The apprentice winced at his tone, oh yeah, he was clearly mad. What in the world could she do? She could be friendly, but this cat was.. odd. "I-I don't.. think I've seen you around before.. What's your name?" She stuttered. Her voice was so nervous, but then again, she'd never been this anxious, but this warrior was just.. scary. Darkpaw heard whispers in her ears, she held back a shudder and stood.. tall? She was already pretty small, so it didn't really help much. She attempted to give the warrior one of her winning smiles, but it came out as.. well.. not very charming. It was a weak one, which hadn't normally happened to her before. The voices got louder, and she could tell what they were saying now. She pushed them away, she didn't WANT to hear them. The dark furred she-cat tried not to look at the ground, that would just make her seem more afraid.

Burningspark was ready for the she-cat to nod, mumble a second apology, and stumble away from him like most cats did. Either his scarred pelt that always smelled faintly of smoke drove them off or his cold, even glances did. He wasn't like the rest of his clanmates; there was no uncertainty in how he wanted to go about his life. In fact, he decided he might even like Dawnstars leadership. However, he was surprised that the apprentice - who he was quickly realizing wasnt as short as he first thought - decided to stick by and make small-talk with him. Strange. He thought. "Burningspark. I've been around for more than a few moons by now, but I suppose it's good you haven't seen me before. Means I'm good at what I do." Which is sticking to me, myself, and I. He thought, already slightly uncomfortable talking to her. Burningspark trained, hunted, and defended. He wasn't much of a talker.
