Re: Cattail Pond
[ @gs29513 ]
Rushingmoor watched as Skunkblaze took it upon herself to do who know what before Buckbranch had a chance to respond and he narrowed his eyes. Twilightstar has explicitly said to wait for the ok from Buckbranch and he could only imagine the added irritation of having another clan’s warriors running amok without his permission. He felt for the tom, as all of Windclan who had lived through the coyote attack should, and he knew he’d be miffed if some Thunderclan warriors just started tromping around his injured clan mates. Not to mention the disrespect she was showing Twilightstar by disregarding her words. Raising a brow, Rushingmoor spoke coldly to the warrior- choosing not to snap and undermine her before the other clan. “I believe it would be best to wait for Buckbranch’s permission before we go flitting about among his clan mates- as Twilightstar said.” The tom’s tail flicked behind him and he gave her an icy look. |

[ @Moonraven @Beau @Starfall @Cobralily @hope @Estelle @elysian @Sparkling Flower @Elementals @gs29513 ] ----Buckbranch---- Buckbranch waved his tail at Robinpaw in greeting and gave the apprentice a small smile. Rushingmoor surprised him with the offer AND the fact that his name was known to the WindClan tom, and he opened his jaws to acknowledge him, but then Twilightstar began to address him once more. Prey? He glanced over the group once more, only just now noticing the food each cat held in their jaws. He offered Twilightstar a grateful look. "That's much appreciated. I don't think ThunderClan would be able to live off of mostly fish, even if just for a little while. Thank you." As she offered to have her group deliver the prey to the resting cats, he felt his knees buckle a little beneath him. Yes, he was exhausted, but he hadn't realized it was so obvious. "That would be wonderful," he rasped, voice hitching as he fought back a smokey cough. "Can you make sure they get food to the kits and queens first? I think the young ones are the most shaken up about this whole disaster." He returned Firesong's nod with his own, and then his eyes flashed toward Skunkblaze as the she-cat suddenly rushed over to Ivorypaw, His fur spiked momentarily before Rushingmoor stepped in. "A chance to catch my breath. I'll gladly take you up on that offer." He turned his head over his shoulder to wave his tail at Icekit [ @kieryn ], who would hopefully see the instruction and understand that it meant to follow him. |

Lionpaw was unsure of what to do. Everyone had something going on, too many of cats were hurt, and why were there three clans all in the same place? It smelled horrible here, like fish and blood and still-smoldering ashes and flowers rolled all into one. The golden tom was tempted to just roll up into a ball and hide until this was all over. He'd joined ThunderClan for protection, but perhaps he had been better off as a loner. He couldn't leave now; couldn't run - he didn't want to become a rogue. If he ran, then he doubted that the clans would allow him to join again. Suddenly, Lionpaw caught a familiar white pelt in the crowd. "Frostpaw!" the golden tom called out in relief. Finally, someone he knew. Dashing over to the molly; the apprentice sat down in front of her. "You're hurt," Lionpaw stated the obvious. Frostpaw's paws looked bad - really bad. Her tail was a bit charred, and despite the circumstances, Lionpaw couldn't help but point out, "Ha, our tails are both singed." Right - he had forgotten about his own injuries until then. The abyssinian's tail was a bit scorched near the tip. The pain was raw and it definitely hurt, but it wasn't something that he'd never dealt with before. Lionpaw's hindlegs were also a bit charred near the back, but it was nothing compared to what other cats had gone through. |
Re: Cattail Pond
Snailswirl was a little overwhelmed. Their gray-green eyes couldn’t take in everything going on, and their nose was absolutely confused. Smoke, fish, and heather all collided more so than any gathering. It was so loud — they could barely hear themself think! The bicolor cat felt a stress headache coming on. Deciding to stick with who they knew, Snail took their rabbit and wandered around, looking for... well, someone. Whoever was hungry enough to grab their prey and bite into it. "Uhm," they said, visibly uncomfortable. "Anyone want a ... rabbit?" awkward. Hhh. But someone would take it, hopefully soon.

He was... Okay. And hurt. “Lionpaw!” Tears were streaming down her cheeks, and Frostpaw almost leaped into the warm fur of her clanmate. She had be worried about, home, since there was only a few cats who had interacted with Frostpaw in a positive way, where she could be worried about them. Like Bristlepelt, Snowsky, Cherrybubble, Lionpaw..... “Your hurt..” She slowly drifted her paws along his tail, pausing when she got to the tip. “Does this hurt? Do you need help? Herbs? Anything?” her mew was growing desperate, and Frostpaw could do little to keep the fear and desperation out of her voice. Ears pinned against her head, Frostpaw pulled away and went back to glazing over the crowd. She had carefully positioned herself where her paw was lifted up, so it wouldn’t get more hurt, though fire felt like it had embedded itself in it. “Do you know where everyone else is...?” |

Re: Cattail Pond
@Moonraven @Beau @Starfall @Cobralily @hope @Slushie @elysian @Sparkling Flower @Elementals @gs29513
With a rabbit between her paws, Hailpaw listened to the two speaking, glancing between Twilightstar and Buckbranch. The Thunderclanner did indeed look tired.. All of them did. Soon enough what she assumed was an okay from both to give the prey to anyone who wanted and needed it came-- however before going she looked around for the cat who was supposed to watch after her, and who apparently already went his way. Okay, probably not exactly how that was supposed to go but she could take care of herself, so it didn't really matter to her. bending down to pick up her rabbit Hailpaw this time looked around for kits, queens or anyone who may want it. That being unsuccessful on the spot, she went to walk around a little. Goodness were these scents starting to get overwhelming.. Everything was quite unorganised as well and just all in all a big mess; but what could she expect? Not much differently, that was sure. After a little bit of walking, the silver molly decided to approached one or more cats from Thunder. Just as the tom from before had asked, she did slightly keep an extra eye out for any kits or queens specifically, and elders on her own note, though she wasn't planning on turning down any warriors or apprentices just because of that, all deserved and needed this after all! "excuse me," She started politely "Would anyone like this rabbit?" It was a simple question really, and she had made sure to put the animal down first so her voice wouldn't sound all muffled, but nevertheless she did feel a little nervous asking it; mainly because it was to a completely different clan and cats she had never even seen before, yet thrived to hide that small feeling of discomfort. @Moonraven @Beau @Starfall @Cobralily @hope @Slushie @elysian @Sparkling Flower @Elementals @gs29513 Honeypaw had nodded his head at Skunkblaze, and quickly turned on his heels to grab a Vole and followed the group. He was a bit of a straggler, feeling a little winded while the majority of his clanmates made their way through the moors and grassy hills with ease. None of them even bat an eye when they began to go uphill. But when he finally managed to get there he sat down with a huff, and a wheeze. Placing his prey on the ground before melting into a puddle of chub and fluff. The tan feline didn't even have a second to catch his breath before everyone was up and handing out food! "Oh yes! yes yes yes food. They need food probably water but food. Food's nice." he babbled to himself as he picked himself up and made his way forwards. "Oh! My food I brought food as well. Don't forget that." he scolded as he quickly turned around, picked up his vole, than once again made his way towards the group of Thunderclanners. "erm. If anyone needs it, I have a Vole here! Just. um. Just raise a paw...or something that may not hurt, and I'll come to you!" Open for TC Interaction! |

The Apprentices ear's quivered as he heard his name get called from an unfamiliar voice, and he was surprised when he was met with an unfamiliar face. How in the world had she known his name? Tennitively he made his way over to the molly, and gently dropped the vole off in front of the Thunderclanner. "erm. Here you are! I'm sorry but uhm, how did you know my name? I don't believe we've met." he chuckled shyly. Surely no one was talking about him right? He hadn't actually done anything noteworthy so he highly doubted it. Unless it was mean stuff? Re: Cattail Pond
Twilightstar watches, mildly amused with how quickly Mushy is to jump down Skunkblaze's throat the second she steps out of line. Good, she could leave him in charge while she chats with Buckbranch. He could serve as her right paw for the duration of the trip. "Rushingmoor, try and keep everything organized somewhat and watch over our clanmates, I don't want any trouble. Keep an eye on Skunkblaze, Moonpaw and Creekpaw." She meowed to the tom, the three of them seemed to have some sort of bug up their butts, she had no clue what they were making fusses for. It might be more Moonpaw then Creekpaw, but still. If ThunderClan is staying here, she'd suggest helping build some makeshift dens for sleeping in, but she was sure Rushingmoor would figure that out himself. "No hunting, Firesong, this isn't our territory." She adds to the she-cat before turning away. "Oh? Who's this?" Twilightstar asked as a kit came and attached herself to Buckbranch's side. His kit maybe, she certainly seemed to like the tom. Grabbing the weasel, the WindClan leader beckons the pair to follow her over towards the small pond where she took a seat and set the food on the ground. "Eat if you're hungry." She adds, wrapping her tail around her paws. @Slushie @Beau @Cobralily |
Re: Cattail Pond
@cloudii Sycamorerain let out a huff of relief. Snowmist was here. Everything was alright now. "Yep, I'm pretty sure it's Cattail Pond." Despite the recent events, he tried to squeeze a bit of amusement on his face. Right now, he'd take anything over remembering that scene over and over in his head. "My leg is fine... sort of. It hurts to put pressure on it, yet I can still move it, and I may be no medicine cat, but I'm pretty sure nothing is broken. Just extremely bruised and swollen, I think. I'm just glade we're here together. And the rest of the clan too, of course." With all the emotions they'd been through at this point... he was fairly sure that his feelings from that day back Thunderglade were confirmed. There was something about her... about their relationship... that made him yearn to be... more than just friends. Snowmist was the closest he'd ever been to any cat. It would be nice to spend the rest of their lives together. "Snowmist... can... can I tell you... something? He took a deep breath. "Actually, nevermind... it can wait until later." Gah. So close. Part of him really wanted to let her know. But... the other part of him felt it wasn't the right time for... something like that. With the disaster the whole clan was subjected to... he decided it might be better if he waited until they eventually got settled into a new camp. But that wasn't the only thing keeping him from doing it. No. That was just a part of the equation. There was also the fear of... rejection. What if she didn't like him back in that way? What would happen to their close friendship? He couldn't bear to think of that. No. It was decided. He'd simply wait until they found a new camp. Which would hopefully give him enough time to prep himself for the big moment. |

Re: Cattail Pond
With his patrol debriefed on what they were doing, Lionstar limped across the territory to Cattail Pond. Walking still sucked.. and he was irked when he saw Duskstar and Softbriar hadn't made it here.
Hell, Softbriar couldn't even be damned to help an injured Clan-mate in need after they were called out on their behavior. It was making Lionstar wish Flinthead was here-- he at least would've been on top of ThunderClan's well-being! "Russetstrike, Stingpaw--" he directed two of his companions, "get started on making a temporary nursery. The kits need to be prioritized first. Sunpaw, you can join me and work on building a larger den to house any injured." They didn't need to make a full-on camp, but a few dens to separate and shelter cats would be good. Once they were done, they could make a third den for those who weren't very injured.. keep those who needed space to heal away from extra clutter. He noticed the WindClan crew but didn't bother thinking much on it: it looked like they were here to help, and if they wanted to volunteer with the den construction, they were welcome to. If only Duskstar or Softbriar cared enough about these cats to be present in this time of need. He felt like he told them both to be leaders ages ago. "Having fun over there?" he called to her and Buckyboy as he passed by them to collect some reeds from around the pond. [ @wren, @Wings, @Shimm, @Slushie, @Moonraven ] |

|:| @Slushie; |:| Linnetwing finally made it to Cattail Pond alongside Stoneneedle. The molly couldn't help, but wonder about how long they would be here for. She nearly just came back and already a tragedy had hit. She settled down in a spot. Her paws felt like they were on fire and she was glad to rest. Linnetwing used her tail to beckon him over. "Finally some time to rest my paws. They ache so much.", she meowed. |

[ @kieryn @Moonraven ] ----Buckbranch---- Buckbranch stiffened in surprise when he felt something brush against his belly and bent his head to look. A wobbly smile touched his muzzle when he saw that is was only Icekit, and very carefully, moved himself so that he was no longer standing over her and in danger of accidentally squashing her. "This is Icekit," he explained. "I'm... not sure where her mother is, or her father, for that matter. An apprentice dropped her at my paws and then took off. The poor thing's deaf." He touched his nose gently to Icekit's ear as an invitation to follow him and Twilightstar before following after the WindClan leader. At the offer to eat, he settled onto his belly and tucked into the weasel, eyes lighting up in pleasant surprise at the taste, before tearing off another smaller chunk and pushing it over to Icekit. He glanced over at Lionstar as the golden leader passed them and give him a polite nod, then turned back to Twilightstar. "Again, I want to thank you for taking the time to assist us. It was unexpected but, but we appreciate it." [ @Sparkling Flower ] ----Stonenettle---- "Sit down, then," he murmured to her. "Chances are we won't get another opportunity to anytime soon." Stonenettle sank to his paws next to her with an exhausted sigh, only just now realizing that his body was shaking; whether it was from fear or adrenaline, he couldn't tell. "Let's hope ShadowClan doesn't decide to get wrapped up in this, too," he grunted. "WindClan and RiverClan is enough help." ----Honeybear---- The permanent queen managed to find a seat in the shade of the reeds with a grateful sigh. Re: Cattail Pond
[ @BILL. @Starfall @Cobralily @hope @Estelle @elysian @Sparkling Flower @Elementals @gs29513 ]
Rushingmoor blinked when Twilightstar asked him to keep things organized and he nodded. He hadn’t exactly expected Twiggy to turn to him, Mushy, for organization but perhaps she felt that he who organized kidnappings and coups could also organize relief efforts. The warrior nodded and gave Buckbranch a sympathetic smile and another nod before stepping away to let them talk. The striped warrior took a moment to look over the gathered cats. They would need more than just food. Assuming they would be remaining here until the damage was assessed to their camp and territory, they would need nests and dens- especially if it started raining again. Just as that thought came to him, Lionstar appeared with a few Riverclanners to do just that. He opened his maw to speak when Skunkblaze jumped on him and Rushingmoor frowned. “I told you to stop because we had yet to secure Buckbranch’s permission to romp around his camp- no matter how make shift this place is it is the resting spot of his clan mates, who’ve been through a lot today, and a place which he is in charge of. Now that we have his ok- yes, you can go assist Lionstar. In fact, I was about to suggest that more than one of us go. Distribute your food and once you have relinquished the last of the prey you carry, come to me. I’ll send you over to Lionstar to help.” With that, Rushingmoor flicked his tail and walked away, wanting to talk to Lionstar about his clan mates coming to help. He carried his rabbits over to the Riverclan leader and dropped them at his paws with a wave of his tail and a dip of his head. “Lionstar- Windclan is here to help as well as Riverclan, as you can see. I’ve told the other warriors to drop off food and then come to assist your cats. What is your plan for den construction? Once I send enough cats over to assist your warriors, I can set them to building other dens.” It wasn’t until after he was finished speaking that Rushingmoor realized that Lionstar wouldn’t know his name. Oh well, it was too late to shove that in now. That was when he caught sight of a cat who didn’t belong. Even among the scents of three clans, he could tell this cat was of none of them. Stiffening, Rushingmoor excused himself from Lionstar for a moment. “Excuse me for one second.” The warrior stalked over to the rock where this loner seemed to be... lounging? What was she doing here? Rushingmoor stopped before her and thrashed his tail. “Hey, you! [ @~Fox~ ] What are you doing here?” |
Re: Cattail Pond
Skunkblaze was glad that Rushingmoor wasn't going to be to proud, or whatever to accept her suggestion, although it probably had been banging around in his mind. Dropping her rabbit on the ground in front of some of the queens and kits, she bounded over to Rushingmoor and Lionstar's patrol. She stood behind Rushingmoor, but stiffened as he confronted the loner. Her claws unsheathed, she was ready to back him up if need be. He might be a furball sometimes, but he was her clanmate, and he was in charge right now, so she had too. Do you have something for me to do now? the molly asked Rushingmoor. @Beau @BILL.
