Silentpaw purred hoarsely. Quailpaw was one of the first cats to show her kindness in Shadowclan, and it wasn't something she would forget. Taking a peek at herself in a nearby puddle and trying to remember how she used to look, she realized Quailpaw was right. I am bigger! "Yeah! I'm training to be best! Wolfstrike is mentor now!" She was too excited to keep her grammar in check. While great things had been happening, some bad things were too. "You know Frogpaw?" He was awful. But she did have to give it to him, he had helped her break out of her shell more and stop being so much of a doormat. |

"Flying sounds like so much fun, but really scary too. I mean, we can bounce and pounce and spring around like rabbits already, and climbs trees. Do you think any cat has actually...flown before?" She wondered aloud, though not directly to Charcoalkit herself, as the pale yellow tabby began staring off into space, befuddled by the idea of a flying cat and doing her best to picture it. |

"Oh, my brother is an apprentice already but I got lost on the territory so maybe that's why I'm not one yet. I'd probably get distracted too. But I wanna be the strongest and the best and fill the void that sucks me in deeper every day into a state of monotony. And I wanna fly and maybe if I jump off a cliff or something I will no that's stupid I'll just turn into bloody goop!" she said with an almost incomprehensible speed. |

"Oh! What if I became your mentor? No that'd be a bad idea, wouldn't it? But it would be fun! I would be the best mentor for you! I wouldn't get pushy or bossy, unless you do something that's really dumb of course!" She teased and flicked the kit with her fluffy tail, her long fur almost hiding the kit under it. |

"Well, maybe you will. I don't know who will be my mentor, really. I like thinking, I always fall and get hurt a lot and I'm bad at mossball so I don't like it so I make up stories. I tried to share them with the other kits but they aren't interested like I made one up about a bad cat who likes flowers and It has a great plot twist at the end!" she said, smiling. |

"Really? I'd love to hear it sometime!" Meadowbee purred to the kit, "Don't worry about clumsiness, Char. All kits are clumsy, and even some apprentices!" She chuckled. |

"Phew, that was close." she said. |

Quailpaw wrinkled his nose. "Frogpaw? I know of him. Only talked to him once and never bothered to again. Has he been badgering you?" His mew was a gruff, but not harsh. He noted with surprise how much more freely she was speaking now- his first instinct had been protective, but it seemed as if she wasn't helpless anymore. "Wolfstrike, that's really, uh, cool," he added, forcing a laugh. Speaking of mentors, he supposed that he did miss Blackforest. But no one had seen him for moons... |

Bouncepaw Bouncepaw couldn't help it, he begun to shudder, but smoothed his pelt down, exhaling into a warm smile. Shadowclan wasn't perfect, but... He could live with this. He gave the kit a ginger nod, raising to his paws- as much as he would love to sit and talk to her all day, he had work to do- and turning towards the Medicine Cat's den. His paws got covered with mud as it stuck to the sap on his paws. "S-sounds like a plan, you can come see me whenever, o-okay?" he gave her another nod of acknowledgement as he began to pad off, "Have a good afternoon." |
Re: ShadowClan Clearing
Crowkit Crowkit let out a purr as the tome spoke, standing to her own paws as he waved goodbye with her tail. He was a bit strage, but she liked that cat. But then again, who in this forest wasn't strange? They lived in clans for Starclan's sake. Letting the thoughts run in and out of her head, she returned the smile as he mentioned coming to see him, then glanced up at the sky. The sun was definitely no longer high in the sky. How long had the two been talking? The sun wasn't quite low enough for her to consider heading back into the nursery to sleep just yet, as much as she wanted to, but not high enough still to play around either. Letting out a content sigh, the small she-cat felt a familar tug in her stomach, glancing over to the nearly abandoned fresh-kill pile with hunger, but not for food. Soon enough she would learn how to properly hunt, to be able to feed her clan. Her clan, if felt weird, resting on the tip of her tongue, but strangely she loved it. Finally breaking away from her daydream, Crowkit padded over to the pile, sorting through to grab a small mouse for herself before pausing. She had heard that if you brought the elders some prey, they would tell you a story. That sounded nice, the perfect end to a calm day. Grabbing an additional frog, she padded off towards the elder's den, tail held high as the two pieces of prey thumped quietly against her thick chest fur. |
