While playfighting, Wavekit caught a glimpse of another kit, Pumpkinkit, laying on his nest, looking bored. Wavekit briefly turned around and spoke to him. "Hey, Im Wavekit! Wanna play with us?"

PumpkinKit snapped out of his daydreaming when he suddenly realized someone was talking to him, his eyes landed on another kit, who he remembers seeing a few times before. He sat up a bit straighter, eyes lighting up when WaveKit invited him to play.

"Yes! Yes! I'd lovvvee to play."

The tom exclaimed with excitement, jumping up from his nest and padding over.

"I'm PumpkinKit."

He purred, gaze flickering to the other kit that WaveKit was tousling with moments before.

A purr rumbled through the 'mother' of thirteen as Vinekit and Emberkit wandered over to her, the former returning from her quest and the latter... just a curious kitten, Softdaisy supposed.

"That's perfect, thank you." She pressed a paw experimentally against the moss bedding. "Do you need me to..." Softdaisy paused, wondering how willing the demoted apprentice would be to talk about it. "Do I need to talk to Wolfhive for you?"

Chasmkit saw Pumpkinkit too and turned around to face him. She said, "My name is Chasmkit! And you are..." Chasmkit was feeling happy, although she missed her family. Her ear flicked.

"Oooh, Pumpkinkit! That's a really nice name! I haven't ever seen a pumkin before, but it souds tasty!" The little kit rambled on before regaining focus and turning back to Chasmkit. "Alright, now, what could the three of us play, hmm..." Wavekit stayed silent for a moment, almost as if lost in thought, until their eyes brightened when an idea came to their little head. "I know! We can play patrol!! Like, pretend like we are a patrol of big, strong, Thunderclan warriors defending our borders from evil rogues and kittypets and other clans!! The nursery can be our territory!" Wavekit explained, making gestures with their little paws while they were explaining the game to help get their point across.

Vinekit shrugged. "He said I needed 3 referrals that I'm behaving. If you think that I'm behaving, sure." She meowed, not entirely caring if she would stay a kit forever.

Weepingwillow nodded at Vinekit. "I'll tell'em. He comes around here enough." Weepingwillow meowed, licking Flykit, Cricketkit, and Beetlekit's heads. The three of the thirteen kits she was helping nurse. Emberkit joined the kits in feeding.

Vinekit purred. "Thanks, you two." She meowed and licked both of their heads delicately. "If you need me, just give a yowl. I'll come running." Vinekit meowed and left the nursery, giving her tail a twitch as a goodbye.

PumpkinKit listened intently to WaveKit's rambling, nodding at the suggestion of the game. I mean, they were bound to be warriors some day. Or a medicine cat, he supposed, but that seemed boring.


When ChasmKit pointed out there were a few cats in their "territory", PumpkinKit agreed to "attacking" them.

"Yeahh! Let's get 'em!"
