Re: ⭐ PUPPY CHOW! ⭐
@RedHead
She had already cleaned his wounds, put dandelion and the last of the goldenrod on them, and cobwebbed them. The goldenrod wouldn't do anything but numb his wounds. She would need to get a disinfenctant on them quickly. What could she do? He had lost a lot of blood. What to do about that? She didn't know. Otterstone didn't have training other then that small amount she had in Shadowclan. She could fix this... she could fix this... This was all she could do. Otterstone came to the realization. She didn't have any other herbs, just the dandelions and spiderwebs that lay scattered at her paws. What could she do... Nothing. Rest seemed like a good idea for the tom, but she had also heard about cats dying in their sleep while injured as badly as he was. All she could do was wait, and watch all of the cats that she had started to heal. Emberfang and Quailsnap worried her the most. "I'm going to try something Quailears. It's gonna hurt like the dark forest." She scrabbled around for the last stalk of goldenrod that hadn't been chewed up, and made it into a clean poultice, almost just juices. "Open your eyes." She said softly. Goldenrod. Disinfectant, Soothes wounds, and encourages fast healing... This was a gamble, but it's all she could think of. "I'm going to put some herb juices in your eyes. It should help. If you want to scream go ahead and do it." |
Re: ⭐ PUPPY CHOW! ⭐
@Starbot It was hard fighting in an unfamiliar camp, she knew nearly every pebble, dirt patch, grass of blade and whatever else there was in the Riverclan clearing, but here it was... Unfamiliar. It made backing up difficult, a sharp stone sliced her paw pad as she landed hard with one of her back steps. Hissing out in pain, the coyote went lunging for her in her moment of weakness. But it was Gentlethunder who came to her rescue, flying through the air to ram into the mutt as it went lunging for the molly, catching it off balance and sending it rolling, once, twice, before it had to jump to its paws. That was fine, that was time for Cobaltshade to shake off the pain, giving an appreciative nod to the tom. "Stepped on a bad rock, but I'll be fine for now. Thank you." Clearing her throat, she lashed her tail and braced herself again, facing down the coyote as it barked and went bounding for the both of them. Cobaltshade would leap to the side, yelling, "Split!" to Gentlethunder. It would be hard for the dog to focus on two targets that were in two different directions. But it still seemed to be focusing on her. She would need Gentlethunder to attack from behind before she could do anything serious. Back to backpedaling and feinting attacks to try and keep its snapping jaws away from her. |
Re: ⭐ PUPPY CHOW! ⭐
The warrior hopped back as the Coyote went tumbling. He didn't realize his sideram held that much force to it. Sure felt like it though his side was throbbing. "Happy to hear. Glad to see a warrior actually fighting rather than kissing up to Otterstone, hoping they'd make them the next medicine cat apprentice...or that she'd take on two. Bunch of idiots. Dumbasses." he spat. But before he could go on a bigger ranting spree the ugly dog came back. The second the order came from the Mollie's maw Gentlethunder flung himself to the side, landing a little wonky on his front paws before twirling a little bit so he was facing the dog. For some reason it had an odd facination with Colbaltshade, it ticked Gentlethunder off. Tensing his muscles the Calliby shot forward towards the canine trying to get a good running start before leaping up to latch onto the Coyotes flank. Sinking his claws in he began to tug. A snicker coming from the warrior. "Whatdya do to make it so angry at you?" he laughed. @The Cannibal |

Try something? Well, he supposed it was better than nothing. And she was the medicine cat, so he was going to trust her. Though as she mentioned screaming, Quailsnap tried to give an offended grunt. He was a warrior. He wouldn't scream. With great difficulty, the tom raised his head and opened his eyes, trying his hardest not to blink as the air came and stung the wounds. He swallowed the whine that had been coming up though. Everything looked blurry. Like, the color was still there, but it was all mushed together into one big mess. But the tom kept his eyes open, awaiting to see the treatment that Otterstone would give. And to try with all his might not to scream. @CheetahPelt |
Re: ⭐ PUPPY CHOW! ⭐
Halfstone yowled as the coyote began pulling him, tail and spine alight with pain. He turned and tried to bite any part of its face he could. He caught its eye and it shrieked, letting go of him and batting him away with its paw, clocking him on the head and knocking him onto his butt, his ear now bleeding and blood dripping into his eye. The coyote stumbled as blood pooled into its eyes.
Halfstone hobbled to Otterstone and kept his only good eye out for more of the fur bags. He already felt guilty that he failed to help Wormbite and then immediately Brightwhisker, who he had been told to help with the injured. He wasn't sure he could find Omenshade in this chaos. @CheetahPelt |
Re: ⭐ PUPPY CHOW! ⭐
@Starbot As much as she wanted to reply to Gentlethunder, Cobaltshade found that talking and fighting didn't work too well together. It messed up her breathing and also messed up her concentration. Snap! Inches from her feinting paw. That's why she didn't reply right away. It was odd wasn't it? That it seemed so focused on her, the thought hadn't occurred to her, but now she was thinking about it in the back of her mind. Her thoughts briefly went back to her younger years, 'Coyotes love the smell of cat blood', the saying from some random older apprentice. Maybe it was true. Didn't matter too much now though. The coyote's back right thigh was still bleeding from the wound Cobaltshade had originally been able to land so when Gentlethunder leaped and sunk his claws into the mutt's flanks, it let out a sharp yelp of pain, the back right leg buckling slightly from the weight and pain, stopping its assault of Cobaltshade. Fueled by pain and anger, it would snap its upper-half around with gnashing jaws, it's lowerhalf yanking hard to the left as it twisted to both try and throw the male warrior off, and bite at him. "I think they like cat blood," the molly would finally respond. She would take the opportunity of the coyote trying to bite and throw Gentlethunder off to rake her claws cleanly across it's unguarded shoulder. |

Omenshade noticed the two cats approaching fast and raised their head to acknowledge Wormbite and Goosepaw, tail tip flicking as their presence was explained. They shook their head and then said, "I have cobwebs. Only cobwebs. I grabbed what I knew, and I'm afraid I couldn't even tell you what celandine is." They weren't cautious about admitting a lack of knowledge and training, it was unfortunate in this situation but reflected on Otterstone's ability as a mentor. "I don't believe there's anything I can do for you. Tell Otterstone's patient that my sympathies are with them..." They were a master of keeping emotions in check but felt frustration bubble beneath the surface of their pelt, why hadn't Otter bothered to spread her training? Or bring an adequate assortment of herbs, if nothing else. |

In his anger, Lionstar had failed to watch the action's of his opponent. Despite the flurry of blows he had given the coyote, the coyote made a desperate lunge after it flanked him, and he could feel its sharp teeth tear into his skin, ripping away a chunk of flesh.
Hissing he thrashed like a snake, claws tearing across the eyes of the coyote. It released him instantly, fleeing into the moor. It took every inch of his self-restraint to not pursue it, to chase it down and make it pay for hurting Fawnsqueak.. but he didn't, claws scuffing the soft dirt as he turned his attention back to the clearing. Fawn was gone.... probably home, so that meant he needed to tend to the rest of his Clan. Seeing Gentlethunder and Cobaltshade, Lionstar decided to join their fray. With a running start, Lionstar sprang onto the back of the coyote while it was distracted by Jerkboob and Cobaltshade, digging his claws into its fur while his teeth went for its neck. "No, you can't. Here." She took a swipe at the coyote's nose, and bashed it once more before rushing over. She took a place behind him. "Start moving. I'll cover you from behind-this way, I can see all around you, and if something comes up behind us, you can get to safety." |
Re: ⭐ PUPPY CHOW! ⭐
Gentlethunder didn't have time to avoid the snapping of the jaws, the mutt sunk it's teeth into his side which made the Warrior yelp in pain. Luckily for his side, it was a minor scrape, decently deep enough but nothing he had to worry about now. Narrowly missing the second snap at his soft sides Gentlethunder let out a wheeze. "I can't do much damage back here aim for it's fa-" he was cut off, however, by a golden butt suddenly in his face. It took a few moment's to realize who it was. "Hey you jerk don't steal my thunder!" he huffed. However as his attention was elsewhere Gentlethunder's grip on the Coyote loosened and he fell off, landing harshly on the ground. "Damn." he wheezed. Picking himself back up the Warrior ran up to Cobaltshade, "A well that's a bit of a problem. You're full of it." he huffed, a bit of amusement in his voice. Anything to distract him from the idiot's he just dealt with was welcome. @The Cannibal @BILL. |
