After piling the plates and cups into a neat pile Heron padded over quietly and respectfully listening, hands folded. He was watching Neon when suddenly his teacher vanished! Poof! Gone without a trace! Herons eyes widened in surprise. “Where are you Sir. Neon!?” He asked.

Heron flushed embarrassed before focusing once more on what Sir. Neon was saying. After Sir. Neon finished his little speech the panther stared at Sophie and him in awe. “Wow that’s amazing Sophie! You and Sir. Neon must be the most powerful animals in the world!” He exclaimed.

Hilda let out a snort. Oh, wow, born special. All of that hard work was nothing apparently.
"Don't get too smug, magic must be practiced all your life." she said, lashing her dark, stripy tail. She turned to the newbie.
"You, you're the new wizard trainee, right? Remember: If you trust in yourself. . .and believe in your dreams. . .and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.” she said, her hat casting a shadow on her face.

Heron let out a squeak of delight as he was lifted into the air. Knowing and not caring it was kitties he splayed his arms out like he had wings. “Wow! This is amazing! Thank you Sir! ” He mewed gratefully.
