Re: WindClan Nursery
"Your mentor, I can't say for sure. Twilightstar will decide but I'm sure they'll be a great warrior." Leopardsong's never been picky about mentors for her kits. She trusted Twilightstar to pick out good cats and if not they could always be reassigned. The WindClan leader's been doing this for a long time and Leopardsong didn't think it was her place to demand certain cats train the kits. "Train will probably start as difficult, but you'll be used to it quickly. You'll be sore for a little as you build up muscle and get used to all the work expected of you, but it'll be rewarding in the long run." Leopardsong told him. "Yes, I went through the same training you did and served as a WindClan warrior for some time. Twilightstar decided I was a better fit as a forever queen than a warrior since I was pretty good with kits. I'm quite happy where I am right now." It wasn't the full story, but summed up how she got into her current rank. "Oh, yes, you'll be a warrior once you finish training. All cats become warriors once their training is complete unless StarClan decides to guide your paws to a different path, like Rabbitpaw. But you don't have to worry about that, Clans normally have only two medicine cats at a time. I doubt Lightingstorm will be looking for a new medicine cat soon." She chuckled softly. "Cottonkit!" Leopardsong purred softly as she spotted the white kit. He was usually out exploring or making friends, so their time together was little. But who was she to stand in the way of his growth and friendship? The absence merely made her grow fonder of the kit. "Come, come," The queen called the kit over to her nest with a flicker of her tail. "Where you've been?" She asked once he joined her in her nest. She leaned down to cover the kitten in affectionate licks. "Have you been having fun?" He had gotten quite big. Leopardsong knew he'd be moving out of the nursery very soon, and so was Ashkit. It made her a little sad, but proud at the same time. They'd be apprentices first and then warriors, seeing the kits grow into strong independent cats was the best gift that she could be given. |

“Can you tell me more about StarClan?” Asked Ashkit. He had heard of this clan but didn’t know what it was. There were a lot of things Ashkit didn’t know about, having been an outsider before. That was still a problem sometimes, but it happened less and less often as his knowledge about clan life grew bigger and bigger. { Leopardsong - @/Moonraven } |

https://warriorcatsonline.com/forums...ictureid=41725 | Snowybreeze | 30 Moons - WindClan Warrior Heightened Perception [Smell] - Active | Rapid Recovery - Inactive | The Collector - Inactive | Not Skiddin' Around - Active Oh. Oh dear. Oh this had gotten out of paw very, very quickly. It seemed that, while entirely well meaning, his sweet daughter had accidentally misunderstood the entire situation! Poor Cardinalkit was always quick to defend her family if she thought they were in danger. He would need to teach her that there was nothing to fear from clanmates! Because... goodness! Clanmates were friends. They were family! And speaking of family... Oh no! No no no! Not his poor, gentle Seedkit! She was now crying! Over this slight. Well, to be fair... Snowybreeze did feel awfully self conscious the more Whistlekit spoke. The more Sedgekit looked around; towards the other adults for help, as if he wasn't sitting right here. It was clear neither saw him as competent enough to handle the situation... Which fair... he was the least competent cat in all of WindClan. But it still... hurt. Something rather fierce. Especially in front of his own kits. Because it made Seedkit cry. And Jaggedkit demand apologies. Which was... quite frankly making him very proud. Look at his little son! Showing a good understanding of manners and the proper etiquettes of speaking to others. Perhaps not desmonstrating said understanding with his own demands, but it was progress all the same! "E-enough. P-please. Kittens. There is. No need. To protect. Your papa. There is. No harm. Done. Please. It is. T-true. I... I cannot- I shouldn't...." he started, finding it difficult to continue before the one that kept insisting on mentioning his difficulties speaking, remembering with each jab how he should never speak. How he was beneath every other cat in the clan and his voice should never be heard by any of them. How he should just sit in a corner and be neither seen nor heard. Because he wasn't worth the time. The Maine Coon mix could feel it. His lungs crushing under the weight of his own existence. He was unable to breath. As if someone was standing over him, the sky glinting with maliciousness up above. It wasn't until he heard Cardinalkit's angry snarl that he recovered. Because whatever problems he had, his kits would not suffer over. Whatever faults and worthlessness he carried with him should never be something to burden them with. Instead, with heart still beating far harsher than he liked, he placed one gentle, massive paw over his daughter's head, barely gracing the little tuft of fur she had so clearly inherited from him to gain her attention. Pale green orbs of unbidden rage turned on him, challenging his authority - of which he frankly had none, he knew - for a moment before faltering. He wasn't sure why, but his daughter's ire seemed to melt away, returning only for a moment as she cried out in frustration over how Whistlekit and Sedgekit were in the wrong here. Over how they had disrespected him. Disrespected Strawberrykit... Over how they had made Seedkit cry. But it fizzled. Each accusation sounding slightly more uncertain than the rest as her anger abated, and the gentle giant dipped his head. Nuzzling her head affectionately even as she gave him a look of query. "I. Understand," he mewed in earnest. And truly, he did. Snowybreeze might not share his daughter's more violent need to protect the family, but he could understand the instinct all the same. Why, goodness... if something ever happened to his own kits. But this was all just a misunderstanding. Kits being kits. In need of learning. Perhaps now was the time to talk to his kits about what it meant to be a clan cat. About the respect that was given to their clanmates, even if what they said hurt you. Because... there were two sides to every story. What Whistlekit said was not a lie. It made him feel terrible, yes. But it was her right to say it. To remind him. He was a lesser feline, really. And if the queens who tended to her allowed it? Why... who was he to deny their authority on the matter? But his little ones would know better. They would know who to say what to. To channel that courage, passion, and obvious love they had for each other to protect not just their own little family but their entire clan. Oh... they would make magnificent warriors, he was sure! Slowly, he turned to Seedkit, nuzzling his sniffling daughter as well, providing a fatherly lick on her head before attempting to quietly guide them back towards their nest. "Come now. Little ones. Let's go. Back. To your. Littermates. And have. A talk. Alright? You too. Jaggedkit. We can. Tell. Frostkit. And. Strawberrykit. About this. Little. Adventure. My treasures. Alright?" he whispered as he nuzzled his son as well, slowly heading back towards their nest, away from the kits that kept accidentally insulting and demeaning his presence. He did not blame them... but he would get nowhere with his little ones in front of them, no matter how much he tried. @Omari [Seedkit] | @burntToast [Jaggedkit] | @Badwolf [Whistlekit -Sedgekit] | Right so, this is me bowing out of this rp. I am not as quick as other roleplayers, so any rp that doesn't have an established turn order and gets my characters unable to react through multiple interactions from another's I am afraid I simply cannot keep up with, apologies! Cardinalkit and Snowybreeze are out of this one, with Snowybreeze hopefully taking Jaggedkit and Seedkit along with him for a talk? I do plan on having Snowybreeze give Cardinalkit a talk to straight after this, though, so if either Seedkit or Jaggedkit want to be included in it let me know and I will mention you. :heartbounce: | |

He was a very curious cat! Whistlekit hoped they could talk more in the future. "Bye!" She waves her tail goodbye. She was right, being honest was a good thing! Her little mind is not very patient, and wanders off in search of something else more fun now. Like grooming her pretty fur. Sedgekit is very much relieved that the older warrior had left with his kits, so the conflict wouldn't escalate. He helplessly looks at his sister who has already settled down to lick her fur pridefully. He'll apologize to Snowybreeze when they later met, Sedgekit decides. It felt like the smart thing to do. Sedgekit licks his sister's head. Tags: @Alchemist Kitsune /Snowybreeze OPEN (Gotcha, bye bye Snowy~~~~~.) |
