Yewpaw's stomach was twisted all up in knots before they even left the gathering, fearing what would follow when they reached ShadowClan's camp. Reluctantly, she kept her mentor in sight. They hadn't talked since the ceremony. Mothquiver, was it? If something went wrong... would he help? Or would he just be another Brindlejaw? Stars, she didn't feel ready to fight. Not yet. Just a few lessons from Coldsong, was that really enough? It didn't feel like it. She wished she could live her life without going into battle.

"Listen," she mewed, catching up to the tom, "I know we're probably supposed to... stick together and all since you're my mentor but I don't- I don't know about this. This isn't... safe." Her voice lacked any of the bitterness it held during their last encounter. It shook as she watched some of their clanmates dive into the clearing, claws unsheathed. Sparring was one thing but this? This was real battle. Life or death. Yewpaw was scared.

What in the stars was going on? Frogpaw had made her way into the apprentice's den to collapse in her nest as soon as they returned from the gathering but the sounds of yowling soon drew her out again. Windclanners - tearing down dens and into the flesh of her clanmates. It made her fur bristle. The clearing was already chaos but the first WindClan apprentice she saw, she would throw herself at, claws unsheathed. Frogpaw didn't have much fighting experience just yet, but she was sure she could improvise.
