I think i'm just about the strongest warrior there is. He thought smugly. Then again there was always his brother, who seemed to match him in everything - Except height. It annoyed him to no end that Robinstorm was slightly taller than him. Hawkstorm was supposed to be the "older" brother, despite them being littermates. Hawkstorm was supposed to protect Robinstorm. Supposed to keep him out of trouble, right? Well with how tall and strong his brother seemed, Hawkstorm highly doubted Robinstorm even needed protecting. Then again, his father had been the strongest there was - And now he was dead.

Thinking of his father sent icy waves of fury down Hawkstorm's spine, the fur there rippling angrily. It hadn't been fair to lose him like that - So soon after they'd all just been together again! It was just like it was with their mother, only Hawkstorm remembered her less clearly. Having them ripped away from him. Both of them. Leaving him and Robinstorm. Hawk didn't care how annoyed his brother got - He wasn't going to allow him such a fate. Without Robinstorm, Hawkstorm would have no real place anymore. No more real reason to live. Well, there was Raziel, but still. Robinstorm was his brother.

Speaking of which, where is the little devil anyway? Hawkstorm ripped his claws away from the tree, smirking at the small bits of wood that went flying, and whirled around to scan the clearing. He didn't see his brother, but he did see another cat just standing there, glancing around. For a moment Hawkstorm just watched. He'd never seen a cat so.. Out of place. Except maybe himself. Hawkstorm knew he didn't completely belong with other cats as a Clan. He was Clanborn and yet couldn't seem to accept it. He felt out of place, like he barely knew anybody. So, with a surprising sense of compassion, Hawkstorm could understand how the Tom felt. He rocked on his paws for a moment before finally padding forward. He was bored anyway, and needed someone to talk to... So, why not? "Hello there," Hawkstorm rumbled, a little awkwardly as he paused in front of Hiddenwing, allowing his gaze to run over the other Tom briefly before bringing intent green eyes back to his face. "I'm Hawkstorm." Smooth greeting. He thought with an annoyed flick of his tail, but his expression stayed completely calm.

Hiddenwing had begun to become a bit lost in his own mind while searching, gazing out at a random place with a somewhat thoughtful expression on his face when a voice piped up that broke him from his almost trance-like state. As he shifted his attention to the other time, his expression remained stoic and unchanging but his eyes gave him away. They gleamed a certain joy that only came with the prospect of a new friend, shining like sunlight reflecting from a clear blue puddle. But other than his eyes, he didn't show much emotion, not even the slightest twitch of the lips to give him away. To some looking at the tom, it was almost like a game, notice when his expression changes. it was a difficult feat, you'd have to look very carefully and watch closely because even when he was protecting a cat or when angry he didn't seem to look angry. But something made the corners of Hiddensun's lips curl up slightly when he began to speak to the newcomer, to Hawkstorm, he hadn't really noticed at the time but the black and white tom assumed he was actually happy that a cat had approached him.

"Wonderful to meet you, Hawkstorm." Hiddenwing dipped his head in greeting, his tail twitching as he continued. "I am Hiddenwing." He spoke his name proudly, with some sort of power. His name is what made him up, it was unique to him and told others he was a part of a clan. Starclan had looked down when he had received this name and, even if they had done it to every warrior in the clan, that was still very special to Hiddenwing. His name had meaning, something most kittypets and loners couldn't relate to, and this is what made him proud. He sometimes wondered if others felt as he did, taking pride in their names like he did and at that moment he wondered how Hawkstorm must feel of his name.

"What does your name mean to you?" He spoke his thoughts allowed, but he didn't really seem to notice. Even when he finally did realize it was him who had just spoken he did not show his surprise of having said what he thought and instead continued like he had planned it all along. "A name is different to many, to some it may just be something they are called, to others it is their whole being." He seemed to be veering into his own head, looking off at seemingly nothing. "To me, it is my personality, no one else has a name like me and even if they did their name would not mean the same thing as it does to me." His voice was steady and slightly quiet, yet powerful and convincing. As he finished speaking he broke from his thoughts and shifted his gaze back to the other tom.

His voice was steady and slightly quiet, yet powerful and convincing. As he finished speaking he broke from his thoughts and shifted his gaze back to the other tom.

Hawkstorm nodded, giving the smallest of smiles to see Hiddenwing's eyes light up. It kind of amused him, since the other Tom didn't seem to give away any other emotion. The black Tom stretched slightly, ears flicking. "It's always wonderful to meet me." He boasted with a flick of his tail, before his green eyes flashed with something much more genuine. "It's nice to meet you, too, Hiddenwing." He added kindly, tilting his head. Hawkstorm had learned not to trust other cats. He'd been taught not to trust other cats. Because of what happened to his mother - Then his father - Hawkstorm was wary around any other cat. But Hiddenwing didn't seem too bad. In some ways he reminded him of Raziel.

Hawkstorm realized he was staring, and quickly drew his gaze away. However it didn't last very long before Hiddenwing spoke at that moment, redirecting his attention right back to the other Tom. Curious green eyes met Hiddenwing's, ears pricking, head tilting with that look he got when he didn't understand something. Even when Hiddenwing explained what a name meant. Then, another look sparked in his eyes, some memory, and the smile withered away, the confused look dropping. He remembered his mother. It came in flashes often, the memories, and this was one of them. His mother bending over them, nuzzling the top of his head, then Robinstorm's. "You're both very, very special, my little boys. I'll name you Hawkkit... And you, Robinkit. Two special birds - Who won't be tied down to anything, and will fly free into the sky... Together."

Hawkstorm's tongue passed reluctantly over his lips, his gaze dropping to his paws. His mother. That's what his name meant to him. But of course, Hawkstorm could never - Ever say that. Not to a cat he barely knew anyway. Not yet. He wasn't going to let his guard down like that. Wasn't going to let him in so easy. Wasn't going to look vulnerable. Not in front of him, not in front of anyone. "It's just a name." Hawkstorm's voice had a slightly cold edge to it, but softened slightly as he looked back up. "It's just what im called. Doesn't mean anything." He broke his gaze to look around the clearing again, as if searching for Robinstorm, then brought his eyes back to Hiddenwing silently.

Hiddenwing titled his head to the side, having a slightly confused expression after the other spoke but he felt he shouldn't ask anything more on the topic. He had noticed the look in the other's eyes, and even a half-deaf kit could hear the edge in the other's tone. He could tell that pointing this out might put him in a bit of trouble but he still felt a need to question. But at this time he assumed he should thoroughly think through his actions as to not lose this possible friend, did the other want to be his friend?

He left into his own head at that question, how does he know that the other tom wanted to be friends and it wasn't just some other reason which was why the other was talking to him. The other could possibly just be bored, not caring about the conversation at all, or maybe he pitied Hiddenwing and was just trying to give the lonely cat some attention. On the other hand, maybe he actually did want to be friends but Hiddenwing was ruining it. These thoughts lead him to think some more. What was the reason for friends, exactly?

He shook his head to clear his thoughts, looking back at the other, looking into his eyes with a slightly thoughtful look. "I suppose it is." He replied though it was not how he wanted to. He wanted to insist there must be something deeper to his name, maybe his parents once told him why they gave him his name, or maybe part of his name connected him to another cat he was close to. "But you will always be called it so maybe you should think one up." He took a moment, as he spoke, to really look the other over. Looks could tell a lot about a cat and something told Hiddenwing that Hawkstorm had a lot to tell.

Hawkstorm gave Hiddenwing a silent stare. The Tom seemed unconvinced by Hawkstorm's response, but luckily didn't push him on it. Hawkstorm flicked his tail and sighed, allowing the fur on his shoulders to flatten slightly, though he hadn't been aware it was bristling. He fell silent now, looking at Hiddenwing. He liked the Tom - He had to admit it. He didn't like many other cats, but Hiddenwing seemed a bit different. He seemed like he could definitely be a friend of his. Maybe. And maybe in the future he'd feel comfortable enough to tell him what his name really meant. But for now... Not yet.

His words had Hawkstorm's head tilting. "Think up one." He muttered, frowning as he flicked his ears. He wasn't sure he wanted to do that. But after some thinking, Hawkstorm finally spoke. "I guess... It would be how close I am to my brother. His name is Robinstorm. We're both named after birds, and we both have storm in our names. So, I guess that's it." He decided, gazing at Hiddenwing. It had been closer to the truth than he had wanted. Really it was also how close he was to his mother. His mother who was dead. But he wasn't willing to reveal such information to a stranger yet. "So yeah." He sighed, green eyes narrowing, but not in a hostile way. He seemed more like he was studying Hiddenwing more, curious, really.

(No, he was only suppose to be obnoxious and erritating, but since he's in his 50's (moons not years), he's kinda out-grown it)
He was silent," You win, unless you are torn apart, okay, no kits are worse....actually no, watching rouges pin everyone in the clan down and treat them like how rouges treat prey, pinning them down and eating them alive, which I guess is canibalism and not being killed yourself."
