!!!!!!! He waddled back into the nursery with some souvenirs from the outside world (dirt and probably snow) stuck onto his pelt. Listen it’s fine if the nursery gets a little dirty. And???????????????? The first thing he sees is the ball of fur he was brought into the world with —who he’d figure out some time ago is actually named Pikekit— uhh..oh, Frigidkit hasn’t been around for long but Pikekit looks buggy “Mamaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? Whah happened to Pikekit? Is that normal?” Frigidkit called out for his mom’s help. And he was..unknowingly playing into the prank but..he wouldn’t know any better.

Sure, Wisteriawren had let out a very high-pitched shriek as Frigidkit directed her gaze towards her son, BUT to set the record straight, she hadn't been terrified of that bug! It had all happened in a blur, her mind moving too slow for her paws. She was more panicking over Pikekit's sudden collapse, and horror had the new mother jerking towards her son, reaching over to pry his mouth apart. The cricket had just startled her!

After a frantic check-over and sniffing just to make sure she didn't need to rush him to Berryshine, it finally dawned on Wisteriawren that her sons were playing a prank on her. Shock ebbs into profound relief, and the stocky classic tabby slumps forward in relief. "Oh, you... you little rascals." She purrs, voice raspy from her earlier shout. "You're okay, he's okay." She says to the boys, moreso telling herself. Her baby wasn't hurt. Well. He'd earned himself and Frigidkit a proper grooming. "Bath time." The former kittypet announces, pulling the brothers into her arms to shower them with licks.

Stormwish opened their eyes, yawning slightly. Flicking their thick, fluffy white tail off their face and to their side, they lifted their head up and gazed at their kits. "I'm surprised you lot aren't awake yet." They said, gazing down at their litter with deep blue eyes.

Willowkit opened first her blue eye, then her green one. "Is it really time to get up?" she mumbled, wriggling deeper into the mass of warm kit fur that surrounded her. "I wanna sleep." @Dreamheart

Stormwish purred and licked their daughter's head. "You don't have to, but most of the other kits are awake already," They looked at the other kits with a hint of humour in their eyes. "Except your siblings, apparently."

Copperkit opened her eyes. "M-mommy?" she asked tentatively. Her amber eyes stared up at the queen in a adorable glare. She clawed at Willowkit. "Wake up, ya lazy mouse!"

Moonkit stumbled out of the nest, managing to step on every one of her siblings in the process. She made it to the floor of the nursery, where she stretched like she had seen the big cats do. She turned back to her siblings, most of whom had woken up now from being stepped on. "So what game do you want to play?" @Dreamheart @Opalfrost @Lizardclaw @ariislovely @Copperfox wake up you just got trod on guys >:3

Starclan slept on clouds? Then why weren't they called Cloudclan? Claykit's features matched her inner confusion, as she tried to think things through. Clouds did seem comfy to sleep on. When it rained, did that mean that Starclan was having a party? Or was it old Riverclan cats giving out more water? Oh, but if they slept during the day, then they could hang out in the sky at night. Songwave tilted his head over his shoulder, so that it was nearly upside-down, to get a better view of his step-daughter bounding in. "Hello Primroseadder!" He meowed from the goofy looking position.

The tom rolled his head back upright when Claykit mentioned his currently smelly nature, and he let out a chuckle. "This is the smelly den after all, otherwise Claykit would have no reason to be here." He joked, waving his tail in front of his nose to add to the effect.

"I'm doing fine myself," he answered, switching back to his honest self. "I was able to get Claykit to touch the nursery roof for for Owl-take-flight, but I'm not sure I'd be ready to do it with you yet!" He didn't want to leave Primroseadder out of anything he did with the kits, but realistically, he wasn't sure he could bounce her up off his paws and into the air like Claykit, nor did he think that was something she would enjoy as much. Still, Songwave would do it if his step-daughter wanted to, she was his family all the same and would always put in the effort to show he cared.

"How about yourself?" He purred in question.
