Sparrowskip ____________ It had been a while since Sparrowskip visited the Cattail pond. One of his favorite spots. He had passed it on the way home, but payed no mind to it as he the plants are very loud. Thankfully today they were quiet and he was able to sit down peacefully and observe the water. It was nice looking at the dragonflies and frogs going about their days. As he watched, he noticed a white pelt in the corner of his eye as someone seemed to be approaching him. |

Blizzardwind had quite a lot of time on his paws, what with Petuniapaw going off on some stupid little adventure without telling anyone. She had consumed his mind, and he was being driven mad with worry. Silly little kit, didn't understand how cruel the world outside of her Clan was. He knew. All too well, how the world outside of RiverClan could be. He tried not to think about it. About her. The senior warrior padded down through the territory. For someone who had a lot of time on his paws, he hardly ever spent it in silence. Without the chattering cats of camp or squealing kits, it was almost... peaceful. Only slightly. It was hard to be peaceful when the young cat placed in your care, who you were responsible for, vanished. No scent. No sign of her. It was infuriating how helpless he was. Cattail Pond was up ahead, he could see it. It had been a while since he had been here. There was a cat sitting by the pond, and Blizzardwind hadn't noticed how dead set his paws had been on approaching the cat. If the cat didn't seem to notice him, he would run away, his ant-social mind wouldn't be able to handle any more interaction. But he was morally obligated to approach the cat, now. So he did. As he got closer, he identified him as Sparrowskip. Had never met him, but the other tom seemed to be level-headed, and at least slightly competent. As soon as he was close enough to be within earshot, he nodded politely to the warrior. "... nice day, isn't it?" |

Sparrowskip ____________ Sparrowskip turned around to see.. Blizzardwind approaching him. He had seen the cat around but Sparrowskip was too busy running around everywhere to say anything to him. "I'd say so, it's days like this that make me wish I was a kit again." It was such a simpler time back then. Having a deputy dad meant he could get away with pretty much anything, spending the days with Sunpaw was something he wish he could get back. "It's been a while since I've visited over here, but I felt the urge today." He said with a small smile. "What brings you over here? I don't usually see cats around here.. but then again I was gone for a bit so I have no idea if cats visit over here more now." |

Crashstep has to not been meaning to go for a dip, maybe do some light fishing but... there was someone there. These were supposed to be his quite hours and yet. There was someone. In his space. It infuriated him. How inconsiderate. Inconvenient. “Hey! What are you doing out here?!” He called out to the she-cat. It seemed she’d just gotten out of the water, how annoying. Now it wouldn’t be clean. Ughhhhhhh. He just hated when that happened. Rude. @Nixey |

Blizzardwind nodded slowly at Sparrowskip's response. He didn't understand it when some cat got nostalgic about a childhood hangout area. He tried not to reminisce his youth too much, as it was quite unpleasant, and he didn't quite enjoy his younger moons, so he had basically tried to forget them completely. Either way, he never really noticed beautiful days. Just never thought about it. The other tom's question was a good one. Why had he come to Cattail Pond? Usually he went to Lionsbeach, so why here today? ''I... I don't know, Just wanted a change of scenery, I suppose. I needed time away from camp, or I'd do something I regretted.'' Like beat some crazed cat senseless when they attacked him at the Clan meeting, instead just berating them violently. ''I don't think cats come over here often. Shame, it's quite nice here.'' At least it was quieter without a ton of cats going on walks here. He didn't say that, though. No reason in acting like he was a complete anti-social. |

Sparrowskip ____________ Sparrowskip knew that feeling, when you just wanted to be somewhere yet you didn't know why. It was a bit of a good feeling though, it felt nice to finally be at that spot even though you had no idea why you wanted to be there. "I agree! I learned to swim here and I must say it is one of the better spots to learn. Maybe thats why i'm reminiscing about it." He said with a small smile forming on his face. Another thing that Sparrowskip wouldn't care to mention is that the plants near the Cattail pond were much.. calmer than any other plants. The were serene and had talked very softly which Sparrowskip very much appreciated. "It's a very nice hunting spot too, I'm glad not many cats come over here as if we fish too much there'll be nothing left to fish." Since it was a pond, the fish population was smaller than normal rivers or streams so it was important not to overfish. |

Skysplash wandered around the territory. Loneliness stabbed into her like a thorn. She always walked alone, never with another cat. She didn't have an apprentice or any siblings. No best friend or mate. She shook her head. She had to stop being sorry for herself. Skysplash started walking to cattail pond, drinking in the fresh scents. Her ears pricked. She heard a frog croak in the distance and... talking? Skysplash paused, listening to the conversation. She shook her head. She shouldn't eavesdrop. Skysplash pushed forward, scrambling through some bushes. she then saw the chatting cats. Swallowing, she meowed "Hello. It's a good day, isn't it?"

Ah. This place was a good place to earn how to swim, the water wasn't rushing and it was quite safe. Not too deep, but deep enough. Perfect spot for taking a dip, though Blizzardwind hadn't taken a 'dip' in a while. It got him all stiff whenever he swam too much. The disadvantages of being old. ''It does seem like a good place to learn how to swim.'' He commented, echoing his thoughts. ''Ah, yes. Overfishing in a pond is different than overfishing in a river. The river has nearly an endless supply of fish coming from upstream, the pond fish need time to reproduce, or there'll be no fish at all in here.'' He agreed looking at the water. And admiring how the light danced across the surface. Nice. |
