Feathersong frowned at the young tom's tone; he didn't seem very worried at all, when he was so very close to the cliff. The molly didn't say anything other than a chirpy, "Alright, then," but paid much more attention to Featherpaw. The young molly sat up, that way she would be able to spring into action quicker should the apprentice stumble. He seemed to be studying the ground, and she wondered what could be so interesting about it that he'd risk being harmed. Sure, it wasn't a giant drop- but it was big enough for the smaller cat to be seriously injured, and she didn't want him to break a leg. That would delay his training, and from her own experience she knew that the young 'paw would want to become a warrior as fast as possible.

"No, it's not stable," Feathermist agreed calmly. "Come on, Featherpaw, we should stay away- I don't want you slipping down and breaking a leg." The molly started to back away, but refused to move too much in case Featherpaw slipped into the large ditch. Of course, he most likely wouldn't die if that happened- unless he hit his head. But she didn't want to risk it. She wondered what had caused the young tom to wander over to this part of the camp, anyways.

Feathersong watched the apprentice back away and went to join him, however part of the earth bordering the drop off crumbled away, leaving the young warrior to slip down. A yowl of surprise escaped her as she scrabbled at the earth with her claws, trying to prevent herself from falling down. She managed to keep herself from falling but only by her paws, and couldn't get herself back up. "Featherpaw?" She called worriedly; she really didn't want to wind up in the medicine cat's den with a twisted paw- or a broken one. "I can't get up!"

Feathersong was reluctant in letting one of her paws go- she felt that without the support of both paws, she'd slip and fall. But she was only sinking further back into the steep section of camp, so she eventually raised her paw and hoped that the apprentice would be strong enough to pull her back up.

Feathersong let out a breath of relief once all four of her paws were back on the ground, rather than dangling in the air. "Thanks, Featherpaw," she meowed gratefully, trembling slightly from adrenaline. Daringly peeking over the fall, she felt a bit of embarrassment. It really wasn't that bad, not life threatening at least. But still she was grateful to the apprentice for saving her from an injured leg. "Let's get away from here," the molly suggested, eagerly scrambling away into a more level-grounded area of the camp.
