Owlkit wiped his eyes with a soft paw, slowly sitting up, doing his best to put on his happy-go-lucky self- despite this time, it was a harsh facade. "I'm okay m-miss! I'm just happy crying!" He squeaked, forcing himself to smile.

Splashcloud finally gave up. I'm sorry darling, but I think somethin' else is wrong. She mewed softly, so that no other cat could hear it but Owlkit. Yo8u wanna tell me? I promise I won't tell anyone else. I'm a good secret keeper. She gave the kit a soft smile. Maybe he's just mad at a sibling? Splashcloud wondered.

Cypresskit knew her siblings enough that she could tell when they were hurting. And Owlkit was clearly hurting. The pale brown and white rosetted tabby left her other siblings and sat down next to her brother, leaning her much larger body into his side. "Owl'it. Whats the matta'? You can 'ell me. If its abou' Ma and Pa, then they're bein' stupid and it 'aint your faul'. No way is i' your faul'." She said fiercely.
