Mint smilled softly "Good morning." She mewed quietly. Mint's kits were still sleeping to, so were Willow and Ocean. Mint wanted to try to walk again but she knew Leopard wouldn't let her even if she begged for it. Mint was a little worried to, she had seen the look in his eyes when he looked at her, a guilty look. Mint didn't want him to feel guilty, she knew it was maybe time to talk, alone. Mint knew she had to stand up first for that. Mint carefully placed the kits against Willow, she sat up, perfectly aware that Leopard and Echo could see her. Mint slowly stood up, on three legs, she looked at Leopard with a worried look in her eyes "I know what you're going to say, but i need to talk to you." Mint mewed, a worried look in her eyes.

Leopard's ears flattened. He understood Mint wanted to talk.
"Okay," Leopard mewed, "please, take it easy though..." He padded over to Mint, His fur gently touching her's. |

Mint smilled softly "Yes, i will." Mint mewed, she padded out of the cave onto the beach. She couldn't walk fast, and it was really hard not to notice how slow she was walking. Mint stopped and sat down in the middle of the beach, she looked calm but she wasn't. She knew it was never going to heal again, she would never run, swim or hunt again. But that wasn't the hardest part, she hated to see Leopard feeling guilty, it was not his fault and it was time that he realized that. Mint's tail swayed nervously, waiting for Leopard to come.

Leopard caught up with Mint, and sat down. He shifted his paws uneasily.
"What was it you wanted to talk about with me?" he asked nervously. |

Mint looked up at Leopard "You can't do this to yourself. I'm not stupid Leopard, i can see it in your eyes. You are feeling guilty because of me." Mint mewed, she looked at her leg and then back to Leopard. "You are not to blame Leopard. You need to stop with blaming yourself." Mint took a short stop and then continued. "It's not your fault Leopard, it really isn't." Mint mewed, her fur touching his slightly as she sat next to him. "We both made a mistake, i wasn't aware of that twoleg to untill it was to late. We all make mistakes Leopard, nobody is perfect. You are my brother Leopard, i would do it again if i have to, you know that." Mint mewed. "Stop blaming yourself." Mint mewed, she looked at him. Mint layed her head on his chest "You are such a mousebrain for doing this to yourself." Mint mewed.

Leopard touched his head with Mint's lovingly.
"Okay, Mint," He sighed. "I guess i'll try to. Thank you for saving my life." He concluded, licking atop of Mint's muzzle. |

Mint smilled softly, she burried her muzzle in his fur "You don't have to thank me silly." Mint chuckled. She looked back up at Leopard. She was happy that he was atleast going to try to stop blaming it on himself. It was still dark, but the sun would start to rise soon. Mint purred as her head was still laying on Leopard's chest "Mhmm, i like this, i think i'm going to stay here like this." Mint joked, she was clearly in a better mood already.

Leopard purred, feeling happier himself. Leopard's tail wrapped around his sister's, showing his own affection. He looked up at the dark, early morning sky.
Echo glaces outside. She purred, happy for Mint and Leopard. Neon squirmed under her, and he woke up. He looked at Echo, but then he noticed his father was gone. Neon tilted his head curiously, wondering where he had gone. |

Mint purred, she was happy that Leopard was feeling better. She felt Leopard's tail twisting around her's, she smilled. Apple, Storm and River still layed quiety asleep against Willow, he hadn't noticed them at all and kept sleeping. Ocean was still sleeping to. Mint felt better then before, she was very relieved that Leopard was alright. She knew they would have to go back to the cave soon, but Mint didn't want to yet. She pulled away from Leopard, but not to leave. Mint layed down into the sand, showing that she wasn't planning to leave yet. A soft breeze flew trough her fur while she layed there, she loved to be back outside. Mint looked at Leopard as she layed there "You can go back if you want but then you'll miss the best part, it's the perfect spot when the sun will rise. It's very warm and very beautifull to see." Mint mewed with a smile on her muzzle.

Leopard looked over at the sky, his tail swaying curiously.
"I'd love to watch!" Leopard mewed, lying next to Mint, his own fur brushing hers. His cyan eyes looked up to the sky, observing it thoughtfully. He saw the sun starting to rise, little by little, over the sea. He purred, feeling it vibrating against Mint, for he had been leaning against her. |
