Tigersplash couldn't help a soft purr as Ripplekit appeared and introduced himself. These kiddos didn't seem so bad. He glanced at Softsky before nodding in response to Ripplekit's question, lowering his body to seem less imposing. "I sure do! Did you want one?" He offered, flicking an ear back invitingly.

Primroseadder's soft emerald gaze was fixed on the five sleeping kits at her belly, her tail wrapped around them to keep them in place. She looked over to where her half-siblings were. ''Claykit, Hickorykit, come meet your kin. Tell Almondchatter and Songwave, too,'' she purred softly, her eyes glittering. She got up and stuck her head out into the clearing. ''Tigersplash! Mistybreeze! Adderstrike! Mosslight! Come on in 'n meet the kits.'' Afterwards, she settled back down with her kits.

Adderstrike happened to be walking by the nursery when she heard her name get called out. With a warm purr she quickly came in. There she saw a bunch of tiny little beans of mewing fur, also known as kits. There was a feeling of happiness, love and a soft feeling of sadness. Primroseadder was no longer her apprentice but now a full blown mother. It felt strange, like she wanted to freeze Prim in time but she had to push those sad feelings away. This was a joyous time. A time to celebrate.

"They are all so beautiful Primrose..." She said with a soft and loving purr. "What did you decide on for names for them?"

Mosslight padded forward, for once not bursting with energy. She seemed confused- real confused.

"Wha- when? How? You never told me you had a mate? Or that you were expecting kits?" she said, bursting with questions as she sat down near Prim.

Primroseadder smiled as her former mentor, Adderstrike, and her former apprentice, Mosslight, made their way into the nursery. The queen let out a soft purr and gestured to each of her kits. ''This is Stormkit, after Stormstar,'' she mewed softly before touching her nose to the head of a kit that looked exactly like Stormkit, except it was her brother. ''Freezin'fury 'n I decided to name him Owlkit, after Owlstar.''

The next kit was a pale-brown-and-white rosetted she-kit. ''We decided to name her Cypresskit,'' Primroseadder rested her maw on Brightkit's back. ''This is Brightkit, and the last one---'' Her eyes softened as she moved to swipe her tongue gently across Fallowkit's head. ''---is Fallowkit.''

Primroseadder shook her head at Mosslight's questions. ''The kits were unplanned. Freezin'fury 'n I aren't exactly...mates.''

When it seemed his treasures were in no danger, Chestnutkit gave the enthusiastic molly a small smile back. He started after her, but something stopped him. He looked back his Waddle and rocks. Tossing another glance over his shoulder, he ran back to the pile and pawed it closer to the edge of the den. With a satisfied nod, he bounded as fast as he could (not fast) to catch up.

Aren't exactly mates? Adderstrike tried not to gain a puzzled look nor an angry friend mom look either. It was a struggle though. Primroseadder deserved someone who wasn't skirting around the bush with labels. What if he didn't want the label of father either? Well, Adderstrike tried to not get made at something that hasn't happen yet but she was certainly wary about all of this. "Those are beautiful names. Seeing your kits makes me a bit jealous. I almost want some of my own." Adderstrike chuckled softly, though she knew that wouldn't happen. There was no way that she was going to spend time with a tom, shecats only. "I suppose I could instead help you watch over the kits when you need a break from them."

Claykit roused awake when she heard her name called. Wait, big sis Prim was here? And who were those little kittens with her? She padded over, her usual high energy marginally subdued. The little guys had some fun names. Clearly, naming things ran in the family. And it seemed she wasn't the smallest now too.

The kit tried to poke the tikes gently with her nose. "Where'd you find 'em, big sis? Wanted to hang out with more kits than me an' Hickory?"
