(Tell me if I’m powerplaying)

Duskfern slid to the right. The apprentice landed in that spot, getting up. She always saw warriors training their apprentices. Looked like a waste of time. Hm.. she thought to herself with a twinkle of amusement in her blue eye. This could be fun.
”Again. And this time, take advantage of your speed!”

Webpaw ran at her, faster this time, and leapt again. "How was that?" she asked. This reminded her of what the apprentice said about fighting Dawnstar, and this made her less nervous about learning fighting first. She realized that in Shadowclan, fighting was clearly the most important skill. If you weren't good enough, Dawnstar would give you some pretty serious injuries during your final assessment.

Leopardstrike led Paprikapaw to the training cliffs, stalking through the forest on silent step. She was a reserved warrior, but kept her senses sharp as they traversed the deep pine forests to the eroded cliffsides. Leopardstrike leapt effortlessly onto a stone outcropping and turned to face her apprentice, golden eyes bright, "Now," the senior warrior announced, "Before we begin, answer this question for me--what do you believe sets a ShadowClan warrior apart from a warrior from any other clan?"

She looked around at the cliffs new smells and sights clinging to her nose.
Then looking up at her a bit startled by the sudden meow she meowed
Ummm....
the she-cat had to think to her. It was being strong but was that the right answer. Her mouth opened as she meowed
Being the most strong and powerful cat in the clan but, I don’t now if I can do that.
she looked up at her mentor still grinning.

Leopardstrike offered a rare chuff of amusement, regarding the fluffy apprentice with clever amber eyes, "You would think so, wouldn't you?" she responded. Leopardfang leapt down from the ledge, landing neatly on all four paws, using her lengthy tail to balance herself, "Being strong is an advantage, yes. But our advantage over the other clans is our cleverness. Do not worry about lacking strength, or speed, those things will come. But cleverness...if you can become a quick thinking warrior, you will never lose a battle. In our training, we will hone your strength, your speed...but most importantly, I will give you a repertoire of tools to use against your enemy. Tools to outsmart them. Now--" the fearsome she-cat circled Paprikapaw, her tattered ears fixed on the apprentice, "Show me a basic battle stance. Whatever you've got, I want to see it. Imagine you have just heard Dawnstar announce 'ShadowClan, attack!' Show me the posture you believe will keep you on all four paws if a warrior comes charging your way."

The she-ca nodded. But wasn’t strength important. It didn’t matter. Hearing what she said she leapt and pressed her ears back making her fur all fluffed out making her look 2 timed bigger. She began to growl bared her teeth and had her front to paws a little more down then her back. She unsheathed her claws and, while growling couldn’t help but strike a grin. She fought the urge to just burts out laughing/

Leopardstrike quirked a brow in amusement, tail flicking idly behind her, "A solid start. I am never one to begrudge a good battle face. Now--" she placed a paw between Paprikapaw's forepaws and spread them a few inches apart, "Keep your stance wide, that will make you much harder to unbalance. And bend your legs just a bit--stay wide and low, that will anchor you to the ground. Imagine your paws are great stones, weighting your body to the earth. Whenever the enemy moves to unbalance you, sink all your weight through your legs--become solid, like a tree." she explained.

Leopardstrike shot the apprentice a withering look but nodded in agreement, "Good. Now, transfer all of your weight to your hind paws, and lift your forepaws from the ground without losing your balance. The rear is a battle posture that gives you a height advantage over a charging enemy." She explained sharply, assessing the apprentice's stance.

”Better,” she admitted, “Can you do the same thing, but knock me over.?” she challenged Webpaw. “And you’re allowed to use multiple battle moves!”
Duskfern looked at the determined apprentice. She reminded her of her own time as an apprentice. You did anything to become a warrior. She smiled at this thought.
“Come on, now!”
