Hailfang smiles at Russetstrike, then he notices the worried look in Russetstrike's eyes. "Great job! Now can you go a little deeper? You don't have to yet, we could try something else." Hailfang didn't want to push the other tom too much, he didn't like scaring other cats or driving them too far. It made him slightly uneasy.

Fernpaw looked down at the fish, then at the cattail pond. "Can I catch one more?" she asked, wanting to catch over one fish for her Clan. Hope she says yes, the black and white apprentice thought hopefully.

Hollywatcher smiled and slightly chuckled. She flicked her tail and nodded. “The more the merrier.” She was glad that her apprentice seemed to enjoy hunting. It meant that she’d be focused and want to learn more and that’s exactly the kind of attitude an apprentice needs. “Just don’t catch too many.” She winked at her.

Fernpaw giggled, then crouched at the pond once more. she missed a fish or two because she was a little bit slow, then finally snatched one and bit down on the neck. After all of that, Fernpaw stifled a big yawn. "May we go back to camp?" she asked Hollywatcher, wanting to rest in her cozy, dark green nest.

Hollywatcher nodded. “You did a great job. You should be proud of yourself.” She smirked at the end of the sentence. She knelt down and picked up the fish she caught and one of the fish Fernpaw had caught. This went really well, she’d have to train with her again soon. There was still so much to teach her.

Taking a deep breath, the tom decided to just make the plunge. "No, I can do this." Padding farther in, the sandy bottom soon turned to muck. Which his paws quickly got stuck in so, he had to pull them out. Deperate to get
away from the muck at the bottom, he leaped out farther. Sending ripples of water in every direction. Splashing around, the russet tom just managed to keep his head above water as he tried to swim awkwardly.

Hailfang follows Russetstrike in, "Try this." Hailfang raises his head up and kicks his hind legs as far as they can go. Then he uses his front legs to paddle in front of himself.

So then the white warrior was off, venturing past the pond to follow the trail of this peckish rabbit. As the grass tickled his stomach, trotting into the tall grass he laid low like a snake. When he scanned the area he saw a white bobbed tail and knew instantly where it stood. More up on my far right, he traced. This will be tricky. It's hard to go into stealth mode if the grass swished under his feet. So then he thought of an interesting plan and hopped on each stone he approached to soften his steps until spotting the rabbit up close.
He didn't waste any time. This wasn't a fish or a mouse. A rabbit is fast as hell and speed isn't his strong suit. Greenfur dash through, claws extended to grasp the cottontail, bringing its thrashing body under his control. The rabbit whined loudly, even trying to scratch him up but his scratch was more deadly. One strike to the head, he stunned them as it ran on the floor in place and he crushes down on the rabbit's neck. Its beady black eyes turned round, staring blankly at the sky. "Well that's done," he grumbled.
Before he could scoop up his kill an alarming howl echoed behind the shadowed forest trees. His eyes turned into green twin moons, ears straight up as he detects where the howling was coming from. It's far but still... "Okay, time to get the hell out of here." Greenfur wrapped his jaw around the rabbit's neck and dragged toward their designated spot.

"Ah..I hope they finish up soon." He said, flinging the heavy burden in front of him. "Out of all things, a ..dog." @hope @:Grimm:

Sparrowpaw had only managed to catch a mouse before he heard a howl. It sent a shivers up his spine and he at once ran to the meet spot to see Greenfur. "W-What was that?" He asked.

"Dogs," he replied back casually. Staring at his fretful apprentice made him reflect back on his own tone. Perhaps it's because he's been around dogs before? Must be it. Even during the battle with coyotes, it didn't make him quiver. They're just smaller mangy mutts in his eyes. "It should be fine. From the sound of its howls, they seem far and close to where the twolegs live." Meaning they won't go far, a dog always run back to its master. "But, I think it's time to wrap up everything. Dayheart!" Greenfur shouted the warrior's name. "Oh, how was the hunt? Caught ..anything?"

"look at me go!! i'm so cool!! i can hunt stufff!!" he mumbled to himself excitedly, his ear flickering as he heard the sound of a faraway dog howl---only, it wasn't as faraway as he'd let himself believe. hearing his name, the warrior skipped his way back to the group, carrying his mouse.

"hi loveliess!! i caught a thingy!! also, i heard a dog.... but i caught a thingy!! a mousee!!" he exclaimed, putting his mouse on the floor as he spoke. he noticed sparrowpaw's and greenfur's catches and he gave them a large smile. "good job you two!! you're both amazing, the clan is lucky to have you!!"

Greenfur plainly smiled. "Good job, Dayheart. The clan is lucky to have all of us," as he said it, there was a slight skip of hesitation in his voice. A sad cast in his green eyes only traced for a millisecond before shaking it off with an upward sigh. "Great. Let's head back before we get a lashing from Sootflare." The last patrol groups lacked a ton and the upset deputy had a one on one with each of them. From his guess, there was some punishment involved and he definitely doesn't want to be part of that. Greenfur grabbed the rabbit's scruff, dragging it back into the woods. "And off to camp we go," he grunted. Holy cow this crap is heavy..

The russet tom gave a struggled, half underwater, nod and pushed out his back legs. This was much better but, not perfect. He would need much more practice till he was as good as a normal RiverClan warrior.

Hailfang smiles at Russetstrike, the other Tom was doing much better. Soon, he would probably get the hang of this. Hailfang swims back to shore and turns to Russetstrike, waiting for the tom.

The russet tom had gotten used to swimming in this moment and soon he was decently comfortable. The real test would be when he would get it again. That’ll be interesting.
Seeing Hailfang on the shore, the tom made an effort to turn, which he did with the minor inconvenience of dunking his head under the water. Soon, he was crawling out of the water with his fur soaked. Looking over at Hailfang though, the water seemed to slip right off him. Hopefully his fur would do that eventually.

Russetstrike followed Hailfang back to camp, shaking his fur out every so often.

Lotusheart sat at the edge of the glossy pond, gazing upon her reflection. The light of the sun reflected int the water which in turn reflected off of her eyes. So many reflections....She didn't know which one was real. So many possibilities. She shook her head. She came here to fish and that was what she would do.

Lotusheart sat in a place where her shadow would not fall into the pond and waited a bit. After a while she spotted a perch rushing through the waters of the pond. She shot out a paw, hooking the perch and pulling it on dry land. With one swift bite, it stopped flopping.

"I wish the fish had slapped me, causing me to fall in, but it was even worse. One fish slapped me when I caught it and I fell into the pond while chasing a second one later. So both my attempts were kinda silly. Good thing I managed to catch both." she chuckled.

Foxblaze crept tword the pond, keeping her shadow away from the water. She waited patiently for a fish to come by. She waited for a couple minutes, probably the longest time she had sat still. Finally a fish came by and her paw jetted out and pulled it ashore. She quickly delivered the killing bite and stood proudly by her catch.

Lotusheart laughed happily. She remembered the times she was too ashamed to laugh in case someone made fun of her deep voice or big eyes or massive size. Now she had friends and things were a lot better.

Lotusheart expected herself to flinch at the words and chuckle awkwardly. Instead, she burst out laughing just as loudly. Why hadn't it bothered her? It seemed like Foxblaze meant no insult. And it was in fact hilarious. Her massive shoulders shook with laughter. Guess she wasn't the only weirdly sized cat!

(Sorry if u meant to accidentally upset her, I couldn't get offended at cinnamon roll Foxblaze)

Skunkpaw smiled back at her mentor and her whiskers twitched with excitement. "Just because I was born a rogue doesn't mean I won't like it.", she meowed, puffing out her chest. She wanted to be the best fisher. She just hoped she wouldn't end up a drypaw.
