"Well, she seems pretty good for an apprentice." He meowed grudgingly, staring across the clearing, lost in though. Willowpetal reminded him of the lively apprentice. Or atleast, Cucumberprickle made it seem that way. His tail flicked once as he looked back at the SkyClan tom cat. "So," he meowed, drawing a paw over his black ear. "You had two apprentices already?" |

Nighthowl finished grooming and let out a sigh. Sometimes he wished he could have an apprentice of his own, but he was sure that it wouldn't go over well. If the cat was nice, he would worry about crushing it's spirit, and if he or she was wild and obnoxious, they would spend their life as an apprentice that cleaned the elders den so much they got tired of having them there. Nighthowl flicked his ears, unsure of how to keep the conversation going. He was never a good socialist, and preferred to do something rather than talk. He always felt pressured to say something interesting and that made him feel like the awkwardness he really was instead of the prickliness that hid him. |

Re: SkyClan Clearing
Soft wisps of air made way for even softer tendrils of hair, as Vulturepaw succumbed to the warmth outside of the apprentices' den. Her ears pricked forwards, whilst brows furrowed at the vibrant contrast from the dark, mundane den, to the sun-lit clearing of Skyclan. Tinted green pools glittered as the hues reflected off of them, with ebony pupils growing in size; trying to take in the amount of movements and actions that were going on inside of the camp. Vulturepaw exhaled through her parted lips, letting the heavy air seep through her moist palette. She then pushed her chest out once more and took a deep breath in, allowing for her lungs to be replenished of the air that they so desperately needed. That in itself was like pressing the reset button for her. She was now prepared and ready for the day ahead of her. Her muscles were no longer as tense as her pre-woken self, and the small nagging pain at her shoulders had been forgotten. Silvery whiskers bounced about as the thick-furred molly began to ambulate forwards. Her banner curled at the tip and paws grasping at the loose terrain below. Her lips had already twisted upwards into a smile, and her eyes mirrored the same effect. She wasn't an overly excitable or extroverted character, however she would always smile; hoping that it could at least make one feline's day. @woly |

Sorry again for the late reply. I recently returned from the beach :3 ~~~ The black tom watched the medicine cat through gritted teeth, wanting oh-so-badly to claw that smirk off his scarred maw. "I just stepped on a thorn. It's nothing new, especially not in how long you've lived." It was a challenge that Deviousblaze would live up to, should Shinefang accept it. "Put some ointment on it or something." |

Surprisingly, Shinefang let out a croaky laugh at the warriors comment on his age. "Put some... ointment on it or something?" The old cat repeated slowly. "How about I get the thorn out first, kit-wit." Shinefang began licking the warrior's pad, trying to worry the thorn out enough to extract. Though he was focused on his work, the old cat was laughing on the inside. He loved a battle with sharp tongues as much as sharp claws. Within a minute, the thorn was out enough. "This might hurt," he warned an instant before pulling it out with his teeth. The tom dropped the thorn just inside his den entrance and off to the side, briefly searched his herb stores, snagged a dock leaf and returned. He ripped the leaf open with his teeth to get the juices flowing. "Hold out you paw. This is going to hurt more." Shinefang began applying the herb, and realizing the discomfort it would cause, decided to distract the cat with some small talk. "So how long have you been in Skyclan? Your scent doesn't quite fit yet, so not long I'm sure." |
