While the other kits were out playing, Chestnutkit was rock hunting. He found one cool stone, and since then, he’d been hooked. A small pile was growing alongside Waddle in his secret stash place, where he hid all his cool stuff in case another kit tried to take it. Thankfully, they were always too busy playing to notice where he stuck his rocks.

The tiny tom really didn’t like the way the others played. They bit and rolled and it hurt. Chestnutkit didn’t like hurt, he didn’t like it at all. So he avoided the others like the plague, afraid of getting caught in the war zone. For a cat so afraid of getting hit, though, you would think he’d watch his back a little closer. Instead, he tuned out everything around him. So when Streamkit came up behind him, it scared him out of his pelt.

The kit squeaked and whipped around with an uncharacteristically athletic jump. No one ever approached him before. He didn’t talk to anyone, really, except Waddle and Spottedfeet, and talking to someone new—and his age—made him a little nervous. Avoiding eye contact, he mewed, “‘M lookin for rocks.”

Kinda feeling bad for scaring Chestnutkit, she decided to be as nice as possible. Well, she wouldn't not be nice as possible anyway, but she really felt bad for scaring him, so she was gonna be even more polite.
"Oh! That's cool!" She meowed.
"I found a good spot in a puddle for a lot of big and small rocks. I found a very shiny one too! Wanna see?" Streamkit smiled. She looked over at the little pile.
"Ooh, neat bug! I buried one of those once. And cool rocks. Oh, also the puddle can clean the rocks and make them shiny. They make them feel much cooler and fancier than usual."

Oh, this wasn’t an intruder. Just an apprentice cleaning the nursery, that was nice of him. ”I’m Pikekit! Errrr sorry for biting you, who are you?” Pikekit squeaked out the apology for turning to face the other kit. It seems like they also had the same idea to prevent the invasion.

He wondered if he should offer to help, maybe that would be a nice thing to do?

The large Lionheart slipped into the nursery, first padding to his mate without hesitation and nuzzling his head to hers. “Greetin’s love, how’re ya?” he purred quietly, waiting for a response before flicking his gaze to his sons. He immediately put on a goofier smile, looking at the three little troublemakers. They were bound to be if they were RowanManes own. RowanMane would do better. Better than the first time, better than his parents. He’d do good for these ones. “’ey there kiddos! Have ya been good for ya mother? If ya have I’m offerin’ badger rides!” he huffed, licking the top of their heads in greeting.

HIM FIRST HIM FIRST HIM FIRST HIM FIIIIRST!!! If the kit was excited for anything, it’d be his papa suddenly entering the den and offering free badger rides out of nowhere “Papa!! Papapapapapapa! Frigidkit dunno what Lotuskit’s been doin’..but Mama Wisteria got pranked by Pikekit!! Both of us got punished in bath time!!” Admitting it and didn’t even try to hide it. Of course in the end Frigidkit was also just trying to get papa Rowan’s attention before the rest does. Mark his words! “Frigid wants badger rides too!” he wanted to feel tall! And bigger, and stronger too! If anyone were to get a reward for being quite the loud and bouncy kit right now, it’s probably him. And according to him, probably SHOULD too…… As long as he doesn’t get bath time again. Grr. But for now he’s free to get as much stuff stuck onto his tiny pelt like it’s some inventory.

Pikekit let out a squeal of delight as his father appeared, the youngster was immediately on all fours barrelling towards him about to crash into his legs. ”DAD!” Pikekit squeaked loudly, followed by a barrage of words to prove him and his brothers almost certainly deserved a badger ride.

”WEHAVEBEENSOGOODFORMOMANDWEHAVEPLAYEDANDHADFUNA NDIREALLYWANTABADGERRIDEPLEASEDAD.”

Wow, he sure knew how to form a sentence.

lotuskit was doing mysterious stuff. unknown stuff, secretive, even - in the corner of the nursery, back facing any viewers. he was positive he totally had a mysterious energy to him, which definitely made him appear cool. ya know, like some of the stoic, silent warriors he's seen around the camp before. though, unlike those warriors, he isnt brooding (not actually, it just appears he is), he's admiring a small worm.

his stoic facade quickly drops once his ears perk at the sound of a familiar voice, jumping to his paws and whipping around. it was!! papa!! and according to frigidkit, his brothers got baths as punishment. ha! man, maybe he should've been paying attention.. he would've died from laughter. pikekit was as loud as ever.

hurrying over, the tom flashes a toothy grin. "hey, pa!!" he greets, before shooting pikekit a glance. "ya gotta speak slowly, pike! how's he s'pposed to understand ya if you're speakin' so fast?" he wasn't even sure what his brothers were thinking.. thinking they were gonna get the first badger ride. "obviously I get to go first! I'm oldest," he chimes.

She narrowed her eyes, glancing between the two talking below they turned to her. She was hunched over the clump of moss, tiny hackles raised and staring up at them with slitted pupils. "I don't wanna tell you" She spat, nose wrinkling. She didn't wanna deal with either of them! Nuh uh! Nuh uh! This was her moss, and they were gonna steal it! There was no forgiving that! So no name for them....

Her heart was close to bursting as she gazed at them. Her family. Wisteriawren instinctively returns Rowanmane's nuzzle, a wide smile stretching over her face. "Never been better. I missed you." The former kittypet responds truthfully, eyes soft. Even if he was right in the other den, she'd still miss him. She follows her mate's gaze to their three troublemakers. Well, just two as of right now.

Her smiles grows broader at Frigidkit's response, and then laughter escapes her at Pikekit's hurried yelling. "Calm down, calm--" her words cut off, gaze riveting on Lotuskit. "Sweetie, come here, I need to give you a bath." Her brow wrinkles at the small specks of dirt on his grey pelt. What corner had he gotten himself into this time? Speaking of baths... Wisteriawren side-eyes her mate, scrutinizing his pelt. Did he need to be groomed too?

Later. Maybe she could convince him into spending tonight here with her and the kids, too. Nobody would mind, right? That would be nice.
